《Pranking the Prankster ✔︎》32- Sick day

It's been exactly a month since since I was introduced to Harlow's parents as her boyfriend.
I remember her mom giving me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. She was so happy and she kept peppering Harlow's face with kisses.
Her dad was who I was worried about.
After he gave me a speech about killing me if I break his daughters heart, he surprisingly said he was happy we were together.
The events of when I'm with Har plays in my mind nonstop.
I lay in bed trying my best to go to sleep.
The ceiling was what I'm staring at but not what I'm seeing. All I can see is images of Harlow.
I always have had a hard time sleeping.
It's just me.....
But when Harlow is snuggling into me, I sleep perfectly fine.
The warmth of her body. The way her heavenly roses and vanilla scent wafts through the air when she's around.
The little things is what makes me want to be by her side forever.
I fall asleep with my mind occupied by her chocolate brown eyes.
>>>>>>>>>>
"Acey-Wacey!" A little girl's voice shouts as I feel something hop on my stomach.
"Lola, how many times do I tell you not to wake me up!?" I fuss at my annoyingly cute little sis.
"You should be glad I wake you up, Acey!" He small hands touch my forehead and kisses my cheek.
"I love you brother."
"What do you want, Lola?" I sigh but give her a little peck on her forehead.
"Can we get cake later? It's pickles' birthday!" She happily bounces up and down.
"You want to celebrate a dog's birthday?" I give her a dry look, but my face softens when she juts out her bottom lip.

"Fine. Will get the damn dog a little cupcake...." I rub my temples as Lola screams with excitement.
I already have a damn headache....
I get off my bed and take a nice shower. Whoever said guys didn't take long showers is a liar.
I pull on a black shirt as always and grey joggers.
I spend five minutes on styling my hair then I walk downstairs.
"Hey, Ace." My mom gives me a side hug as she pours milk into a cup for Lola.
My dad nods in my acknowledgment before handing me a box in Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
I check my phone and see a text for Cal but not from Harlow.
She usually texted me every morning.
Ignoring Cal's meme he sent me, I go to Har's contact list.
I slide my phone in my pocket before leaving the house. Of course Brody was already waiting.
He walked to his house to mine almost every single morning.
Just for a ride.
"Hey, man." He mumbles before getting in the passenger's side.
"You good?"I raise an eyebrow at his silken mood. Usually he's rapping Nicki Minaj songs by now.
"Yeah, Kaia and I just aren't seeing eye to eye right now." He shakes his head with an angered look.
"How are you and Harlow?"
"Good......" I trail off not wanting to rub in the pain of his strained relationship.
"Kaia is wanting to go to a college all the way in New York!" He suddenly slams down his fist on my dashboard.
"Dude, watch it!" I rub my Maserati's leather seats.
"Don't hurt, Rebekah." I mumble my car's name.
He grunts but continues to talk. "She wants me to come with her but I'm not wanting to go the fucking big apple. I want to stay in California so we're close to friends and family."

I nod but suddenly start feeling worried. I didn't feel troubled often.
Where does Harlow want to go to college?
Does she even want to go?
Will we going to different colleges in different states?
Long fucking distance!?
"Dude, did you hear me?" Brody's mocking voice startles me out of my wandering thoughts.
"Wow that's fucking crazy....." I reply, not really knowing what he said.
"I know. Believe me, but maybe it's for the best."
Wait what!?
"What is, bro?"
He turns he head and searches my face. Brody's face immediately annoyed.
"You weren't listening, were you?"
"Nope." I retort popping the 'p.'
>>>>>>>>>>>>
It's been hours since I've seen Harlow. I haven't seen her in any of my stupid classes or walking down the hallways.
Kaia walks alone in the hallway with a little frown.
"Kai, have you seen, Harlow?" I question, worry washing over my body like a tidal wave.
"No. She hasn't texted me. I was going to skip last period to see if she's at her house, but I have a really important test to take."
I nod, ruffling up Kaia flat ironed black hair, and I run when Kaia starts cussing me out.
I push open the double doors at the school's entrance. I walk out without having any problems.
My hand reaches for my phone and dials Har's number, but just like the morning she didn't answer.
I have to walk to her house so Brody can get home. I gave him my car keys earlier today.
After ten minutes of walking, I end up at her front door.
I knock, waiting for an answer.
Great.
Just as I'm about to walk away a sickly and pale looking Harlow opens the door.
When she sees me she immediately perks up.
"Baby?" I grab her hand and shut the door to her house.
"I'm sick...." Her voice cracks as she breaks out into a cough.
Thank god she's okay.
Well....Mostly...........
I pick her up bridal style and carry her upstairs. I lay her on her bed and kiss her cheek.
"I'm going to make you some soup, Princess."
"I'm going to make you some soup, Princess." Ace says with a warm smile before walking downstairs.
I felt horrible. I swear the plague hit me or something. Or maybe the Coronavirus.
Oh god I hope not.
My symptoms were the usual. Coughing, sneezing, achey, freezing, headache, I'm a whole ass mess!
Trust me I know.
Ace walks in carrying a bowl of soup and a chocolate chip cookie.
That my man, y'all.
And he's taken.
Ace hands the food to me with a smile. He's about to walk out but I whine like a child.
He raises his eyebrow and I pay the spot next to me on the bed.
My body immediately cuddles into his warm one. I inhale his minty scent with a smile.
I already feel a little better.
He plays with my hair while I eat.
Once I'm done I set the bowl aside, reach up to touch his toasty warm cheeks.
Before I can think three little words slip out my mouth.
Did you guess it?
No?
Let me say it for you.......
"Ace....." I trail off, trailing my fingers on his sculpted jaw.
"I love you."
