《~A Night To Remember~ (Raven x Beast Boy Fanfic)》• {Chapter 14} •

As the figure's feet were right in front of her, Raven blacked out. She didn't even get a clear look at their face. She was too drained from trying escape.
She did get a peek at her surroundings though. She seemed to be in some underwater cave that had somehow been cleared of all water. There was also air planted inside.
It seemed that the cave was prepared for someome like her's arrival? It was quite puzzling to say the least.
Then Raven awoke on a sandy floor with her hands and arms tied in a brown rope. She was still in the cave and her throat and eyes still burned a little.
*Where am I?* she questioned as she sat up, *Wait... do my friends know where I am!? Who knows how long I've been down here!*
Raven's thinking was soon cut short as a voice echoed throughout the small cave. It was unsettling but she still decided to keep listening.
"Oh you're finally awake!" the voice said, "How was your little nap?"
Deeming it suspicious, Raven opened a portal to jump through to get to the surface incase they were a real threat. But then the voice spoke to her again.
"Hey wait don't leave yet! Please... It's lonely down here..." the voice said sadly.
Knowing what it was like to be alone, Raven listened for a second. She almost felt sorry for them. Then a body connected to the voice soon walked out of the shadows of the cave.
Raven had heard of real live mermaids before but he didn't really look like one... She wondered how he could pull her down so deep underwater let alone breathe under it.
With the portal still open, she contemplated if she would go through it. But something just kept her from leaving right away.

"I finally get to see you again after all these years... Raven" the man said as he walked closer.
Raven was startled that he knew her name. It almost made her jump through the portal but his words from before stopped her.
"Wait who are you and why am I here?" Raven asked seriously.
"Well... I'm Aqualad and I'll answer that other question in a few minutes..."
Aqualad? Raven had never heard of any superhero with that name. There was Aquaman, but there wasn't any information of him having any children.
"Aqualad?" Raven repeated, confused, "Well Aqualad, can you answer my question before I leave you down here to be "lonely" again?"
"Hm... fair! Well, you're here because I brought you here!" Aqualad exclaimed as smile grew on his face.
Raven gave him an irritated look which made him explain himself further. He said that he had seen her at the same beach 2 years ago. Although she refused to go in the water, he still admired her beauty from afar.
"It was like love at first sight!" Aqualad said passionately, "And when I realized that you were one of the Titans, it only made my want to see you again grow larger and larger each day!"
"Your mysterious appearance and personality drew me towards you for some reason. It was almost too much to bare... Too much until you came back! Now we can be together!"
*Be together? With me? There was no way that I'm letting fish boy take me as his own* She in fact, almost chuckled as he said that. He couldn't be serious...
"I'm sorry but I can't return your feelings Aqualad... I just wouldn't be able to commit to it." Raven told him.
She then hopped through the portal and closed it behind her. She ended up on the beach with some of the others looking for her in the water and some waiting to see if she turned up on the sand.

Starfire then noticed her and a look of worry but relief appeared on her face. Right then and there she shouted:
"Friends! Friend Raven has returned! She's ok! She's ok!"
Everyone almost immediately looked up and stopped what they were doing. It wasn't that strange to see though. They always had to be entirely vigilant on any other day.
It was basically sunset when Raven got there. She could barely move from the position she was in and all she wanted was to sleep as the other Titans and Bumble Bee rushed to her aid with relieved faces.
*How long have I been gone? Was everyone that worried about me?*

I Want You to Remember Me
A simple romantic tale of a... girl meeting a... boy. Trust and love both take time to grow, but growing together is also a lot of fun. A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. Think of this as more of a romantic slice-of-life story than an action or traditional romance story. Finally, thank you for reading. :)

Osman demanded from the man.The prisoner was shaking and pleading for his life but did not say anything as he got aware of the terrible blunder he had made."Answer me or I will end your miserable life right here right now" waves of anger was visible in Osman's eyes. He raised his sword intending to cut the man's throat."Stop" Arta shouted.Osman slightly turned his head to Arta's direction while his sword was still high above his head ready to strike. Arta's heart was beating so fast, she was frightened but at the same time, she couldn't see this monster kill one of her people and do nothing. "I am Shahzadeh Arta. The only daughter of King Darian." Arta confessed. Her voice was louder than normal and a bit shaky.Osman chuckled coldly. A devilish smile appeared on his face.In the blink of an eye, he cut the man's throat. Everyone was silent only a faint hysteric cry of a woman from the cage could be heard. Arta's body was numb. She was just gazing at the man's lifeless body with teary eyes.Osman turned back and after cleaning the blood on his sword with the prisoner's clothes he lowered his head and whispered into Arta's ear, "you are just a slave now".
