《My Mate the Wanderer》13. Inhuman Speed

My breath caught in my throat as I looked up into his eyes.
They were fully black, but I could see something stirring behind them.
I knew that I should be afraid but I couldn't help but be drawn towards the deepness within them.
My gaze slowly drifted down to his lips, they looked so soft and kissable.
My gaze drifted down even further until they met the point at which is neck and his shoulder met.
A purr drifted out from my chest.
I'm not even sure why the though of his neck made me so excited.
"We can save that for later my little mate" Tyler said horsely as he quickly stepped back.
I cleared my throat as I collected myself.
"I'm not even sure what happened there." I said dryly as I averted my eyes.
"It's the pull," he said as he walked towards the kitchen of the cabin. "It's going to push us to mark each other."
I furrowed my brow as I tried to figure out what he meant by marking each other.
"I'm not even going to pretend to know what your talking about." I said sardonically.
"That can be for another time Aubree. First things first, we run. Your body is going to be rapidly changing from here until the full moon which is in four days so I think it would be nice for you to experience it." He said as a small grin tugged at the corner of his mouth.
I could feel my beast stir at the idea of a run, she seemed excited to show her mate that we could become strong.
"A run it is then." I said unenthusiastically. "Who packed my bag for me?"
"Your mother, I made sure to tell her to pack you lots of work out clothes. Your definitely going to need them." He chuckled slyly while tossing my duffle bag to me.

I grumbled as I caught my bag. "Where is your bathroom so I can get changed?"
"First door on your right, the room next to it is the room that you can sleep in while your here so put your bag in there and meet me outside when your done."
I turned towards the bathroom and closed the door behind me.
Once the door was closed I let out a small sigh, 'I hate running' I thought to myself.
I dug through my bag until I found a tank top and some spandex shorts and careful slipped then on trying my hardest to avoid the tender spot on my shoulder.
As I left the bathroom I tossed my bag in the room beside it and headed out the door.
I walked out of the cabin and saw Tyler leaning against the railing of the porch wearing only basket ball shorts.
My gaze drifted down his torso to his well defined abs.
Just looking at him made me want to run my fingers over every crease of his muscles.
I felt my beast stir at the sight of her male looking absolutely delectable.
I could feel her pushing me forward but I reigned her in before she could do any real damage to my modesty.
"That was really good!" Tyler said while he grinned ear to ear. "It's not easy to reign a beast in like that. You may actually have a natural aptitude for this."
I felt a blush sweep across my face from the compliment I just received.
Tyler quickly turned on his heel and jogged towards the forest and I followed suit.
I was never really out of shape and I've always been pretty good at physical activity but right now put all of that to shame.
I could feel my body moving forward with grace that I didn't even know I had.

Tyler glance back at me and playfully smirked as he picked up his pace.
Both me and my wolf agreed that there was no way in hell that we were going to let our male have the best of us so easily.
It was a strange feeling but I felt competitive, it almost felt like it was a normal part of me that had never been unleashed.
I quickly followed his steps as we caught up to him.
I could feel the grin on my face as I relished in the feeling of the wind snapping my hair around and the heat coursing through my lungs and limbs.
As soon as I was finally tailing Tyler he again picked up the pace.
At this point I realized we were moving with inhuman speed.
The realization barely bothered me, I could begin to feel that this is something that I was always supposed to be able to do.
I saw Tyler being to slow do and I did the same.
I was out of breath and my legs burned but it didn't really mind it.
"Your faster then I though you would be." Tyler said with an amazed look in his eyes.
"I'm faster then I though I would be." I said stoically as I bent over to catch my breath.
"Where are we right now anyways?"
"Hmm, I think we're about 10 miles east of my cabin."
I looked down at my watch and saw that we have only been running for about 25 minutes.
"Holy cow," I said in between gasps for air. "What were we running? Like 50 miles an hour?"
"I think it was closer to 30. That's pretty fast for in your skin. I know of seasoned warriors who can't even run 25 mph. I'm very impressed, but I wouldn't expect the moon goddess to pair me with anything less." He said as he sauntered towards me.
Tyler walked closed as he lifted my chin so that I was looking him in the eyes.
His dark brown beauties swirled with adoration and pride.
"I don't think it would have been possible for the goddess to pair me with anyone more perfect then you."
The brown in his eyes started to swirl more as it was replaced with blackness.
His irises expanded until his full eye was covered in a darkness that was like deep space.
My beast purred at the contact from our mate and pushed me to push my lips towards his.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to push Accalia back but I knew that everything was happening to quickly for my liking.
I cleared my throat and I gently pulled my chin from his hand.
Tyler sweetly smile at me. "I'm willing to wait my little mate, I won't push you into anything your not ready for. I've waited over 400 years for you I believe I'm capable of waiting a little bit longer."
My mouth fell open at his comment. "400 years?!? How old are you?" I couldn't even wrap my head around the idea of being alive for that long.
"Well it's just a rough estimate but I believe I'm somewhere between 450 to 470 years old."
"Oh wow, is that how long all werewolves live?" I was hanging trouble grasping the idea.
"I believe the oldest living wolf is about 430 year old." He said matter of factly
"But your older then that! How is he the oldest if your here?" I said dumfounded.
"That's actually something that I've been meaning to tell you. I'm actually not just a wolf, I'm a hybrid."

Humans Are Evil (completed)
A world of magic, where empires rise and fall, and where civilization is never safe from the perpetual menace of the monsters that roam the land. In this volatile landscape Fera is reborn and must adapt to this new and ever-changing world. She will grasp at whatever opportunities she finds to escape her unfortunate birth as an orphan. Either excelling, or wallowing in self-pity, Fera will question if this world of magic was as fantastical as she initially thought. Note: The story is technically a litRPG, but much less like a game and more akin to real life, for example obtaining a class does not give free skills to the individual, it’s the other way around! Skills are what unlock your class, so an individual who learns magic skills will unlock mage classes, classes then provide passive buffs and stats, in my opinion this makes everything feel more earned so that the power levels in the world are more natural, rather than every single random person being a powerhouse.
