《Sanders Sides One Shots: Volume 1 [COMPLETED]》Rewrite the Stars (Prinxiety)

Roman chased after him as he left the theatre. He was disgusted that his parents could speak to the man he so obviously loved the way they had. He knew that Virgil was hurting as he entered the circus building. The darkly dressed trapeze artist was wrapping his wrists with the tape, and had already stripped down to his practice uniform. "Virgil..."
He didn't respond, not looking at Roman. His eyes were glossy as he continued wrapping his wrists. He didn't look up immediately when the current ringmaster knelt in front of him either.
"They're small minded people, Virgil," Roman said, trying to comfort him.
The trapeze artist shook his head, voice quiet. "It's not just them," he muttered. "It's everyone. Everyone looks at people like us like that, but you've never had anyone look at you the way your parents looked at me."
Virgil stood up, walking over to start wrapping one of the ropes. Roman watched him, taking a deep breath. "You know I want you," he sang quietly, taking slow steps toward him. "It's not a secret I try to hide."
The trapeze artist didn't say anything, trying ignore him as he continued wrapping the rope.
"I know you want me, so don't keep saying our hands are tied," Roman sang, continuing toward him. "You claim it's not in the cards, but fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me."
He moved closer, making Virgil look up, but not say anything. "But you're here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide, that you're my destiny?"
Virgil started unwrapping a different rope as Roman moved to stand directly in front of him. He looked slightly annoyed, but also shocked and confused.
"What if we rewrite the stars?" the prince-like man sang, giving Virgil chills despite not showing it. "Say you were made to be mine. Nothing could keep us apart," he stepped toward him as Virgil stepped back and toward the ring with the rope in hand. "You'd be the one I was meant to find. It's up to you, and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be."

Roman continuously got in his way as he tried to start practicing, stepping breathtakingly close and resting his hands gently on his waist as he smiled. When Virgil huffed and tried to walk away, he pulled him back by the rope.
"So why don't we rewrite the stars? Maybe the world could be ours," he sang as he stood close to him. "Tonight."
Roman hadn't realized he'd managed to wrap his hand around the rope. As he leaned closer, Virgil shot into the air, up into the rafters of the dark circus building. He looked around for him, eyes widening as he saw him above his head in the trapeze hoop.
"You think it's easy, you think I don't want to run to you," Virgil sang as he lowered from the ceiling, dangling from the hoop gracefully. "But there are mountains, and there are doors that we can't walk through."
He started to move around the hoop, Roman guiding him as he 'danced'. "I know you're wondering why, because we're able to be just you and me within these walls," he continued, raising out of Roman's reach and disappearing into the rafters once more. "But when we go outside, you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all."
"No one can rewrite the stars. How can you say you'll be mine?" Virgil sang, jumping to swing through the ring, almost hitting Roman, who moved in surprise. When he swung again, he did hit him, rolling onto the ground so that he was on top of him. "Everything keeps us apart, and I'm not the one you were meant to find."
He grabbed the rope as it fell, being pulled into the air quickly. Roman grabbed it, letting it pull him to his feet as he continued.

"It's not up to you. It's not up to me, when everyone tells us what we can be. How can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world can be ours?" he sang as he landed in front of Roman. "Tonight."
They were practically dancing at this point as their arms locked together inside the rope's loop. "All I want is to fly with you," they both sang as Roman tugged on the rope and sent them into the air. "All I want is to fall with you, so just give me all of you."
They broke apart once on the ground, singing differently. "It feels impossible," Virgil sang as Roman, overlapping, sang: "It's not impossible."
The trapeze artist sang once again, "Is it impossible?" as they started to run toward each other.
They swung into the air, directly toward each other as the sang together. "Say that it's possible!"
They caught each other, spinning together tightly before Roman planted his feet and let Virgil go soaring into the air.
"How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine?" they both sang as he swung around the room. Roman watched in awe before running toward the stands. "Nothing can keep us apart, cause you are the one I was meant to find! It's up to you, and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be"
Roman climbed up into the stands and jumped to grab the rope, looping an arm around Virgil's waist as they swung together.
"Why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours," they both sang as they slowed down to stand in front of each other on the ground, both breathing heavily.
Virgil seemed to remember what had happened, and what would happen if they were openly in a relationship. As much as he wanted to, he couldn't. "You know I want you. It's not a secret I try to hide," he sang softly, making Roman look hopeful. "But I can't have you... We're bound to break and my hands are tied..."
He turned walking away without looking back, leaving Roman standing under the spotlight of the circus ring alone.

Second attempt at a synposis. Somehow I can't seem to make it work. Removed Traumatising Content tag. This is mainly a slice-of-life with romance and hints of comedy since I can't make a joke lols. It will be relatively short since I'm just wanting to see if I can follow through to complete a story as I envision it. Cover from google images. I do not own this art.
