We were in the bathroom and I was trying to calm Nick down, Nick was over at mine in little space nobody else from my family was home so we were just enjoying some baby time. Nicks been so stressed with the nationals coming up he wanted to be good for his team but he was putting a lot of pressure on himself, so he was letting loose and enjoying being taken care of. Then unexpectedly Tao, and Elle came round I have no idea why, but Tao knew where the spare key was and let himself in. "Nick it's fine they won't care I promise" he just cried, his face was red and he was sweating "It's so embarrassing Charlie" I stroked his back "Your not embarrassed in front of me" he looked at me and said "I love you I trust you they are our friends, I can trust you with anything not them"

"Charwe I'm twierd" I rocked nick back and forth as he was on my lap laying in my arms he had a pacifier in his mouth and was holding his favourite stuffed animal it was a teddy and had blue fur. Then Tao and Elle walked into my house without knocking they just let themselves in I mean I told Tao were the key was but that's as for emergency's not just whenever. When they saw us they froze then walked into the kitchen quickly knowing they've walked in on something they weren't supposed to see. Nick ran upstairs to my bathroom and shut the door

"i'll go out there and talk to them" Nick didn't say anything his knees were drawn up to his chest and he had his hands coving his face. "There going to laugh at me" his crying increased. "No they won't I won't let anyone say anything to you" he then says "What happens if they laugh behind my back and we don't know" "Trust me Nick they wouldn't do that I'll go talk to them" I walked down stairs and saw them just silently sitting in the kitchen looking shocked Tao Said "what's going on was he just using a pacifier" I didn't know how to explain it how do explain age regression it was a hard subject. Elle said "wait I didn't know he did age regression" I looked at her and said "Well it's not something Nick tells people only I know and his mom so you guys need to keep your mouth shut Tao i'm looking at you" Tao looked at me confused "So i'm confused he is a baby?" I was getting annoyed "No obviously not does he look like a baby to you" Tao laughs slightly "Yeah a second ago he did" I get closer to him "This isn't funny he's literally so embarrassed because you guys decided to just walk in" Elle said "I'm so sorry" Tao just rolled his eyes "Well he should be embarrassed he's acting like a baby for fun" Elle slapped his arm and I needed to explain "No it's called age regression it's a coping mechanism like cutting is but very safe and healthy, he literally can't help it when he's regressed it's like he actually is a two year old can't talk or do normal things and needs things baby's do, so he's not pretending for fun it's just a coping mechanism and he can't help when he is in little space and if you ever say one mean thing or comment about it I can't be friends with you anymore" Tao looked shocked but more understanding "Sorry I didn't know that was an actual thing so when he's in little space he can't help it" "No he can't" tao looks at me with a confused look "But if he was not able to control his actions wouldn't he need diapers" I felt nervous I don't want to tell them that most of the time he does where diapers he wasn't today because he was in the mindset of a 4 year old and didn't need it. Tao won't take this seriously if I don't tell him but that's Nicks biggest secret I can't tell them that. "I'm not answering anymore questions it's none of anyone else's business" Tao said "he actually does" I shook my head "No just stop" He went running upstairs towards the bathroom and said to me "I'm going to ask him" I pulled him by his shirt back down "he's so embarrassed already don't ask him questions like that" Tao said "Fine tell me then i'll drop it" "FINE you better not say a word yes he does ok is that what you needed to hear so badly" Tao then said "Don't you find that weird" "No I don't" he puts his hands up in defence. Nick then comes down the stairs and hugs my leg like a toddler would "Nick go upstairs big kids are talking" Tao looks down at him in amazement. Elle came over to him and took his hand "I'll take him upstairs and watch him" "Thank you" Before she took Nick I kissed his lips and told him "Ok you behave now alright" "I will dada I pwomise" They left and tao was just staring at me "He really can't help it can he" I felt relieved he finally was understanding "No he can't I really do need to go check on him though I don't want him to cause trouble for elle. I walked upstairs amd tao followed, When we saw them in the bedroom I melted, Nick was sleeping in elles arms with his finger in his mouth, I thanked elle then picked him up and placed him in the bed replacing his thumb with his pacifier, we all went down stairs and talked tell they had to go and my baby was being the best boy.
