Roman's POV:
My eyes cracked open slightly, hearing hushed voices from the couch across the room. I looked over in their direction, seeing Patton and Logan blushing furiously as they inched their way to sit closer and closer to each other. I stayed still, watching them while hiding a smile.
"So... Roman kind of interrupted what you were saying last night," Logan said, looking anywhere but Patton, a blush clearly evident on his cheeks. "Would you feel so inclined to finish what you were saying?"
Patton nodded nervously, blushing as he bit his bottom lip. "R-Right well, I was, uh-" his voice was shaking as he looked back at Logan, meeting his gaze. "I w-was saying that I... I like you Logan..."
I suppressed a squeal of delight that he actually told him the feelings he'd been harboring for years. I saw the way Logan leaned in closer to the dad-like character, and how he leaned in back.
"I'd like to say I return your feelings Patton," he said as his nose brushed that of his opposite. "I like you very much, in a romantic sense."
The two of them were blushing like mad as they closed the distance between their lips in a sweet kiss. I smiled as they pulled away. They were both clearly flustered and embarrassed for what just happened between, but were definitely happy about it.
"We should probably continue this conversation in one of our rooms," Logan suggested with a breathless smile. "We'll end up waking Roman."
Patton nodded in agreement, smiling as he took his hand and pulled him off to one of their rooms. I don't really know what they did, as I slipped off to sleep once again.
When I woke once more, I felt a heavy weight on my leg. I remembered Anx had decided to lay there during the movie, and we must have fallen asleep. I smiled, absentmindedly reaching down to stroke his head. I ran my fingers through the fur on his head, hearing a rumble of a purr rise from his chest.

After a moment, I realized how much heavier his head felt than it had last night. In that moment I also realized his 'fur' was actually soft strands of hair. My eyes snapped open and looked down, jaw dropping at the sight.
Anxiety was curled up with his head resting on my leg, asleep and purring as I ran my fingers through his hair. It occurred to me that I hadn't STOPPED running my fingers through his hair.
Wait a second, when did Anxiety get here?! He wasn't even at movie night last night!! Why s he cuddling against my leg?! And where did Anx go?! my thoughts screamed as my cheeks warmed.
"Hey, Anxiety," I muttered, frantically trying to wake him despite feeling guilt about it. I had a lot of questions I needed answers to. "Virgil!"
"Huh?" he said sleepily. He looked up, meeting my eyes for a moment before they went wide in realization. "Oh my god... oh my god oh my god oh my god! I'm so sorry!"
He jumped away from me, clearly hyperventilating. He looked terrified, and was about to have a panic attack. "Whoa! Anxiety!" I exclaimed frantically drawing him close to me as he panicked. "Shh, shh, calm down, breathe, I've got you."
It didn't seem to be helping much, so I remembered what I did for Anx when he had a panic attack, as that definitely helped.
"I'd rather waltz than just walk through the forest. The trees keep the tempo and they sway in time. Quartet of crickets chime in for the chorus. If I were to pluck on your heart strings would you strum on mine?" I sang softly into his ear, gently running my hand through his hair once more. He relaxed, letting out a long sigh as he leaned into me. "I've got you..."

After about five minutes of silence, I spoke up. "Anxiety?" I started. "How did you get on my lap when you weren't at movie night last night?"
He pulled away from our embrace with a heavy sigh. "You might want to sit down," he murmured. "This will be a lot to take in."
I listened to him, sitting back down on the couch. He did the same, fiddling with his hands as he began. "Okay... Roman, there's this thing that happens when a trait gets overwhelmed. They're changed into a form that won't harm the host. For me, well... I turn into a kitten, Roman..." he said, looking anywhere but at me.
Everything seemed to stop as I realized what he was saying. He was the black kitten... He was Anx... I had cuddled him, pet him, dressed him, and... I had confessed to him.
"I-I understand if you're freaked out," he said sadly. "I don't blame you if you want to avoid me now..."
I couldn't say anything in response as my brain worked things out. I had told Virgil, that I had a crush on Virgil, while he was a kitten. Now Virgil was sitting in front of me, fully aware of my feelings toward him.
"Virgil..." I began, voice shaking a little. "I didn't know it was you... how did I miss it? You were missing all day, Anx could understand us, it clearly didn't want to be touched or held that much, it didn't want the crown or the bow on his head and loved the hoodie, it literally reassured me that Virgil wouldn't be bothered if he missed movie night, which it knew because it was you, and..."
I bit my lip, not knowing how to feel. Virgil opened his mouth to say something but a sudden thought made me cut him off.
"Wait, before you had a panic attack, you hated being touched or held," I pondered out loud. "But after your panic attack, you were very affectionate toward me... you kept rubbing your cheek against mine, or brushing you face against me."
I looked up at Virgil, who was blushing furiously. "Was there a reason?" I asked cautiously. I reached out to take his hand gently. "Maybe something to do with what I told you after the panic attack?"
I couldn't continue asking him anything before he smashed his lips against mine. My eyes went wide as I comprehended what was happening. I kissed him back, but he was so passionate I ended up falling back against the couch. He pulled away, both of us panting.
"I love you too," Virgil murmured. "I'm sorry for all this stuff, with me turning into a cat."
I laughed, kissing his lips quickly. "I couldn't care less about that," I say. "We can work that out later, but right now I want to keep kissing these lips."
