《Tsundere Much? (Afterdeath)》Geno is confused

"What happened? I remember we were at Grillby's and I fell and-" Geno rambled, but Death just shushed him.
"It's ok, Geno, it's all over now." Death whispered.
Geno stared at Death in confusion, "You make it sound like it was a bad memory."
"It was and I'd rather not bring it up ever again." Death wheezed a little as they reached his house.
Geno walked in after Death and entered the house, Frisk was on the couch thinking, their laurel was at their side, Papyrus was pacing back and forth in worry and noticed the two were home. He rushed forward to Geno and Death.
"It's so good to see you're ok, Geno!" Papyrus said, he looked like he had been crying, maybe because seeing Geno die was like seeing Death die.
"Thanks?" Geno was more confused, he looked over at Death for hints but he just gave his usual tired smile.
Papyrus sighed in relief, "I thought you'd be gone forever, thank Asgore Life was able to resurrect you."
"Resurrect me?" Geno stepped back in surprise, "What? I was dead!?"
"Yes you were and thank goodness you were in Reapertale." Core Frisk appeared next to Papyrus.
"Frisk!" Geno started, Reaper Frisk looked up since their name was Frisk too, Geno laughed a little,"No not you, this one." He pointed at Core Frisk. Reaper Frisk went back to contemplating life decisions.
"Geno, you've had enough fun for today, time to return home." Core Frisk opened the front door.
"H-Home?" Geno couldn't believe what he was hearing, home, a place he thought was gone.
Core Frisk noticed the hope in Geno's eye and was almost reluctant to tell him that when they meant home, they meant the Omega Timeline.

Geno's heart sank a little but he kept his smile, "Of course."
"I saw you die and I was so worried for you, lucky you were in Reapertale or you would have been dead forever." Core Frisk breathed as they walked through the door.
"What do you mean? Reaper Frisk could have easily reload a save file and I'd be undead." Geno closed the door behind him, he didn't want to look at Death's disappointed look or it'll haunt him for a long time.
"Ah, that only works for people who live in Reapertale," Core Frisk stopped walking, they lifted a finger up and jabbed it gently onto Geno's chest, "you, however, do not belong in Reapertale. So you won't reload along with the others."
"You would poof out of existence." Core Frisk continued, they wanted to try scaring Geno a little so he would be more careful next time. But his empty look wasn't what they were looking for.
"Then what about my...world?" Geno muttered.
Core Frisk lowered their finger down, they looked away with unease. "I don't know. I don't know what happened or why it happened."
Geno sighed, the feeling of dread lifted away, he didn't want to feel gloomy all day. "I guess I'll find out someday." He managed a smile.
"Yeah," Core Frisk said, they reappeared in the Geno's old universe, "someday."

Like most descisions in life it had felt like the nobler pursuit at the time, but with the darkness closing in, she realized how terrified she was. Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!
