"What was the meaning of that Jimin? Why would you scare that little pup, do you know what impact that will leave on him?" Jk scolded the angry omega.

"What about me? I'm hurt, I'm heartbroken..."

"Oh shut up! That's not enough excuse to scare a pup like that. Get your shit together Jimin".

"Life is so unfair to me. Everyone hates me, people lie to me and play with my feelings and it hurts so much". Jimin broke down in tears.

Jk sighed and walked up to the Omega standing by the window. He held Jimin's shoulder and turned him around.

"Taehyung didn't leave you". Jk spoke softly.

"So you're going to defend him now?" Jimin looked at the alpha in disappointment.

"I think he was kidnapped. There are families reporting missing wolves recently and moreover, there are no wolves in the forest as I speak. I think Taehyung didn't disappear on his own".

"Who told you that?"

"Jimin I suggest we report Taehyung's disappearance too. Maybe it would make the search more serious".

"Taehyung was kidnapped? Oh my God".

"Just calm down for now, if we follow up with the news and rescue team then we will find him soon".

"What if they hurt him? What if he's... he's dead?"

"No, nothing like that will happen".

"Jk they'll hurt him, they'll hurt Alpha".

"No one is hurting him. Let's report it first okay?"

"Let's go now".

"Shouldn't you have a bath first?"

"Oh".

For the past two weeks, Taehyung had no idea what was happening around him. Being an Alpha, the kidnappers seemed to be more interested in using him for their experiments several times. He was the only Alpha in the Laboratory so it could be concluded that they were in need of an Alpha.

Several injections and medicines have been forced into his system, sometimes numbing him and making his brain fuzzy for a couple of days. If such things continued at that rate, at some point the Alpha may stop reacting physically due to how numb his body became. He'd simply become a living robot. Somehow he still had memories of his family but it was getting difficult to remember little things like phone numbers or home address or his age.

Taehyung was not put in a tube like others because the alpha wolf would definitely break it and run off. Instead, he was chained hands and feet with heavy locks keeping him in place like a wild animal.

A day passed after Taehyung's 14th day in the Laboratory, they had just finished working on his body for the night and locked his chain. The Alpha was weak but he could still hear faint noises around the building. The first noise sounded like a gunshot but he didn't hear it again for the next 30 minutes. He was dozing off when the second gunshot came and then there was chaos everywhere.

The police invaded the laboratory and they clashed with the kidnappers, exchanging rounds of bullets.

"No matter what, no one must take the Alpha!" Taehyung heard the evil doctor yell at his guards.

Two men immediately stood beside Taehyung to make sure the police didn't set him free. The Alpha was helpless and couldn't do much to signal the police where he was. Most of the wolves were still alive when they were freed from the tubes while few already died. And fortunately, most of the evil scientists were taken away.

Taehyung noticed when the rescue team searched everywhere to check if there were other people trapped somewhere and he tried to get their attention but the guards injected him and he dozed off within seconds.

It took a whole 24 hours for Taehyung to wake up but it was too late because the remaining guards and doctors already moved to another place. It was smaller than the previous lab but it was still a lab.

Since the police returned, all families either went to the hospital to reunite with their loved ones or went to the morgue to identify the body of a loved one.

Jimin and Jk rushed to the hospital to find Taehyung but he wasn't there so they were told to check the morgue.

"What does he mean by checking the morgue?" Jimin asked JK while pointing at the doctor who told him to check if Taehyung was in the morgue.

"Jimin just calm down, he doesn't mean it that way". Jk held the Omega tightly to stop him from starting a fight.

"No! This stupid incompetent doctor is trying to say that my Alpha is dead. This brainless fucker". Jimin yelled as he wriggled away from Jk and landed a slap on the doctor.

"Oh my goodness, stop it now Omega!" Jk used his alpha voice and Jimin immediately fell to the floor.

The doctor fixed his coat and shook his head before walking out on them. Jk offered him and apologetic look but the doctor didn't take it to heart.

Jimin was sobbing helplessly on the floor, scared that he lost Taehyung forever. Jk tried getting the Omega up but Jimin didn't want to hear anything so Jk picked him up on his shoulder and went ahead to check the morgue.

Surprisingly, Taehyung was not there either. Jimin had calmed down by the time they left and headed straight to the police station. Once again, Jimin started another fight because he'd go crazy if no one had a tangible explanation about where his Alpha was.

"How could you rescue others and leave him there? How could you leave my husband alone to suffer?" The Omega cried and rolled on the floor.

"We're setting up a team to go get him now. We are so sorry for this horrible mistake". The police officer apologised.

"All of you are incompetent and if you don't find my husband, I'll burn down this useless building!" Jimin threatened.

Jk didn't even know what to do with Jimin anymore. He'd been holding the Omega and stopping him from going crazy but at that point, the Alpha was tired, so he just stood and watched Jimin run his mouth.

"We'll make sure to find him in the next 48 hours". The officer promised as he was about to leave with his team.

"I'm going with the team". Jimin blurted out bravely.

"And you think I'd let you do such a stupid thing?" Jk asked sternly.

"You think going to find my mate is stupid?" Jimin glared at JK.

"I'm sorry Omega but you can't go with us. It's too dangerous". The officer chirped in.

"Why? Because I'm an Omega? Well, I don't care. I want to go with the team. I want to get my mate because you all might still go and return without him. Why?" Jimin asked.

There was silence as the officer and Jk shared a glance in confusion.

"Because you're all incompetent. You can't do your work right!" Jimin answered his own question and pushed JK aside.

"Jimin get back here now!" Jk shouted as he watched the Omega climb the rescue van.

"I'm going to find my mate. You'll never understand that because you have no mate after all". Jimin barked.

The officer gave Jk a look and tapped his shoulder before climbing on the van. Jk just stood there staring at Jimin until the van moved. To say the Alpha was heartbroken would have been an understatement. He tried so hard to blink back the tears in his eyes but they betrayed him and rushed down his cheeks.

"Of course I'll never understand because I chose to love you when I know you'll never love me back. You dumb ass Omega". Jk mumbled to himself.

The rescue team searched the old lab but it was empty and as bad as they left it after the attack. There was no need to waste time so they decided to spread across the forest to find the new hideout.

Jimin was shaking like a wet chicken even with a gun in his hand. The team gave him a gun to at least protect himself since he remained stubborn to join in the search.

"I found something, everyone take cover!" An officer alerted the team.

They immediately spread out to find hiding spots but the inexperienced Omega was confused as he stood still looking from left to right. It was as if he froze on the spot and the worst part was that he was standing right in front of the new lab. Suddenly, someone pulled him down to the ground and dragged him to hide behind a tree.

Jimin's eyes widened when he realized that it was actually a wolf that pulled him down. From the scent and eyes color, Jimin already knew it was Jk's wolf. He tried to free himself from the wolf but the Alpha wouldn't move. Jimin remained pinned to the ground while the rescue team started their attack on the kidnappers.

"Let him go and we'd spare your lives!" The team leader bargained.

One of the kidnappers had stepped out with Taehyung at gunpoint. He threatened to shoot the Alpha if the rescue team continued to attack.

Jimin peeked from behind the tree and even though his Omega instincts were already nudging him to run to Taehyung, Jk kept him in place to make sure he didn't do anything stupid.

"Fine, I'll hand him over at the count of three but if you try any silly movement, I'll shoot". The kidnapper said.

"Just hand him over". The officer agreed.

"One...two...".

The kidnapper unlocked Taehyung's chains and pushed him forward. The Alpha didn't understand what was going on but he saw the rescue team waiting and he kept walking towards them.

"Three...fuck the police!" The kidnapper smirked and pulled his trigger.

Jimin saw the gun targeted at Taehyung and with all his strength, he pushed JK away and ran out of the hiding spot towards Taehyung.

"Alpha!" Jimin screamed and pulled Taehyung down, using his body to shield the Alpha.

Everything happened so fast yet it looked like the world was put on slow motion. Jimin was ready to take the bullet for his Alpha but when he shut his eyes, expecting the pains to take over, nothing happened. He heard the gunshot but he didn't feel the pain.

Jk took the bullet instead.
