《Sanders Sides One Shots: Volume 1 [COMPLETED]》The Second Cookie (Platonic Moxiety & Logicality)

Patton's POV:
Don't expect me to explain to you why this had me so bothered okay? But Logan said he didn't have time to hang out with me, and something about the way he said it made me feel... weird. Even though I know it's not true, I feel like he hates me, or that I just annoy him... Which really sucks because I really like him... if you know what I mean.
I let out a sigh as I walked down the hall, heading to the kitchen. I felt like I needed a cookie... probably two because of how bad I feel...
Virgil's POV:
I looked up as Patton entered the kitchen. He looked upset for a split second before returning to normal. Anyone else wouldn't have even noticed, but I'm extremely observant. I decided not to question it however, knowing there was always a small chance I was wrong. Maybe he was just tired after a rough day and he was fine.
"Hey Kiddo!" he said, ruffling my hair a little as he passed me on the way to the cabinet. I gave him an annoyed look, although I didn't actually mind that much... it was kinda comforting...
I didn't respond as he opened the cabinet and grabbed the cookies he had stashed up there. He sat down with it at the table. From my place on the counter, I looked up occasionally from my phone. He had taken a cookie and was eating it slowly, looking lost in thought. I was confused by how distant he looked, but chose to once again ignore it. It wasn't my business, especially because I could be overthinking it-
My thought stopped as he reached for a second cookie. That... That was how I knew something was wrong. "Uh, hey Patton?" I spoke up hesitantly. He looked up, a typical wide smile on his face. "Are you okay?"
His smile faltered a little. "O-Of course Kiddo!"
I raised an eyebrow at him, looking down at the second cookie and back up at him. He sighed, shaking his head a little. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked a little uncomfortably. I wasn't very good at these things.
"Not here," he said, gesturing to the kitchen. "Here, we can go to my room."
I nodded, hopping off the counter and sneakily grabbing a cookie before he put them away. He turned around from the cabinet and smiled as I bit into the cookie, shaking his head a little. I followed him to his room where he flopped on the bed and let out a long sigh.

"So what's up?" I asked, sitting next to him.
"It's something stupid really," he mumbled, sitting up. "I wanted to spend time with Logan cause you know..."
He blushed as I smirked a little, nodding in understanding. He sighed again. "Well, when I went and asked him, he was really really busy and said he couldn't, but the way he worded it kinda made me feel... upset."
"Well, how did he say it?" I asked, tilting my head to the side curiously.
"It was something like, 'I don't have time to mess around with you Patton' and I don't know... it just got under my skin and now I'm paranoid..."
I frowned. "That sounds like Logan was stressed and wasn't thinking about what he was saying," I said, placing a hand hesitantly on his shoulder. "I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it. In fact," I leaned closer to whisper, "I think he likes you back."
Patton's eyes lit up. "Really?!" he exclaimed before quieting his voice. "How do you know?!"
I smiled. "He blushes every time you get close to him."
"Really?!" he asked, smiling with a bright pink blush on his own face. "Thank you Kiddo."
I froze as he hugged me tightly. I found myself slowly smiling and hugging him back. "Anytime Dad," I said quietly. I hear him gasp as he pulled away.
"Did... did you just call me 'dad'?" he asked, looking as though he was about to cry from happiness. I found myself looking away embarrassed with a small nod. "Oh my goodness, I love you so much Kiddo! I can't believe you called me dad! I'm so happy!"
He hugged me again, only this time I didn't freeze up and simply returned it right away. "Love you too Dad, and if it makes you happy for me to call you that, I don't mind," I said quietly.
He pulled away with a big smile on his face. "Well, you wanna play some video games?" he asked, nodding to the TV which had a PS4 connected to it. I nodded excitedly.
We set up the new Crash Bandicoot, deciding to switch off the controller whenever the other died. Of course all of us had already beaten the game, but it was still fun. We were soon 100% each level; after a few tries each of course. We had gotten to the new patched level, supposedly the level that was deemed too hard to be in the game.

"Okay, now JUMP!" I yelled as Patton almost died right before the end. He successfully landed to the safety of the last platform before the end portal.
"WE DID IT!" Patton yelled. I cheered, high-fiving him. "Whew, how bout a movie and popcorn?"
I gave him a curious look. "But, we haven't eaten dinner and it's like 6:30pm," I pointed out. He smirked. With a snap of his fingers, there was suddenly a box of pizza on the bed, complete with paper plates and 2 liter soda bottles. "Wha-"
I looked at him and he gave me a wink as he opened the box. The delicious smell of pizza washed over me, making my mouth water. He snapped his fingers again and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" came on, which just so happened to be our favorite. I smiled again as I took a couple slices of pizza and put it on my plate, snuggling up into the pillows and blankets, Patton doing the same.
Patton's POV:
About halfway through the movie, we'd finished the entire pizza between the two of us and most of the soda was gone as well. I was having more fun than ever when I felt something heavy on my shoulder. Looking over in surprise, I realized Virgil had fallen asleep and was leaning on my shoulder. I smiled wide and carefully picked him up. I carried him out into the hall, heading toward his room.
I suddenly came face to face with Logan, narrowly avoiding bumping into him. "Oh, salutations Patton," he said. "I was just looking for you-"
"Shh!" I shushed him quietly as Virgil curled into my arms a little more. I smiled again at how cute he was. I loved my dark strange son so much.
Logan looked confused until he looked down to see the little dark angel asleep. He made an 'oh' face and continued more quietly. "I wanted to talk to you."
I felt nervousness form in my stomach, but I nodded. "Let me put him to bed first," I replied in a whisper, continuing into his room. Logan waited in the doorway as I moved to Virgil's bed, where I gently laid him down. He seemed to protest a little at first until I moved the covers over him for him to snuggle into with a content smile on his face. I smiled again, placing a gentle kiss to his forehead.
I went to exit, Logan blinking as he stepped out of the doorway so I could close the door behind us. "So, I needed to talk to you," Logan said again, looking at the ground. I nodded nervously, leading him to my room. I sat down on the bed, patting the spot in front of me for him to sit.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about?" I asked, keeping my voice as steady as possible to hide how nervous I was. He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"I was... I was actually wondering..." he took a deep breath, and I could have sworn a blush was on his cheeks. "I'm sorry about being too busy to spend time with you today. I truly do enjoy your company, and I was *swallow* wondering if you wanted to go out sometime?"
My eyes widened to what felt like the size of the moon. "Y-You're asking me out on a date?"
"I-I believe that is another correct term for it," he said, nervously straightening his glasses. I felt my heart racing.
"I-I'd l-love to!" I said, grinning like the lovesick idiot I was. Logan looked a little surprised.
"Really?" he asked, smiling a little. I nodded excitedly. "Okay, well, shall we do go do something tomorrow?"
I nodded again. He smiled wider, nodding and standing up. "Okay, well, then... see you tomorrow," he said a little awkwardly as I stood in the door way. I smiled, nodding yet again. I was speechless. "Goodnight Patton."
"Goodnight Logan!" I squeaked as he started to walk away with a smile. I closed the door and immediately collapsed against it, holding back a happy squeal as I cupped my face with my hands. I'm so glad I grabbed that second cookie earlier, or none of this might've happened!
