《Captured By The King》Seventeen • Sorceress

A throbbing pain exploded through my whole body. It was as if my veins just popped, my muscles went limp and my blood turned to ice. I couldn't move, hear, open my eyes, or anything. What just happened to me?
I distinctly remembered what had happened yesterday after I was left to talk to Rosaleen. All that I could recall was a shadow lurking from the trees and sharp sting on my neck, someone plunged a syringe in me, what was in it? I don't know for sure.
Trying to sleep was of no use, my eyes may be closed but my head feels consciousness. Am I paralyzed? How long have I been out, I wonder to myself.
Moments later, I felt another needle inserted in me and my eyes jolted open. All my senses came back, although I could only see a visible amount of light, I can feel the cold breeze along with the dreadful smell in the air.
Slowly, my eyes adjusted and that's when I realize three people standing before me. Who were they and why have they brought me here?
Before I spoke a word, I looked over to what I was wearing and to my satisfaction, I was still wearing the same clothes I had before, although it looked muddy, it was fine.
"Before you start with the 'who are you' 'why am I here' 'what do you want from me' questions, let me do the honor," one of them said.
She was a woman with brown curly hair that looked like in her late thirties. "We're not bad people if anything, we're here to protect you, train you, and make you strong. Just like the vampires, we stand by the prophecy," she said.
They took me away from one place that made me feel almost safe and now, I'm on another location. What did she mean by 'just like the vampires?' Aren't they?
"Train me for what?" I questioned which she answered, "For your fight."
My eyebrows furrowed to their own accord, confusion, and ignorance came upon me when she spoke about the prophecy. Not that I didn't care but I highly don't believe it even after everything I've learned about it.
"They'll come looking for me," I warned them but the other two women laughed, "They will but they can't. We can play nice but for your own knowledge, just know that we aren't."

Of course, they're not. Who would abduct anyone and proclaim anything about kindness? I may not be a lot of things but surely one of them is not being naive.
"What are you?" I asked them and then, the woman who first spoke to me did something that made my eyes gleam.
With the flick of her finger, fire appeared. It was a little flame that danced around the palm of her hand then, it was replaced by water. Tiny droplets of water floated around the atmosphere which was changed by a little tornado in her hands.
Everything that she did was amazing but the question still lingered. Could it be possibly true? I have heard of it before but never seen one in my life, I lived knowing that it was all a myth.
"Sorceress," I said and the three of them nodded. "I'm Genevieve, elements are my witchcraft," she said and held her hand out which I took.
The other woman also introduced herself, "Amara, I practice nature." Instead of also shaking my hand, a white rose suddenly appeared from her palm and she gave it to me.
Lastly, the one who spoke not so nicely earlier said, "I'm Odette, my magic is potions, just like the one I gave you which made you fall consciously asleep." I frowned when I learned the little potion that she gave me, it was like paralysis. She returned my frown with an evil smirk.
"How can you train me and make me stronger if I couldn't practice magic?" They can protect me but I don't see how they'll be able to help me win the said fight.
"Who said magic would be your weapon? We're not just sorceresses, Felicity. We are warriors," Genevieve proudly said. Odette took out a small jar, the size of a quarter and opened its lid.
She dabbed her pinky finger and tapped it on my lips before I could even back away. Then, she did the same for Genevieve and Amara. I blinked my eyes and when I opened it, I'm in an entirely different place.
I gasped when I saw my surroundings. Beautiful trees, plants, and flowers were scattered among the field along with a lake that flowed peacefully.

Not only did the place surprise me but it was filled with children, men, and women, training and fighting with swords, knives, and their bare hands.
"Transportation spell, welcome to our training field," Odette said and proceeded to go to where most of the people or should I say, sorcerers and sorceresses were fighting.
Just when I thought to believe what Odette said that she wasn't nice, I didn't. There she was, helping little children train and fight like a future warrior. I saw compassion and love straight through her actions.
"Here, we learn how to protect our kind and serve the prophecy," Amara said. With her own hands, she touched the grass which bloomed with dandelions, her magic is truly stunning.
"You expect me to fight like them?" I asked, pointing to the training scene before me. "No, Felicity, we expect you to be better than each one of us," Genevieve answered.
I may have trained before, whenever my father has forced me but I wasn't anything close to how they fought. They weren't just warriors, they were also combatants.
Then, I quickly wondered, were my parents still in there, held captive? "I'll fight and train in one condition," I told them which also made everyone stopped and turn their attention to me.
I answered everyone's questioning look and said, "free my family." Odette walked to us, smiling. Was there something funny in wanting your family again? Sure that's not what they think of me but they were also the same people who raised me and put a roof over my head and for that, I'll forever be grateful.
"No need for that, Queen Felicity," a joyous familiar voice echoed through the field. I looked to where it came from and my eyes suddenly wanted to pour tears.
"Mom!" I happily exclaimed and ran to her, enveloping her in a tight embrace. Then, I felt two pairs of arms holding our hug and tears started flowing when I saw Jonathan and my father again.
After what seemed like an eternity, we all pulled out. "You remember me?" I asked but we were all in a crying mess.
"Memory potion," Odette said and gave me a wink. I mouthed her a 'thank you' which she returned by a curtsy. Now, I know that earlier, she wasn't anything serious. She's genuinely kind.
"Felicity, I'm so so sorry," my mother sobbed. Family will always remain family. No matter what they've done, we can always start again. There's no point of hating them if I haven't heard their side of the story and who am I not to give them a chance?
I hugged her again telling her, "We're together now, that's what matters."
Then, I faced Genevieve which showed awe in her expression. My family's completely healed which was resulted by another of Odette's kind-hearted deed, a healing potion.
Seeing that everything they've given me was fair enough, I spoke, in front of the whole field, "I, Queen Felicity Lowell, will fight and train as a warrior and protect everyone through the prophecy."
All sorcerers and sorceresses didn't cheer nor did they applaud. Instead, they curtsied and bowed, showing their respect. That's when I realized, I am no longer just a queen of humans but the supernatural beings.
"When do you want to start training?" Amara asked and I smiled at her saying,
"A true queen chooses no time to fight, she shall be ready at any instance."
