"Do you want a baby brother or sister toot" I said to Amerie while putting lotion on her legs. We had been talking about how she wanted a sibling. "I want a baby brother, i'm going to ask Santa for one" she said excitedly. "Toot I don't think Santa can bring you that" I said laughing. "I have a surprise for you. Put on your socks while I go get it." I said before heading into my closet to get the custom apron I made for her.

"Okay you got to close your eyes" I said while walking out the closet. "Don't scare me" she said. "I'm not" I said laughing. "Don't be peeking" I told her while laying the apron down next to her. "I'm going to count down from three then you open your eyes" I said.

"Okayyyy" she said giggling. "Three, two, one" I said counting down. "Open your eyes toot" I said laughing seeing that she still had her eyes closed. "Can you read it" I asked her laughing seeing how she had a confused look on her face. "I can read it for you" I told her.

"It says big sister" I said as I dragged my finger underneath the words. "Your going to be a big sister toot" I said laughing at the face expression she was making. "YAYYY" she screamed before standing on the bed to jump up and down on the bed. "Girll come on so we can finish getting dressed" I said laughing.

"We got to keep it a secret" I told her as I helped her out her dress on. "Even from daddy" she asked. "Yes, we're going to surprise him. Your going to help me with the surprise." I said. I watch as she nodded her head in a yes motion excitedly.

"Okayy, let's finish getting dressed so we can go see Gigi" I said smiling up at her.

"Yasss tootie you look so pretty" I said hyping her up once she was done getting dressed. "What's wrong toot" I asked her noticing how closed off she had become. "How come the baby has a mommy and I don't" she lowly mumbled while sniffling.

"Aww toot nothings going to change once the baby get here. We still can have our ice cream dates and do fun things. You'll always be my first baby. And you have me as your mommy I will always be here for you no matter what." I said while wiping her tears.

"You promise" she asked while pouting. "I pinky promise" I said while sticking out my pinky finger. She smiled as she interlocked her pinky finger with mines. "I love you" I said before placing a kiss on her forehead. "I love you too" she said smiling ear to ear before pulling me into a tight hug.

"Mommy" Amerie said as I pulled into Shanice's driveway, parking behind Alani's car. You would think my cheeks were going to explode as hard as I was smiling. "Yes baby" I said looking up in the mirror so I could see her. "When is daddy going to be awake" she asked.

"Ummm, soon toot" I said with a forced smile. I got out the car and opened the backseat door so I could unbuckle her. "Your forgetting your purse toot" I said as I seen it laying in the seat beside her car seat.

"Can you get it please" she asked me as she stood beside the door. I grabbed her purse along with the gift bag I had for Shanice. I had brought her the same pair of Dior slides I had, since she was so in love with mines. She had invited us over for a quick breakfast before we all go to the hospital to visit Key.

It had been five days since he's been in the hospital. The only progress he had made was slight hand movement when I was holding his hand yesterday.

"I've been keeping a secret from you" I said letting out a low chuckle. "I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know already" I said as I grabbed ahold of his hand. "I miss you so much" I said as tears started to pour from my eyes. "I know you wouldn't want me to be doing all this crying but I can't help it" I said sniffling.

"Your my happiness, the key to my heart, the apple to my eye" I said as tears continued to fall from my face. "Most definitely the hormones" I lowly mumbled as I wiped my face. "When your awake i'm going to beat yo ass for scaring me" I said frowning. "I love you papa" I said looking up at his face.

"Keep fighting for me, for us" I said as a single tear rolled down my cheek. I jumped as I felt his hand twitch. "Ww-hat" I said confused. I didn't know whether I was daydreaming or was this actually reality. I looked down at his hand immediately seeing it twitch again.

I jumped up and rushed out the door towards the nurse station. "Yy-es please help" I said as I pointed towards the direction of Key's hospital room. "Hh-is hand moo-ved" I said stumbling over my words as we made it back into the room. "I'll get his doctor" she said before rushing off to get the doctor.

I wrapped my arms around myself as I anxiously waited. I was confused on whether this was a good or bad thing. "Everything's okay" the doctor said as he walked in noticing my body language. "I'm going to perform a few nerve tests but any movement is fairly good" he said."

Last night had been the first time i've been home since his accident. Of course I wanted to stay overnight like i've previously been doing but I had promised Amerie that we would have a girls night.

I know how hard it's been for her and I knew us spending time together would not only put her in better spirits but me as well.

"There go my babies" Shanice said as she opened the door as we walked up the porch. "GIGI" Amerie yelled running into Shanice's arms. "I missed youuu sooo muchhh" Shanice said hugging Amerie tighter.

"We got you a gift" Amerie said pointing to the gift bag in my hand as Shanice put her down. "Really, I feel so special" Shanice said placing her hand over heart. "Here you go" I said laughing while handing her the gift bag. "AUNTIE LANI" Amerie yelled seeing Alani approach in the doorway.

"Dang you wasn't even that happy to see me" Shanice said watching as Amerie was talking Alani's head off. "Come here girl" Shanice said waving me over. "Heyy ma" I said laughing as I embraced her.

"Let's go eat I know my grand babies hungry" Shanice said leading me into the house. "Heyyy bestieeee" Alani said walking towards me after I locked the door. "Uhh uhh you ain't even acknowledge me at first" I said rolling my eyes at her. "Girlll my niece had to catch me up on the tea" Alani said.

"Mhmm" I mumbled. "Meee missed you" Alani said while pulling me in a tight hug. "I missed you too. Now come on me and my child hungry" I said pulling away from her. "Girlll don't blame it on my nephew" Alani said while rubbing her hands on my flat stomach.

"Girlll please" I said smacking her hand before walking into the kitchen where Shanice and Amerie was. "Where the food ma" I asked Shanice once I was in the kitchen. "I put yours up in the microwave" Shanice said pointing towards the microwave.

"You opened yo gift yet" I asked her as I walked over towards the microwave. "Not yet" Shanice said as she cut up some fruit. "What's that" I heard Alani ask. "Dragon fruit" Shanice said. "I thought it was purple" I said as I walked over looking at the yellow fruit. "You mean red" Alani said.

"Girll dat shi- I mean stuff purple" I said. "Pregnant you mean ass hell" Alani said with her face scrunched up causing Shanice to pop her mouth. "I wasn't even being mean" I said rolling my eyes. "Y'all two cut it out and it's a yellow and red one. The yellow one is more sweeter than the red." Shanice said.

"Here taste it" Shanice said handing me and Alani a piece. I smelled it before putting it in my mouth. "No momma" Alani said scrunching her face up rushing towards the trash can. "It's good" I said grabbing another piece. "Dats too sweet" Alani said before taking a sip from her water bottle.

"You being dramatic" I said before walking towards the island. "Most definitely the pregnancy in you" Alani said before sitting down next to me. "How's my grandbaby" Shanice asked. "We doing good today I turnt two months" I said before I started eating.

"You been feeling sick or anything" Alani asked. "I've been having sore boobs and certain smells makes me nauseous" I said. "My whole pregnancy I was sick with morning sickness" Shanice said while washing her hands.

"Me and momma already planning the gender reveal" Alani said squealing in her seat. "You so happy for me to have a baby but won't have one" I said before taking a bite of my toast. "Girll you have two now that's good enough for me" Alani said making me laugh.

"Dangg what y'all be feeding this girl" Alani said as she lifted Amerie up to sit her in her lap. "Girlll all I can say is she likes to eat like her momma" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Where my gift tootie" Alani asked Amerie as she watched Shanice walkover to the island to open the gift bag.

"It was mommy fault" Amerie said laughing as Alani tickled her. "How you gone rat me out like dat" I asked her. "Sorry mommy" Amerie said before leaning over to kiss my cheek. "OKAY YALL GOT MONEYYY" Shanice said loudly as she pulled out the Dior shoe box causing me and Alani to bust out laughing.

"Who the hell calling me this damn early" Shanice said as we could hear a ringing phone coming the living room. I let out a low laugh as she walked out the kitchen. "How you been mentally" Alani asked.

"Ummm" I said letting out a sigh. "I could say today has been better than any other day. Ummm, i'm definitely happy about having a baby even though I had certain goals I wanted accomplished." I said while getting up to throw my trash away.

"I'm happy for this new chapter your starting. Buy what goals did you have planned." Alani said. "Me too i'm going to have the family I always pictured. But I wanted to get into modeling. I overall just want to pursue my dreams that I had since a little girl." I said as I sat down next to her.

"I remember you always saying that. You should totally do it." Alani said. "I'm most definitely am. It's not something I can't do while pregnant it just depends on how I feel down the line. But how you been" I said.

"Understandable, but lately i've been in a good headspace. But it's just something been off with me and Dre more so he's been the one off. I understand he went through something traumatic but it just seems like he's hiding something from me." Alani said as an overwhelmed look came upon her face.

"You think he's cheating" I asked her. "Girlll he better not for his sake" she said. "Have you tried talking to him" I asked. "Yessss, and every time he just brush it off" she said letting out a sigh. "Maybe it's just been the whole situation with Key" I said trying not to think the worst.

"Hopefully" Alani said. "REALLY" we heard Shanice yell from the living room causing us to scrunch up our face. "Momma must got a man" Alani said as I was thinking the same. "Sounds like it" I said. "She better not or i'm going to tell my daddy" Amerie said looking up from her ipad.

"Tootie we got to work on this snitching" Alani said shaking her head. "Don't do my baby" I said laughing as Shanice walked back in. "Everything okay ma" I asked her. "Yeahh, just them damn telemarketer" Shanice said lying. "Nahh, ma it didn't sound like a telemarketer sound like you got yourself a man" Alani said.

"Righttt" I said co-signing with her. "I ain't worried bout yall" Shanice said waving us off while opening the Dior shoe box. "Really Lyric" Shanice said in shock as she pulled out the blue Dior flats.

"Damn ma I don't even got those" Lani said. "Aww Lyric you didn't have to , thank you" Shanice said walking around the island to give me a hug. "Your welcome" I said smiling. "Where's my hug" Merie said pouting. "Come here Gigi baby" Shanice said walking up to Merie.

"Lordt my lil niece ain't going to knwo how to act when the baby gets here" Lani said. "I know right she so spoiled" I said. "Y'all ready to go" Shanice asked us. "Yeahh we can" I said standing up. "You wanna ride with me ma" Lani asked Shanice. "We can do that let me go grab my purse" Shanice said.

Thirty minutes later we arrived at the hospital. "Y'all can go ahead, i'm going to use the restroom" I said. "I can come with you" Lani said. "No, i'm good it shouldn't take me long" I said. "Okayy, call me if you need me" Lani said before walking away with Shanice and Amerie.

Ten minutes later I was walking out the bathroom. "Excuse me" I said as I walked out the bathroom almost bumping into a man that was wearing a baseball cap. I grew nauseous as I smelt the cologne he was wearing. "Well damn nigga watch out" I mumbled to myself as I started to walk towards Key's room.

Feeling someone staring at me I turnt around seeing the same dude with the baseball cap talking to a nurse. I turnt back around and started speed walking once the uncomfortable feeling wouldn't leave.

Once my hand was on the knob of the door I busted in the room. "Damn girlll yo ass seem like you running from the police" I heard a low raspy voice say as I walked further into the room.

I froze up as I saw an awaken Markeyvious. My heart started pacing as I watched him let out the smile that had became so foreign for the last five days. "Is yo ass just going to stare at me or what" he asked mugging me.

I ran up to him and gave him a tight hug as tears felled down my face. "Ahh damn ma" Key said in pain. I pulled back quickly as I seen he was in pain. "You scared me, I should beat yo ass" I said thumping his ear. "You gone make me beat yo ass" Key said placing a mug on his face. "I missed you so much" I said hugging him again but not as tight as I did before.

"Yo ass must be pregnant or sum, all these different type of emotions" Key said letting out a low chuckle. Causing Shanice to look off while Alani pulled her phone out. "Shutup" I said sniffling as I pulled back.

"How long have you been awake" I asked as tears continued to fall. "Mamas i'm okay you don't have to keep crying" Key said grabbing ahold of my hand with a confused look on his face. "I've been up bout an hou-" Key started to say but got cut off by Alani saying "What the fuck" while looking down at her phone.

I turnt around to look at her confused. "What's wrong" I asked her as I wiped the tears from my eyes. Alani look up at her bestfriend not wanting or show her what was on her phone. She knew that Lyric would be heartbroken more so devastated that this was happening to her a second time.

She knew how Lyric was finally founding herself and has been genuinely happy over the course of the past four months. "Lani what's wrong" Lyric asked as the look on her bestfriend's face looked hopeless.

"Ly-ric I-ii" Lani said stumbling over her words. A confused look comes across my face. Seeing that she was unable to mutter up the words to tell me what she was talking about I walked up to her taking her phone out of her hand.

"Girl I thought you was playing" Brielle said as she read a comment. "No, y'all know my baby daddy obsessed with me" she said laughing. "I gave him his first kid now the second one the pussy too good for him too leave" she said.

"Who yo baby daddy" she said reading aloud a comment. "Markeyvious" she said. "That bitch ain't his girl he was just with her cause I wasn't giving him no attention" she said answering a comment. "Dis nigga been sending money for doctor appointments and for me to get stuff for the baby" she said.
