《My Mate the Wanderer》27. White Wolf

I tried to stand up only to find that my muscles didn't work as they normally did.
I stared off in front of me as the pain receded down to a dull ache.
"How are you feeling?" Tyler lightly whispered to me.
I tried to respond but all I got out was a slight whimper noise.
I thought for a second and realized that I had now way of communicating in my new form.
If only I had Accalia here to guide me through this.
I couldn't exactly feel her in the back of my mind like I normally do but I knew she wasn't gone.
I slowly flexed my muscles to get a feeling for my new body and pulled myself onto my stomach.
Looking down at my new paws I noticed that my coat was a smooth and bright looking white.
Tyler quickly cover me up with a blanket.
"Aubree, I know what you lineages is now, and I need you to stay hidden until it gets darker out." He said in a frantic tone as he kneeled down in front of me.
I cocked my head to the side as I looked up at him.
I couldn't help but feel a little frustrated because all that I wanted was to experience my new form.
"Remember that dream you said you had? Well, it's pretty apparent why at this point."
I sat there waiting for Tyler to respond.
What does my dream about that dying man have to do with me?
"What dream?" Nate asked.
"She had a dream about the royal family. I never got all of the details but she saw a man wearing a royal signet." Tyler said as he stood up and passed in front of me.
"What does a dream have to do with our linage?" Nate said with a breath of frustration.

At this moment I was so happy to have Nate here because without him there would have been no one to ask the questions that I also had.
"She's a white wolf. Only the royal family has white wolves." Tyler said "More importantly she is a female. There has never been a female shifter in the royal family."
I looked down at the ground and felt a wave of pride and anxiety over come me.
I was starting to find it difficult to sit and wait here.
I stirred under the blanket readying myself to run from my troubles.
"Please, little one, just wait until the sun is fully down. We can't risk anyone seeing you just yet." He said to me soothingly.
"What does it matter if anyone sees her?" Nate said hostilely.
"A few major reasons, pup, the royal family will want you and her. Their are no heirs left in their bloodline. I figured you would, at the very least, want to have all the information about the cruel ways of the royal family before you were pulled into their clutches."
I could feel Tyler's emotions much more clearly now then I could before.
I could tell he was wracked with them.
A mix of fear and worry, with anger and pride swirling around it.
It was clear as day that Tyler had ill feelings towards the royal family, but I was unsure what had brought them on.
I poked my head out from under the blanket and looked up at Tyler.
He looked so concerned for me and Nate.
The sun was low in the sky, but I trusted my mate.
I decided to stay here until the sun had fully set.
Why could this have not just been easier?
This has been twice now that my view on the world had been shattered.

I let out a long whimper as I lowered my head to the ground.
"You will be fine, I will be sure that no harm comes to you or your family. Just please be patient until we can figure out what to do." Tyler said as he reached his hand under the blanket and stroked my head.
Waves of euphoria and calm ripped through my body at his touch.
I could feel the bond so clearly now.
Even with all of these new problems all I could think about was him.
"Nate stay here with her. The sun is almost down so I'm going to shift into my fur. Just know that we will figure this out in the morning." He said as he walked away.
"This is crazy, Bree, what the heck has our lives turned into." Nate said as he came over and sat in front of me.
I lifted my head and put it on his knee.
I wanted to tell him how much our lives had gotten screwed up, but I think it went without saying.
"We'll figure this out." He said as he stroked my head.
"By the way you look bad ass. I know the pain is still fresh in your mind but I think that it may be worth all of the pain." Nate said with a chuckle.
From within the tress I could hear a quick burst of cracking, and moments later out stepped Tyler.
" Well I guess I'll let you guys do wolf things." Nate said sadly.
I could tell that even after watching everything that I just went through that he still wanted this life.
I gave his hand a quick lick and slowly stood up.
Tyler slowly walked over to me with his tail wagging.
I got the feeling that he was excited to finally get the opportunity to interact in our fur.
I could see excitement bubbling up from him as he lowered his head to the ground with his rear in the air.
I felt myself relax and I let out a light yip.
I slowly walked over to him and felt the need to rub my body down his length to get my scent all of him.
It was a strange feeling to me though.
It really had no logic to it, but I knew that it was what I wanted to do.
I guess this must be from a heightened animal instincts.
Tyler let out a low rumble from his chest and he returned the gesture.
"I guess I'll see you guys tomorrow" Nate said over his shoulder.
I quickly walked up to him and walked by his side as he walked back towards Tyler's house.
"What are you doing?" He said as he stopped and looked at me.
I nudged him with my nose and started to walk back to Tyler's house.
"I'm not a child you don't have to walk me back home." Nate said with a groan.
I let out an annoyed breath.
I knew he could handle himself but I could help but feel a need to make sure he was safe.
I walked side by side with him all the way back to Tyler's house.

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.
