"Hey Jimin, everything is good. I think you needed that time out to shake off. I need to leave now, I still have to go back to Japan or I'll lose my job". Taehyung spoke calmly to the Omega with a pitiful smile on his face.

"Thanks for...umm... being a friend to me". Jimin said shyly.

"I enjoyed myself though. We should do that again sometime". Taehyung winked at him.

"Yeah, we should". Jimin smiled sheepishly.

"And you can call me Taehyung. We are friends after all".

"Ok, Tae...Tae... Hyung". Jimin hid his face in his palms to hide the blush on his cheeks.

Taehyung smiled at the Omega's embarrassing state before making his way out of the house to get himself on a flight to Japan. Jimin decided to stay back at his apartment until he was in the right frame of mind to return to Taehyung's home. He also had some cleaning to do after his drinking spree with Taehyung.

Jimin walked Taehyung to the car and stood there to watch the Alpha drive off.

"Mr...I mean, Taehyung?" Jimin called back the alpha.

"Yeah?" Taehyung stepped out of the car to listen to what Jimin had to say.

Jimin ran up to the Alpha and pecked his lips. Before Taehyung could process anything, Jimin ran into the house. He didn't know why he did that but it felt good. Taehyung stood there for a while staring at the door in case Jimin would come out again but the omega didn't. Taehyung just smiled and got into his car before driving off.

Since the close friendship between Taehyung and Jimin started, Taehyung had kept to his word by being nothing but a shoulder to lean on even though he was far away in Japan. The dirty thoughts he used to have about Jimin earlier had all gone away and he genuinely wanted to enjoy the pure love he had for his best friend.

But things didn't work like that for Omegas. They were built differently and their ways of analyzing situations were different from Alphas.

Omegas loved attention and care and once they got that from an Alpha, their brain would automatically receive such gestures as love.

The midnight video calls with Taehyung, the endless giggling on phone. The times when Taehyung would keep talking until the Omega fell asleep. The gifts he'd send him almost every weekend. What was all that if not love?

Jimin had tried with every fiber in him to wave off the feelings he was developing for Taehyung but his Omega instincts wouldn't let him. He wouldn't even tell a soul about the wet dreams he had of the Alpha.

Summer came and Maya's kindergarten was on break. Jimin had planned to do a lot of activities at home with the kid but Taehyung thought it would be more fun if Jimin and Maya spent the summer holidays in Japan.

He'd catch up with his daughter and his best friend at the same time. It was a perfect idea. Maya was excited to see her dad but it wasn't the case with Jimin. He was worried that being in the same place with Taehyung would expose his feelings for the alpha.

It was natural for Omegas to act obvious or seductive toward an Alpha they liked and if Jimin's wolf decided to lose self-control in front of Taehyung, he might not be able to handle the embarrassment. Worst of all, Taehyung would be disappointed in him for thinking of him in that way. It would jeopardize their friendship and he didn't want that.

Meanwhile, back in Japan, Taehyung's rut decided to show up when Jimin and Maya were already on their way to Japan. He had popped more suppressants than the doctor prescribed and even though it calmed him down, he knew his system had become resistant to the pills.

Taehyung waited for Maya and Jimin until they arrived at the airport. Maya ran as fast as she could to hug her daddy while Jimin smiled from a distance as he watched the beautiful reunion.

"Won't I get a hug too?" Jimin pouted.

Taehyung didn't want to get as close as hugging the Omega because of his condition at that moment but he couldn't reject Jimin's hug nor was he about to tell the Omega that he was in his rut.

The best friends hugged each other with little Maya squished between them. They looked like a small happy family. Jimin could perceive it immediately, he sensed that Taehyung might be in that time of the year so he quickly withdrew from the hug and looked away from his best friend shyly.

"Umm, come on let me take you guys to my little home". Taehyung spoke energetically to lessen the thick air between him and the omega.

"Yeah, yeah of course". Jimin tuck strands of hair behind his ear and grabbed their luggage.

"Why don't you hold Maya. I'll carry the luggage". Taehyung offered.

"Oh ok". Jimin stuttered as he carried Maya and walked fast toward the exit to get some air.

The Omega got outside and took a deep breath. The air inside was difficult for him to breathe in. It was just his first day in Japan around Taehyung and he was already messing up.

"Fuck, that was a lot". Taehyung mumbled to himself as he looked down to check if he had a boner. Luckily there was none.

It would be a hard and long week in Japan.
