I never normally do this and in other books it low-key annoys me when authors do this, but I have something important to tell y'all at the end of the chapter so please read it !!!
[start of aftermath]
stood in front of her oldest brother, eyes roaming the old house of theirs as she tried to ignore his raised eyebrows and intent gaze. He was smiling, something he didn't do often, and she could tell that he was dying to ask her questions. About what, she didn't know.
She crossed her arms over her chest, leant on one hip and looked Derek up and down, pursing her lips as she said, "Alright, what is it? Why are you looking at me like that."
Derek stifled a laugh and continued to smile, sitting back on the couch, his arms outstretched as he looked up at his little sister.
"So," he started casually. "What happened between you and Stilinski at formal?"
The smile dropped from Eleanor's lips as she groaned, cupping her face in her hands to hide the blush emerging in her cheeks from pure embarrassment. However, glancing around, seeing her twin nowhere in sight, she knew exactly who had tipped him off.
Narrowing her eyes, "Jaden told you, didn't he?"
Derek shrugged as if he didn't know the answer, causing a sigh to fall from Eleanor's lips as she walked to couch, falling beside Derek and leaning her head lightly on his shoulders. It had been merely a day after all the events that took place outside, and she was still exhausted.
"I'm only telling you this because I've had no one to actually talk about it with." The young girl warned, turning on her side and sitting cross legged beside her brother.
He smiled even wider and the words and turned to listen to his sister, knowing secretly how excited she was to tell someone about the night she had before it all went to hell. "Tell me everything then."

And she did. She told him of what Allison had done, now suspecting it had something to do with Kate showing her to Derek, she told him about what had happened at the mall and how Scott came to find her, she told him of how Scott stood on a table and asked her to formal. She told him about getting ready at the McCalls, about sneaking into her own prom with Scott, about finally getting to dance with a certain Stilinski. More importantly though, she told him that Stiles might feel the same way about her than she does for him.
Derek just listened, smiling and laughing with Eleanor at the funny stories, and in the back of his mind he made a mental note to have a talk with the Stilinski kid someday.
He was just glad all the drama was over, and Eleanor was finally happy.
...
infamous quartet opened Lydia's hospital door slowly, on their hands and knees, making sure that nobody could see them. They weren't allowed to see her, it was the hospitals orders, but that didn't stop them from trying.
Eleanor was Lydia's friend and just wanted to make sure she was alright, and the three boys wanted to check on how she was healing. They were desperate to know whether Peter had turned her, because she looked as if she were getting better.
Eleanor crawled in first, followed by Scott, Jaden and then Stiles, who shut the door rather too loudly. The werewolves turned to glare at Stiles and rolled their eyes, moving to shut the blinds so nobody would be able to see them in the forbidden room.
As soon as they did this, they all stood up from the floor and rushed toward the strawberry blondes hospital bed. Eleanor frowned while looking down at her friend, feeling guilty about not being able to save her in time. She felt awful, and she was desperate to make sure that Lydia was getting better.

Sensing her guilt flooded emotions, Scott and Jaden looked from across the bed to Stiles who was standing next to her, and widened his eyes, motioning to the girl indiscreetly as Stiles nodded slowly. Awkwardly, he wrapped an arm around her waist, bringing her closer to him for comfort.
Scott tried to stifle a laugh, and shook his head at his friend, before turning back to the task at hand. Ever so gently, he pulled away the bandage that covered her neck, until it had completely peeled off. Scott, Jaden and Eleanor looked at the wound incredulously, while Stiles shied away from the very thought of blood and looked the other way.
"Oh god, is it completely healed?"
"No," Scott breathed astonishingly, "Not at all."
He looked up to Eleanor and Jaden hopefully for an explanation, and all they did was shrug, looking closer. Stiles braced his fear and turned back too, grimacing at the still to be healed wound.
Stiles too turned to the twins for an explanation. "I don't get it. The doctor said she'd be fine."
"But - but the bite's not healing like it did with me. Which means-"
"She's not a werewolf." Eleanor murmured, softly replacing the bandage where it had been beforehand.
"Then what the hell is she?"
...

Golden Age
In the latter half of the 21st century fully immersive virtual reality has finally become mainstream; a brand new game company called Aurum Productions promises to bring about the most realistic fantasy MMORPG ever created with their flagship title, Golden Age. A new player who goes by the name, D0n, loads into the world of virtual reality for the first time in his life thanks to these promises. But what catches his attention isn’t the wild monsters, the in-depth quest lines, or the ability to perform superhuman feats — what draws D0n at first is a bit more… mundane. Sure he’ll put in the time to level up his character… just as soon as he can finish applying the last layer of paint on his new coffee table… and after he lands that triple backflip he’s been trying to do all day… not to mention the lady next door was talking about a new horned rabbit stew recipe she was working on… Sure a world of swords and magic in virtual reality means a whole slew of fantastical experiences you can’t get anywhere else, but it’s not like those are going anywhere. And virtual or not, D0n is determined to live out his reality with a pace and vision that suits him best. It’s just a shame that his habit of a personalized play style has some far reaching consequences even Golden Age’s dev team could have never predicted. New Chapters uploaded every Wednesday.

Naruto Retsuden: Toru
[SI/OC Third Shinobi War]Well fought and well done. All of us fight as one. It took me three years to be able to properly read the faded out kanji of the flimsy poster that I keep in my back pocket. The illustration is colourful, bright reds and yellows. Colours that would definitely catch the attention of a child. The poster was carefully placed along the walls and fences of my village, level with the height of a four year old. I thought enlisting to become a Shinobi was a heroic deed, something I needed to do to save my family from poverty and to serve my country at the cusp of war. Then I graduated early to be deployed to the front lines.I am sadly and sorely mistaken. Warnings:Slow-burnNO OP-NESSRomance? What romance? It'll take at least 40 chapters or more before anything romantic happens.Realistic depictions of War from a child's perspectiveBlood and goreChild SoldiersPTSDRealistic character developmentTragedy. A lot of tragedy. Critiques much appreciated!
