"Make a wish bubba". Taehyung bent to match his daughter's height as she stared at her cake with big eyes.

"I wish Mama will buy more pups for me and daddy will take us to his house in the big city". The four year old girl said out loud with her hands joined and eyes shut like she was saying a prayer.

Jimin burst into laughter at how serious the child looked when she made her not-so-secret wish. Taehyung and Mrs. Kim also joined in the laughter causing Maya to give them a confused look.

"My love that was supposed to be said silently". Jimin chuckled as he playfully poked the child's cheek.

"But mama I still want you to buy me pups". Maya pleaded.

"Of course bubba, I'll buy you as many pups as I can, hmm?"

"Yeaayy!" The girl exclaimed happily.

Taehyung just stood there listening to the conversation between his daughter and Jimin with a wide smile. He was grateful to have Jimin around because the Omega had set things right between him and his daughter. It took some time before Maya warmed up to Taehyung but Jimin made it possible.

The past few months were more eventful than anyone would have guessed. Maya had become close to Taehyung and already learned to call him 'daddy'.

The Alpha had also moved to Japan where he started working as a property manager. The distance didn't stop him from visiting at the end of every month to make sure Maya didn't forget him. He wouldn't say that his friendship with Jimin was close but it was good enough and they spoke on phone sometimes concerning Maya of course.

As for Jimin, he was still Maya's nanny. His personal life was also working out fine since he met someone he liked even though he wasn't sure about his feelings for his boyfriend, he decided to give his heart some time to accept the man. Being a twenty-six years old Omega, Jimin thought it was wise to start a family with anyone interested in him instead of wasting his youthfulness waiting for 'the perfect mate'.

The birthday party ended early since it was just Maya, Taehyung, Jimin, Mrs. Kim, and a big pink princess cake. Even the celebrant had slept off before the party officially ended. Jimin helped clean up before picking up his purse to leave for the night. He was going to sleep over at his boyfriend's place but nobody needed to know that.

"Mum, Mr. Kim, I have to be on my way now but I'll be back before Maya wakes up in the morning". Jimin hurriedly informed them as he peeked at his Wristwatch.

"Be careful out there and come back if you're not comfortable wherever you are going to". Mrs. Kim said as she excused herself to retire to her room.

"Yes mum, good night!" The Omega waved at Mrs. Kim.

Taehyung was still standing there as if he was going out with the Omega. Jimin noticed he probably had something to say so he raised his eyebrows to silently ask why the Alpha was standing in his way. After seconds of silence, Jimin decided to ask.

"Is anything the matter, Mr. Kim?"

"I was thinking if you'd want me to walk you down the street or drive you to where you're going to". Taehyung scratched his nape nervously.

"Oh, someone is coming to pick me up but you can keep me company while I wait for him outside".

They didn't even stand for five minutes before a black Mercedes Benz pulled up. The driver rolled down his window and honked at them.

"Thanks for standing with me Mr. Kim. I'll see you tomorrow, Goodnight". Jimin said while waving at the driver who was grinning at him.

"It's nothing. Hurry, your date is waiting". Taehyung gave him a small smile.

Before Jimin could reach the car, his boyfriend already stepped out and was walking toward them.

"Hi love". Jimin jumped into the Alpha's embrace as he hugged him back and squished the omega's small figure into his buff chest.

Just that simple act irritated Taehyung. First of all, it reminded him that he was a single Pringle. Secondly, he felt territorial because another alpha had walked into his territory, and worst of all, he was hugging an Omega in his presence.

If they were in their wolf forms, that act could cause a fight because it was like a challenge for an Alpha to step into another Alpha's territory to claim anything, whether it was food, a mate, or a pup.

Jimin's boyfriend was taller and buffer than Taehyung and it was evident on his face that he didn't welcome the other. He concluded in his mind that he didn't like Jimin's boyfriend for no reason.

"Love, this is Mr. Kim. He's Maya's father. Mr. Kim, this is Namjoon. My..."

"Fiancé". Namjoon cut the omega's word and offered his hand to Taehyung.

"Nice to meet you Namjoon". Taehyung said with gritted teeth.

Jimin glanced between the two Alphas and understood that they were squaring each other up. The Omega hastily separated their handshake and grabbed Namjoon's hand to walk away.

"Be careful Jimin and...call me if there's any problem". Taehyung said to the Omega while his eyes were fixed on Namjoon.

"Y-yes Mr. Kim. goo-goodnight". Jimin stammered as he got into the car and shut the door.

Namjoon looked at Taehyung one more time with a warning look before getting into his car.

"What was that about?" Jimin asked immediately after his boyfriend turned on the engine.

"He was behaving weird. I think he felt intimidated". Namjoon scoffed.

"And the part where you said you are my fiance?"

"What difference does it make". Namjoon slowed down to properly look at the Omega's expression.

Jimin kept quiet and looked out the window instead of continuing the conversation that could lead to an argument.

" This better not be what I think it is". Namjoon gave the Omega one last look before he focused back on the road.
