《You Can Do It Chongyun! [School AU]》Chapter 1: Chongyun's Crush
Advertisement
Chongyun walked into the front entrance of their school, talking with his friends and walking beside his crush, Xingqiu. Now to everyone else, Xingqiu wasn't someonr who stood out much, considering the boy always had his nose in a book it seemed; but to Chongyun he was the most interesting person in the world, not to mention the most beautiful. He saw a side of his crush that nobody else got to, and he felt incredibly lucky to have this opportunity. Even now the boy was reading and walking (which Chongyun tried to tell him not to do, but of course he didn't listen). The blue haired boy smiled down at him, before blushing and looking back up at his friends.
"Ooo~ does Chongyun have a crushhhh" Xiangling teased, hugging her bear plush tightly.
Chongyun blushed in response and mumbled something that sounded like a "shut up Xiangling" Under his breath.
She chuckled and backed off, going back to the original conversation about what food was spicer, which Aether gladly didn't partake in.
They all made their way into their first class of the day, Mr. Tartagila's class. When they got in they saw Zhongli talking to him, Childe getting closer and closer to the other teachers face. Zhongli blushed looking at the students that came in, waving at them before turning back to Childe. "I'll talk to you later Childe" He said before leaving the classroom.
Tartagila had the biggest grin on his face as he greeted his students. All the kids teased their teacher for his obvious crush on Mr. Zhongli, whereas Xingqiu made his way to his window seat. His nose still buried in the book that he's been reading since Chongyun got him from his house this morning. Chongyun, of course, noticed Xingqiu's absence from beside him and turned to go sit with him when he felt a hand tap him. He turned around to see it was nobody but Xiangling.

"So~ you have a crush on the bookworm, huh?" She teased him, causing the bluenette to blush.
"Well maybe a little bit, but I could I not. He does everything with perfection, he always keeps his promises, he's strong and beautiful, and incredible. He's smart and patient. How could I not love him" He sighed with a soft smile.
Xiangling shook her head. "You need to confess all that! To his faceee~" She chuckled "but seriously you should confess to him, Valentine's is close right? Do it then"
"I don't know. What if he doesn't feel the same" He groaned as Aether and the rest of the group came up to him.
"What if who doesn't feel the same?" Aether asked, tilting his head a bit.
"N-nobody!" He yelped, his cheeks getting hotter with every second that passed by.
"A nobody named Xingqiu?" Paimon teased as Chongyun stared at her in shock.
"How did you know?!" His voice cracked.
"Everyone knows silly! Everyone except Xingqiu that is, he's too busy with his book to notice anything" Paimon said with a careless shrug.
"He does notice things...he knows everyone's birthday and what they like and--" He got cut off by Paimon who looked at him unamused
"That wasn't a signal to tell me that I'm wrong. I said that just for you to not worry about if he knows your feelings. You just need to confess you big dummy" She huffed, walking off with her shirt swishing behind her.
Chongyun sighed as Aether chuckled "she's right you know, you should confess" He smiled. "Only if you confess to Diluc and your sister confesses to Amber!" He huffed as Xingqiu looked up from his book, startled by all the commotion.
"Is everything okay?" He asked Chongyun, tilting his head to the side which made Chongyun just about die from cuteness.

"Uh yeah, everything is perfect, go back to your book Xing" He smiled at him and got a smile in return before Xingqiu picked his book up again.
"Not happening Chongyun, we'll confess after you do" Aether chuckled going to his seat as the warning bell rang.
Everyone filled into class, listening to Childe's lecture, well kind of. They were all just asking questions to distract Childe from the lesson and talk about Zhongli so they got out of work. Which worked, considering it was super easy to distract Childe into talking about their History Teacher. And that's how they spent the rest of class before the bell rang and they all left to finish the rest of their morning classes.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
