About two months ago, Taehyung and Maya were supposed to have adopted a pup but the plan was canceled and Taehyung respected the wish of his wife even though he didn't know the reason behind the change of decision. As for Maya, she was already giving up on the stupid vitamins the doctor gave her. None of them worked because no matter how many times her Alpha knotted her, nothing happened. Well, except that her need for sex increased and she felt like strangling that doctor for wasting her time.

Meanwhile, Taehyung knew something was going on with his wife. He noticed that her breasts got bigger and her hips were wider, like her body was ready to carry pups. Taehyung would stare intensely at the changing female, praying hard that his suspicion of possible pregnancy was false.

"You put on some weight". Taehyung teased Maya as she walked into the living room with a tray of cookies.

"Is it a bad thing?" Maya asked, putting the tray on the side stool.

"I never said it was bad, you lo..."

Taehyung couldn't complete his words before his wife was running away from the living room to their bedroom. He was confused at the sudden action but he followed her regardless, worried that something serious may be happening.

Maya was throwing up into the toilet. One hand on her stomach and the other on her chest as she continuously heaved and coughed. Taehyung stood by the door with his hands folded into his chest while he watched the sick female. Maya flushed the toilet and rinsed her mouth before turning around to notice that her husband had been standing there. The eye contact between them was clear that they both understood what was going on.

"How is this possible, the contraceptive implant is not supposed to expire until the next three years". Taehyung asserted, staring at his wife suspiciously like he could tell she knew exactly how she got pregnant.

"Alpha can we talk?" She said with a shaky voice, eyes fixed to the floor.

Taehyung shook his head at the name she called him knowing that it was a way to calm him down. They entered their bedroom and Maya sat down waiting for Taehyung to join her.

"I know you are mad at me but please let me explain". The female said.

"I'm not mad at you. I just feel betrayed that you let this happen without my consent. You know how risky this is?" Taehyung spoke calmly, holding back from raising his voice and going crazy at that moment.

"Alpha I want this". Maya joined her hands to plead for the Alpha's understanding.

"You and I know how impossible this is. No matter how much you submit to me, you're still an Alpha and you know what would happen if you birth a pup". Taehyung was scared at the thought of losing his mate.

"This pup that I'm carrying is a symbol of out love, it's my most valuable gift to you to show you how much you mean to me". Maya said tearfully as she got on her knees to plead for her Alpha's acceptance.

"This is why you cancelled the adoption? This is why you've been secretive for months? This is why you made such a decision without my knowledge?" Taehyung's voice was starting to get louder with each question but he still helped the kneeling female stand up.

"Forgive me Alpha". She begged.

"We're going to the hospital tomorrow. You're not birthing that pup and I will not accept it". Taehyung spoke in his alpha voice as he stood up to leave the bedroom.

"I'm not getting rid of my pup and I won't change my mind even if you reject it". Maya's tears fell uncontrollably.

"So you decided to be selfish? You'll give me a pup and then what? I'll lose you, that's what you want?" Taehyung yelled, finally letting his temper loose.

"We could seek solutions to keep me alive after birthing". Maya mumbled.

"Are you fucking kidding me? You know there's no solution. Maya if you keep this pup, you're gonna die. What am I supposed to do with a pup without the mother?" The alpha yelled again, shaking his head at how oblivious his mate was acting.

"All I want is for you to accept the..."

"You will get rid of it and that's final!"

"I rather die that get rid of my pup".

"Well you're gonna die if you keep it anyway!"

"If you reject it then bear in mind that this marriage is over. I'll leave this house and take care of my pup without you".

"Dare step an inch out of this house and see what happens".

Taehyung walked out on Maya and she broke down again, rubbing her flat belly to comfort herself. She wouldn't blame Taehyung one bit for reacting that way and even though he said he didn't accept the pup, she still understood that he was being protective of her.

While rubbing her belly, Maya remembered how she thought the vitamins were fake and she started chuckling.

"I thought you'd never come my precious". She spoke to the pup as if it would hear.

Taehyung was feeling all types of emotions except happiness. There was no way he'd be happy about a pup that would take Maya's life. He was mad at her for making such a decision without telling him, after all he had the right to decide if he wanted a pup too. He felt betrayed and mostly, he was afraid to lose Maya.

Seven days had passed since they found out about Maya's pregnancy and the alpha stood firm on his decision to get the pup terminated but Maya wouldn't give in.

It had gotten to the point where they no longer talked to each other and sometimes Taehyung would stay at work till late in the night to avoid seeing or talking to the female.

While morning sickness was dealing with Maya, she had no one to help her with the chores and her husband never noticed what she was going through until one Friday evening when he was locked away in his office, working on some documents. The house was quiet as it had been since the couple stopped talking but Taehyung's ears perked up when he picked the sound of distress coming from the bedroom.

No matter what happened, Taehyung would never ignore his mate if she was in pain or any form of trouble. He pushed the documents aside and took long strides out of the home office to their bedroom.

There she was, rolling on the floor with her hands clutched to her belly. Streams of tears rushed down her cheeks and she screamed continuously with her eyes shut tightly.

Taehyung's heart broke at the sight. He rushed and squat down to lift her off the cold floor. Without a second thought, he managed to grab his car keys and rushed Maya to the hospital.
