《Fade Away [Reapertale]》Chapter #5: Nightmare

I created a monster, a hell within my head
Nowhere to go, I'm out on my own
Oh I'm so scared
I created a monster, a beast inside my brain
Nowhere to go, I'm not on my own
My mind impaired to wake me from my nightmare

[Sans POV]
Frisk grabbed onto my sleeve and started pulling me toasted her room.
She started signing to me. 'Something wrong with (Y/N). Help her please.'
Finally we reached her room and Frisk stopped looking at me.
"Stay here." I said as I turned the doorknob.
We were dealing with a minor God. Good chance she doesn't know how to control her powers but she is Chara daughter.
With a sigh I opened the door and stepped in. Closing it behind me as fast as I can.
The first thing I noticed was the room was really bright. Maybe to bright.
Second thing I noticed was (Y/N), curled up in a ball on Frisk bed. There was a blue glow around her.
She didn't look the same.
Her hair was more brighter. Her skin was more taned. More smooth looking.
"(Y/N)?" I said stepping closer to her.
She didn't respond.
I walked to the side of the bed.
She was shaking and it looked like tear was going down her cheeks.
Finally I understood.
She was having a nightmare. How many times have I had them and wished someone was there to comfort me?
I reached out to place my hand on her arm then stopped.
What if she died from my touch?
'She won't.' A voice said in my head.
Gaster?!
But as soon as I heard it, it was gone.
Listening to the voice I put my hand on her arm and kneeled down to be face to face with her.

"(Y/N)." I said in my softest voice. "I'm here now. I have you. Shh... No more crying. Please wake up." I said.
Slowly her eyes opened up and I caught my breath.
They looked so...... So....... Broken..... Lost...... Hurt.....
Without thinking I scooped her up and hugged her.
I climbed into the bed with her. I laid down as she curled up into me.
She cried harder as I rubbed her back.
The light in the room had finally went down.
I laid there with her. I don't know for how long but I did. I would always be here for her.
Slowly she sat up and looked at me. "Thanks." She mumbles.
"Do..... Do you mind tell me about it?" I asked softly.
She sits all the way up and nods her head.
She took a deep breath and starts to talk. "It was when I first came down to Earth. Someone wanted to fight me. I don't remember her name. All of a sudden this box thing showed up in front of me and there was a heart in the middle of it. There were four boxes under it. [Fight] [Act] [Item] and [Mercy]. It was all so new to me. I dint know what was going on. I looked at the girls heart and it was green. I then looked at mine. It was black." (Y/N) raised her hands up to her chest. She pulls back and her soul came with it. She rested her hands on her laps and her soul lands in her hands to.
Her soul was in fact black. So black I couldn't see through it like you could with others.
"The girl looked at my heart and started yelling something about me being a monster. I really thought I was. I've never seen a soul like mine. No one else has a soul like mine. After that the girl would pick on me about my soul. About how I was different. I mean I knew I was since I was a kind but...." She looks down at her hands. "This is different."

By now I was sitting up right beside her.
I don't know what came over me but slowly I took my 'soul' out and held it in my hands close to hers. I put my other arm around her.
She let out a little gasp seeing my 'soul'.
I didn't want to but Asgore was right about everything. About how me and (Y/N) was destine to be. How we could change the fate of everyone. How this was basically up to me and her.
In a low breath I said "Your claimed by Death."
I looked away not wanting to look at her or the pained expression on her face. It already hurt to keep something like this from her but it would hurt even more if she realised that.
(Y/N) sat there gathering her thoughts.
Finally in a shaky voice she begins to talk. "But your Death."

I wasn't adding anything more to it, so might as well just release it. Learn from the experience, you know? Leave any criticism behind, while I may not be a professional nor plan on becoming one, I still am unfortunately a perfectionist. Oh, and tell me what you liked. So I know what I did well.
