《The Sandlot(BxB)》Chapter 2

"Do we really have to go every time?"
"Just do it. please?"
"... You're lucky you're younger than me"
"Yes! Hurry and come on!"
"I'm coming!"
We ran down the sidewalk or he ran and I jogged cause I'm faster and head to the small woods leading to one of his favorite places now.
The Sandlot
He apparently found it while following some guys back here and he loved going ever since to watch them play. Baseball that is. Not to mention him dragging me here with him.
We walked up to the familiar red fence and Scott looked around, running into a branch. I laughed at him only for him to get mad at me again.
We walked in and I followed Scotty as he circled around the area. One thing I noticed about these guys is that they never kept score or chose sides. They kind of just kept playing the game endlessly.
I'm really good at pitching so I try to teach Scott when he wants to learn but most of the time he says I throw too hard or I don't give him enough time to think, whatever that means. I guess that's why he asked Bill last time.
Anyway, Scotty and I were still watching them play this endless game of baseball. I heard rumbling behind us and my head turned slowly to the blue fence. A deep growling could be heard from the other side of the fence, making me uneasy. I was slightly startled to hear someone yelling at us from afar.
"Watch out!"
We turned around and saw the baseball coming at us. My reflexes were a lot faster than Scott's and I stepped out of the way. He didn't get so lucky cause the ball hit him and he let out a scream. I heard the boys from the field laughing as hard as they could while one of them shook their head I couldn't see who though.

"You okay Scotty? I should have caught it"
"Yeah, it's fine"
He got up and put his hat back on. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I mean of course Scott is my best friend but… That hat has to be thrown off a cliff… and burned in the depths of hell.
Sorry, not sorry?
He turned to the field and yelled out to the guys a few yards away.
"Hey! I'll get it!"
He started to whisper to himself but I could still hear him
"Okay, I'll get. Don't be a goofus, don't be a goofus, don't be a goofus!"
He slowly walked over to the fence. Since he caused us attention I might as well say something to these guys. Right?
I lightly jogged towards the field while Scotty went to grab their ball.
I went over to them and a few of them stared at me. They looked dumbfounded for some reason. I looked around them very confused. They look like they've never seen a guy before. And that's dumb because they're surrounded by each other. Every day...
"Hi, I'm Y/N"
No response. Just more stares. And now it awkward.
I heard Scotty scream from the opposite direction and turned around to see him running away from the fence.
He had the ball in his hand and the others seemed to turn their attention to him and they started yelling at him to hurry up.
I looked back to see the tallest one still looking at me but he turned away, looking back to Scott.
Wait, Scott can't throw at all... I look back at him standing weirdly and he threw the ball a few feet in front of him. The guys were on the floor laughing this time and Scott had his head down. He ran out of the Sandlot right after.

"Wow you guys are jerks"
I looked around the group and they stopped laughing. I saw some of their faces turn red and others looked away but the tall one just stared at me. I scoffed and ran after Scotty. I called his name to slow him down which he completely ignored me.
Since I'm faster I caught up with him pretty quickly and I grabbed a hold of one of his moving wrists.
"You alright, Scotty?"
"No, I'm a loser"
"Hey, no look at me Scott, you are not a loser"
"That's what you think"
"That is what I think. Look your an amazing person, okay?"
He nodded and sniffed. It caught me by surprise but he hugged me. He only did this when he was truly upset and I would never push him away.
"Let's go home. I want to go finish the-"
"Thingy majiggy? Sure"
"That's not what it's call-"
"Yes it is, now let's go"
He smiled and let go of my abdomen.
"Finally, you smile"
He punched my arm and ran down the street towards his house.
"Hey get back here!"

Tempest Rogue
This story follows Auron, a man who has been plagued with vivid nightmares his entire life. While running away from a beating, a splitting headache causes him to fall to his knees. Once again his nightmares bleed into reality. The next "episode" he has brings him from the scene of his nightmare, to a posionous swamp. To make matters worse his memories from earth are fading, and these nightmares that plagued his childhood, filled with darkness and a red coocoon, are back and worse than ever. As he clings to the only memories he has left, he is forced to fight through a world of brutal blood thirsty monsters, dungeons, and a complex magic system governed by an ancient agreement. First time writing any sort of story. Everything is still a work in progress. As I improve on my writing I will go back and edit parts. Early chapters are subject to change as I grow my ability. I am going to try my best to write this world and improve as I go. My goal is to make my dream come to life through the medium of text. This is why I wanted to post it here. Feel free to comment, and bring constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy! More info (Spoiler warning): only read if you are picky, read a lot, and want to waste no time with a story you may not want read. This book is a litrpg. This means it contains stat tables, and other game elements. (Which you may gloss over if you would like) It is written in a fantasy world, in the style of a progression fantasy. The main character grows in power as the story plays out. My characters are written to my best ability, but you may find them immature. The MC has to adjust to fighting, and killing which he struggles with for a while. His partner is a magical salamander who is a friend and mentor. The world building, monsters, and descriptions are also low tier. (I am working hard to change that!) If you are okay reading something by someone who is just getting started then welcome! I am doing my best, and incrementally improving as I go.

Cars are more than just a mode of transportation to get from point A to point B. Ever since I was a kid and grew up with my family driving in our 84 Buick Regal, I knew I had some sort of special understanding with these vehicles. I know many of you out there have communicated with your vehicles in one fashion or another, but with me personally, Ive always understood and heard the soul of these classic cars. Its made me feel more empathy and understanding of some of the situations they get in, but also understand the joy they feel when they are with whom they call their road partners. When we go to car shows or dealerships, it's mainly for the cars. We don't know what we want or how old we want the car to be. There is a mechanical friend for each of us to learn more about their scientific background. This takes the reader far beyond the facts of what the car breed is. Everything has a spirituality side of it. A Tao; The Tao or Dao is a Chinese word signifying the "way", "path", "route", "road" or sometimes more loosely "doctrine" of cars. If we are looking for a classic car tht we dream of then the message is "Having an old American car is that it doesn't have to be very pretty. It's a satisfactory pleasure of building it and getting together to talk about the American classic, muscle car or not, it's how you connect with others into a community that holds together community. It is much safer to be riding around in a standard classic car from the 60s an 70s because you are aware of your responsibility driving it plus if you're hit, the armor protecting you is the car itself with no huge lethal damage to the car or yourself" Others' tastes are going to be different and unusual.but it is best to find what cars are going to say when we bond with them in every day in all the ways possible. This book teaches how to connect with the vehicle and how to detect gender energies within the machine and waht the machine can do for you.
