("Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Shen. It's a baby boy.")
Shen Qingqiu and Bingge got transported into a white building with multiple rooms and many people rushing about, some in white coats with metal things hanging around their necks and some laying in beds.
"What the... why are we here?" The master's eyes were as large as the moon as he looked around the entire scene befire him.
"What is this place, Shizun?" Bingge was taking in as much information as well in this bizarre surroundings. Everything about it is unfamiliar to him.
"This is..." Shen Qingqiu could not believe that in front of him was his mother and father, with a doctor holding him in a bundle. It felt like forever since he'd seen them. "This is the real world. My world."
"Shizun's world, huh..." Bingge went closer to the baby Shen Qingqiu and took a peek, but no one noticed him. "Is this child... Shizun?"
"I think so, but this doesn't make any sense." Shen Qingqiu put a hand over his head. "I don't even remember my own birth, but why is it showing in the dreamscape?"
"Moreover..." Bingge tried to study the baby's face carefully, as if memorizing it. "That voice earlier... that's him, wasn't it?"
"Mn." Shen Qingqiu nodded. "Shen Jiu, the original Shen Qingqiu. But how did his last memories got here? I... really don't understand what's going on."
("A-Yuan looks great doesn't he?" Mrs. Shen said.
"He does." The doctor smiled, but then it falters. "But Mr. and Mrs. Shen... I have some bad news."
"Bad news?" The two parents look frightened and hugged their child closer.
"A-Yuan seems well and healthy now... but we found that his arms and legs are weaker than the average. Not only that... but so is his heart. We advise that he stay at home as much as possible and do monthly check-ups. He can't grow up like the other kids, and he can't be overexcited or overstressed or there's a big chance of heart failure. We can't explain his condition yet, and we can't find any proper diagnosis for him, but all we know is he have to grow up as a sickly child, though he looks normal to all of us, maybe even to himself."

Mrs. Shen cried and Mr. Shen hugged her close. "None of his older siblings are like this. Is there no other solution? We're willing to pay."
"Unfortunately, money is not the problem here, Mr. Shen. We'll do the best we can to research on this. But A-Yuan may not feel sick himself, so it might be better to not tell him and treat him like any other child, but with more restrictions and stricter guidance. We're very sorry but you'll get through this.")
Shen Qingqiu's mouth was agape during the whole exchange and he sat down shakily on one of the hospital beds. Bingge sat beside him, his eyebrows creasing.
"They never told me...Ha..." Shen Qingqiu laughed incredulously. "I get it now."
"What?" Bingge asked but then a gust of wind came and washed away the hospital scene, changing it into a modern Chinese household.
("Father, can Yuan play tag with us?" A child asked to Mr. Shen, a few years older than the one before.
"A-Yuan doesn't want to. Right?"Mr. Shen smiled at him.
"Yeah." The child agreed because his father said so with a smile.
"Aww... you never let him play, that's why he always lose." Another child just a year younger than the first said.
"He loses because he wants to lose. A-Yuan is not competitive, and besides, he likes playing with his younger sister here. You boys go on ahead."
"Yes, Father." The two went on their way. A-Yuan, who is a child who believes in everything the adults tell him, still has a lingering feeling of wanting to play deep inside. It was obvious in his eyes.
Mrs. Shen noticed, so she got a book from one of the shelf and kneeled beside the small boy. "Do you want to read this, A-Yuan?"
"What's that?" The child observed the cover with sparkling eyes.
"This is a xianxia novel. It's a story about heroes who ride in swords and fight evil creatures." Mrs. Shen said. "Do you want to be a hero?"
"Yup!" Shen Qingqiu took the book from her hand and started to flip the pages with much excitement.
"Are you sure about this? He's only 7 and xianxia seems too advanced for his age. Would he understand it?" Mr. Shen asked dubiously.

"Of course. A-Yuan is pretty smart. This way he won't be bored while staying at home." Mrs. Shen said. "Look, he already loves it.")
"My mom was right." Shen Qingqiu explained, his eyes far away and reminiscent. "I love reading in general, but I've always had a special place for xianxia novels. I keep reading and reading them, and asking for more, as if... I was searching something. A specific book."
Bingge is trying to make sense of what his Shizun is trying to tell him, but a part of him doesn't want to. A part of him is stopping him from coming into a full conclusion.
The scene changed again.
("Uggh, what kind of ending is that?" An older Shen Yuan sits at his computer screen. "Boring! Overdone! Totally unoriginal! Man, I've finished this book but why did I read it in the first place?"
He munched on a snack and typed with raging fury in the comment's section.
"Stupid book, stupid author." He mumbled but then choked, until he can't breathe and fell off the chair.)
"Fuck, that's a really embarrassing death." He said. "But my heart condition explains it. I got too worked up on Proud Immortal Demon Way. For some reason, I always get so worked up on Proud Immortal Demon Way. Now I know why."
He looked at Bingge in the eye, who is still confused and in disbelief. "Luo Binghe... It was me all along. I was Shen Qingqiu of Proud Immortal Demon Way, the man you've killed."
"No..." Bingge shook his head and took a step back. "That's impossible."
" I've come back to life as Shen Yuan in the real world, and went back here to change our story. " Shen Qingqiu stepped forward. "That was my wish. A better ending. My wish brought you and I here for a better ending."
"But I thought it was my wish." The protagonist was stunned. "Great God... The 'System' said.."
[You are both correct.]
The two turned towards the system's voice.
[All of this happened because of 3 people's wishes.]
"Three?" They asked at the same time.
[The other one was Shen Yuan, the Shen Yuan from Server MXTX who is just a normal millenial who went into the Proud Immortal Demon Way and ended up with Bingmei. He had an encounter with the Bingge of his server, and pitied him, wishing that he can also find happiness. Because of that, Server M_H was born to put you two together; you who were past enemies in the original novel.]
"Wait, so you're saying the real Shen Yuan asked for this? So were not real and this is just like a fanfic version of the original server? " Shen Qingqiu asked. "Man, this is too many alternate universe and conspiracy shit for me to handle."
[Not quite. Shen Yuan isn't the only one who wants it, the readers also want a happy ending for Bingge and Shen Jiu. And besides, there is no 'real' Shen Yuan. The rule of the system is that every version is true to itself. Think of it like this: The servers are orange trees, the world are oranges and the people who 'consume' these oranges are the readers. Every orange is similar but at the same time different to each and their own. Every orange tree is also similar but bears different oranges. People just different taste and preference on the orange they'd like to eat, but in the end, it's still an orange. Do you get it?]
Shen Qingqiu: "...."
Bingge: "....."
"Yes?" They answered at the same time.
"That analogy make sense... kinda. Man, I was a scum villain all along... wow." Shen Qingqiu looked consciously on Bingge. "So, uh... Do you hate me now?"
"Why?"
He scratched his head. "Because I'm the 'evil' Shen Qingqiu, I just changed because I got transported in a world where I would know what will happen and change everything when I get back."
"That's true." Bingge said. "But you already answered your own question. You've changed. That's why. I've changed too, so I don't hate you anymore. Shizun is Shizun until the very end, that's our fate."
"Binghe..." He hugged him with teary eyes. "Thank you. And I'm sorry for everything, even if you already forgive me a long time ago. I was a bastard, you deserve to hear that directly from me."
"We we're both bastards, Shizun. " Bingge chuckled and hugged him closer.
[So now that you've known everything, would you still bring back this server's Bingmei?]
"Huh?" The two parted from their heartwarming closure.
[You've earned 20,000 cool points from learning the truth. Would you exchange that to bring back the Bingmei who died?]

A Demon Lord's Reincarnation
Selina’s got a pretty active imagination. When doing math, she pretends that she is a great detective solving a heinous crime! Ordinary tasks, like a trip upstairs, turn into a perilous adventure to raid a dragon’s cave! She believes that life should be full of wonder and magic, and tries to force the world to cope with her conviction! But when Selina wakes up to remember her past life as the Demon Lord, she has to face the fact that real life is messy, and not anything like what she imagined. With ancient powers stirring, family problems, and the hectic life of a teenager, Selina will have to discover more about herself if she is going to survive the trials ahead. With the help of her best friend and a fair share of luck, she might just get through this alive. Maybe. (Updates (hopefully) on Sundays) This story started out as a flipped isekai. Instead of a hero being pulled into a medieval world, a Demon Lord is pulled into the modern world. It has since moved a bit beyond that initial premise but it is the foundation of the work. Along the way, I threw in dragons, elves, dwarves, and some vampires (but no werewolves, gotta nip that in the bud) all wrapped up in the political drama of a modern world. The story, however, will mainly focus on the characters and their development and as such, is a bit of a slow burn. It may take a couple of chapters to get into. You have been warned! (PS, please show patience for the author's notes. They're a bit crazy and don't always make the most sense. The author's a bit of a ditz. Please ignore him.)

Observations of the Nameless
Sometimes the world will just whirl by without a care for its inhabitants. Each passing day bring a new experience unlike the one before it. Why do we do anything... That's a really good question, isn't it? Author's Note: Each chapter is about 300 words, so that's the reason for the short story tag even though this will be a (somewhat) ongoing series. Expect an update twice a week on Tue/Wed and on Fri/Sat. No set time, but likely afternoon or evening.
