"Now, pups! It's time for class to begin!" Crewel rapped his cane on the desk as a way to call for order in the classroom. "Now: we have all gone over several different types of potions. But the most difficult to master are aging potions. They're almost the same with glamour, but can physically turn you to any age."

Charlie dotted down the notes like usual, her eyes on her paper and her ears listening to the teacher. It was her main note-taking style.

"Ugh, why with the lectures again? I wanna blow stuff up!" Grim whined.

"It's normal for there to be lectures when it's for things were not familiar with." Deuce chided silently.

"So, for today's experiment: we'll try our hand at a simple aging potion that can turn a person into their younger self. Get a partner and let us begin!"

After following specific orders, before she was to add in the aging crystal, the main ingredient to the potion-

"It's this!"

"No way!"

"Mine!"

One mispronounces an ingredient, the other corrects him, yet neither are even talking about the right thing. It was a nightmare.

Suddenly, random things went flying through the air, one of which hit her hand, which lets go of the crystal. Deuce manages to restrain the creature but ends up knocking her pot over, and spilling some onto her clothes.

"Will you knock it off?!" she screams, but it's too late. The mixture spilled began to smile and then-

Poof! A cloud surrounds her form.

"Oh shit! Charlie!!!" Grim freaked out, worried of the potential harm they might've caused her.

But through the smoke, a surprise awaited them.

The Seer has fallen to the floor, her appearance changed drastically. She looked around four years with chubbier cheeks and doe eyes. Her clothes shrunk to fit her baby-sized body, with her boots as well.

"Oh my god....." Deuce gaped at his now child-sized companion.

"Charlie?"

"Huh? How do you know me? Who are you?"

And this was the beginning of a roller coaster of a day.

"What?? We're supposed to take care of her?!!" Ace was pissed.

"Yes! You've done this to her! She should be back to normal by the end of the day." Crowley declares.

"Isn't there any way to break the spell?" Deuce inquires while nervously glancing towards Charlie in his arms, chewing on the tails of her ribbon headband.

"It's hard to tell because you added in random things." Crowley answers before muttering, "And I've better things to handle than watching a child."

With that he strode off, ignoring the simmering glares at his back.

The rest of the day went by normally. Though NRC students could be complete assholes, no one had the gall to harm a child.

After getting a few of her favorite things, Charlie sat with the others.

"For someone who just had an age change, she's quite well mannered..." Deuce murmured, staring at his best friend.

"Oh my gooooooood! It's true!~" Cater squealed as he slid next to Charlie. "She's so adorable!!!" He coos while taking multiple pictures of her here and there to put on his Magicam account later.

"How are you, Charlotte?" Trey asks smiling kindly.

"Okay..." she replies while taking a bite of her food carefully.

"You know, you look pretty cute like that~?" Ace teases.

"Do...do I really look that cute...?" She answered back shyly, hiding her face.

"Of course! You're even as cute as Epel-kun~!" Cater smiled, picking up Charlie and eskimo kissing her, getting a giggle out of the child.

"Just tell us what you need and we'll be ready, my lady!" Cater did a mock bow.

"Nah, I'm okay. Besides, momma said boys can't do the stuff women do for spit! Unlike us girls, They're feeble." Charlie crinkled her nose.

Grim nearly died laughing as a dark cloud loomed over the four heads at her remark. Even as a child, she still had some sass.

Charlie giggled as she painted a picture of her and her friends on blank white paper in red paint. The guys had tasks to handle for the day, and that involved the flamingos and hedgehogs, along with making sure the roses were painted a perfect ruby.

"I can't believe you three turned her into a child of all things!" Riddle grumbled,sipping from his cup as his eyes never left her.

"Be thankful she's at least tame as a kid..." Ace muttered, picking up his paint can and moving onto another white rose tree.

"But c'mon, Riddle-kun. Isn't she cute like this?" Cater smiled, secretly filming her from his spot. The second year looked over to see several of the hedgehogs wandering around, until a green one started sniffing her. The two made eye contact, and neither of them moved. Then Charlie squealed and hugged the hedgehog like her favorite plush toy. He sniffed her and cuddled into her arms as several other started to bombard the two in a huge pile, sniffing and tickling the baby girl, making her laugh.

Riddle felt his heart squeeze, seeing Charlie's child self acting so adorable.

'So cute....so precious....must...protect her-'

"Riddle? You okay?"

"AAAH!" He jumped out of his seat only to see Trey, an eyebrow raised, and a hand on his shoulder. Riddle composed himself and said, "I'm fine."

Trey wanted to ask, but the look on his friend's face told him not too. Even staring at Charlie, cuddling the hedgehogs was enough to answer his question.

"No way!" Charlie pouted, crossing her arms and sitting firmly on the ground. Deuce felt a headache coming on, and felt just about ready to scold her. It was PE and Vargas was kind enough to let them off scot-free for the day because of her.

"You have to. It's for your own good!"

"Make me!" she retorts.

"I'm older, you should respect your elders." Deuce adds, doing his best to keep in control, and not go full-on delinquent....

"You're not worth my time, CHICKEN BOY!" she rebuttals and Deuce felt a stab in his heart.

"What's going on?" Jack walked up to the group.

"Charlie's a kid because of us, and now we're responsible for taking care of her!" Deuce muttered.

"Rabbit? a kid?" Jack looked down to see what he was talking about, but the girl was no where to be found. Until he felt a weight on his tail and a small voice cooing,

"Fluffy~."

Jack tensed, turning to see Charlie, snuggling with his tail like it was a pillow.

Knowing what it was like to have siblings, he offered to help. Jack was adamant: Deuce and Ace should know better, but he didn't want to see Charlie end up a mess while with them. So, he decided to take it for the team.

Several minutes later, Jack was running around, Charlie chasing after him. More specifically, his tail.

"Fluffy Fluffy is mine!" she kept running as a bright smile forms on her face.

"I'm leaving." Ace started.

"No you don't!" Deuce grabbed the back of his shirt. "You heard what Crowley said: This is our fault!" Deuce declares. Ace pouted angrily.

He was starting to hate today.

Charlie passed out long after class winded down. So Jack, quickly acting, agreed to give the two a break and take her back with him to Savanaclaw.

She snuggled up to him, murmuring in her sleep, as Jack did all he could to conceal the small girl from the upperclassmen.

"Oi, Howl, what'cha got there?" a voice asked behind him, but he made no effort to acknowledge it.

"None of your business." he scoffed, trying not to wake the girl in his arms. But a firm hand forced him to turn around and face a few other students.

"Ah, what do we have here?" another smirked, eyeing the sleepy child like snack.

"Hey, back off!" Jack growled, shielding Charlie's little body.

"What's going on?" the students turn and see Leona stalking toward them, a stern look in his eyes.

"Oi, Leona! Howl here's tryna sneak in food without us knowing!"

"Eh?" Leona sent the first year a confused look, and followed the wolf's gaze to the child clinging to him sleepily.

He caught whiff of her scent, and knew off the bat who it was.

"You're so stupid: that's not food, it's Rabbit..." he scoffed before taking the girl from his kouhai. "Anyone who gets as one step near Rabbit, you're answering to me. Got it?" he sends a cold look and the students were quick to respond and scurry.

Jack caught his lead up on what happened, and the lion promised to kick the two first years asses later.

Leona took the girl to his bedroom and let her sleep on his bed for the time being. But a small murmur of "Stay..." caused the third year to sigh and sleep beside her, while keeping an eye on her. He never admitted it out loud, but seeing this side of her was once in a blue moon. She wasn't like Cheka, obnoxious and seeking for attention, yet she was the same quiet girl who could snap someone's neck in a heartbeat. But seeing her so small, vulnerable and helpless made him feel...protective over her.

He's not admitting it out loud, cuz he'd rather die than admit that.

Not five minutes later, he fell asleep cuddling next to her.

"Hey, Leona, your nee-" Ruggie walked into the bedroom to speak with his boss, but shushed as soon as he saw him napping beside Charlie.

Seeing him like that was once in a lifetime. And with fast fingers, he snapped a photo of Leona with baby Charlie.

"Quality blackmail.....shishishishishi!" he snickered, running off.

Charlie's small footsteps were wandering the halls, trying to find somebody who could help her. And she was starting to get scared. After waking up in Savanaclaw, with no one else to help her, she ended up wandering from the portal into the mirror hall and into the school.

"Aah~! Is that Koebi-Chan~?!" Now she was getting more freaked out.

Out of nowhere, two hands grabbed her, lifting her in the air. She whimpered as she came face to face with heterochromatic eyes and a sharp-toothed grin.

"Koebi-Chan! You're so Kawaii!!! I could just eat you!!" Floyd started death-gripping her as the little girl struggled to breathe.

"L-Let me go!!" She squealed, trying to let his grip on her loosen.

"Floyd, do as she says or else you'll suffocate her." Another voice pleads firmly.

"Ne, Jade. Why you have to ruin my time with her?" Floyd whined, before setting her back on the ground.

Charlie title her head up to see the same guy towering over her....or was she just seeing things? Who were these people?!

"Well, it seems out Little Lotte has gotten into quite a predicament." Jade smiled, kneeling so he was up to her height.

"H-How do you know me?" She asked.

"You don't remember us?" She shook her head as a clear indication that she didn't have a clue.

Jade sighed. "This must've been a side effect when she was turned like this. She forgot who we were."

"Am I suppose to know you two...?" She asks while side-eyeing either of them, warily.

"Huh? Of course! You're always our little pearl, Koebi-Chan!" Floyd tried to hug her. But he winced when he felt a sharp kick to his leg.

"KIDNAPPER!!!" She screamed and started running away.

"Even as a child, she's wary of your advances." Jade snickered, seeing his brother hop up and down on one foot in pain.

Floyd pouts at his brother's teasing and the two follow after the child.

Charlie ducked behind a corner, catching her breath. She peeks around the corner blindly to make sure the lanky creepy twins aren't following her.

Bad mistake.

"Lotte? Is that you?" She turns at the voice. Azul was about to head back after classes were done, but never counted on the fact that he'd find the perfect opportunity to cross paths with a miniaturized version of Charlotte.

"Y-Yea. I'm Charlie...." she peeped.

"I thought the rumors went true, but here we are..." Azul kneeled, analyzing the child.

"Charlotte! Thank you for finding her, Azul." He looks up to find his lackeys several feet from them.

"Well, I never expected to see her like this nor cross paths with her, but he's I suppose so...." He caught wind of her cute glare towards the two. "So you not like them, Lotte?"

"I don't trust guys with sharp teeth." She responds with puffed cheeks.

Azul laughed as he scooped up the girl. "You don't need to be afraid of them, Lotte. They wouldn't think about harming you."

"Hmph! I don't trust them....but I trust you, mister!" She wrapped her little arms around his neck and hugged him like her life depended on it.

Azul was taken aback by the girl's affection, but with shaking hands, he hugged her back. His heartbeat began to increase as he felt some sort of bond between himself and little Charlie forming. It felt like his breath was being taken away.....

Or it could be due to the fact that she was choking him and he was turning blue in the face.

"Lotte, you may want to let go of Azul, or you'll squeeze all the ink out of his body."

Azul gave a menacing glare over her shoulder at his subordinates who snickered to themselves at the blunt comment. But he lets any threats die in his throat as soon as he heard-

"He can do that?!" Little Charlie let go of Azul and stared back at the Leech brothers with a wide smile. "CAN I SEE HIM SPIT UP INK?!" She smiled before anyone could say something.

"Of course, Koebi-Chan!" Floyd smiled, taking the girl from his boss. "You wanna know a good way to make that happen~?"

"Floyd, don't you dare!" Azul threatened.

"Please please please!!!" She begged.

"You just gotta squeeze his pudgy body so hard, he'll have no choice but to spit it up on his own~!"

"No, stop it! Get away from me!! STOP IIIIIIIIT!!" Azul took off down the hall in a frenzy with Floyd, carrying Charlie on his back, ran after, smiling.

Jade smiled, watching the two with warmth in his eyes. "They never change, do they?" He asked himself before following after at a walking pace.

At the Lounge, Charlie was gnawing on a small bread roll as Floyd kept telling her stories about his younger days with Jade and Azul, much to the latter's embarrassment.

When she laughed, cute giggles were heard that practically sent Azul's heart fluttering.

'I've always thought Lotte was such a mysterious person....but seeing her like a child, she's like an open book! So vulnerable....and too cute!!!'

"Azul?"

"What is it?"

"You seem a bit red, and you've been staring at Charlotte for a long time." Jade sent a knowing smile at his boss. "Are you-"

"NO! W-Whatever you're thinking, get it out of your head!!" The octopus stuttered. "I-I don't like her! S-She's such a vulnerable child to so many monsters here, I see it as a priority to protect her! She's so cute with those baby giggles of hers I want to protect her from any evil in this school!" He spat out in a rush. But after realizing what he said just now, the red hue on his face became even more prominent than ever.

"So....then, you-"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" The second year had ran off before Jade could finish. Probably to go hide himself in his octopus pot after blurting out how adorable Charlie is as a child.

"Ne, Azul's been acting kinda strange since we found mini Koebi-Chan..." Floyd caught on to the tease train.

"Yea, why is he like that~?" The little girl asked obliviously to the two.

"Let's just say he's realized something that he would rather die than admit in front of you both. He'd never live it down." Jade answered with his usual calm smile. "After all...." he paused. "Just one look at you, Charlotte, and He's obviously still reminiscing on his younger years....maybe with what went wrong."

"SHUT UP, WILL YOU?!" A flustered shriek was heard.

Kalim was heading to the mirror hall once class was done for the day. Sighing, he shifted his jacket onto his shoulders, and saw the archway and stairs leading to the mirror hall. But what caught his ears was the sound of sniffling.

His curiosity got to him and reaching the last step, looked up to see a small child in blue in the center of the room, her knee scraped and tears welling in her eyes but she grimaced, her lips pressed against one another signaled that she didn't want to cry.

"Hey, sweetie..." he greeted in a hush. She looked up to see a new being.

"S-Sir...my knee....I hurt it!" She whimpered. "I got out of that m-Mirror....and I tripped on the way out!..." she pointed back to Octavinelle's mirror.

"Hey, hey, no tears!" He kneeled beside her, brushing them away. He smiled warmly, "Hey, tell you what? We can go back to my dorm and I can patch it up for you?"

She sniffles and murmured a yes.

Satisfied that he got the child's trust and permission, he swooped her up into his arms.

"C'mon! Let's get you all better! Maybe I'll show yo around with a little party!"

"And....done!" He stuck the bandaid over her scrape, cleaned and anointed with a natural herbal medicine to heal it faster. "All better!" He kisses her boo-boo like a mother does to their child. "A little kiss to make it better!"

"Th-thank you..." she smiled shyly.

"Oh, right. You don't know me! Kalim!" He smiles.

"Ch-Charlie...."

At once, Kalim felt his heart beat rush up.

"Wha-Charlie?!" He gasped, fixated on the now child that was the girl he befriended during the winter vacation.

"You didn't know?" Jamil appeared. "Her friends had a mishap in alchemy and she became a child because of them. Didn't you hear the rumors?"

"Well...I-I was going to see if they were true, but it turns out they are!" As quick as lightning, he glomped her in one of his famous hugs. "She's so adorable! She reminds of all my siblings when they were her age!"

"Just don't lose her and turn the place upside down. Remember the welcoming ceremony for the new students? The camels and peacocks?"

"Nah, it won't be like that! She's just a small child!" He nuzzled her. "We're gonna have a lot of fun, Charlie! You and me!" Kalim cheered as he ran off with her.

Jamil sighed. Let's just hope he doesn't get twice the headache.

"Hey, Jamil! Look!!" Kalim ran out towards the lounge with a smile so wide, he looked like a crocodile. From behind his back, he brought out Charlie, who was wearing the same beige and gold headwrap as him and a mini beige cardigan from his baby years. "Twinsies!"

"Where did you find that?" Jamil asked, looking up from his work.

"Under my bed! I was looking through my old baby clothes and I thought since Charlie's here for a while, why not take advantage of it?! Can't believe I still have these!" Kalim laughs, tickling Charlie who started laughing with him.

The second year leader put Charlie in his lap and started teaching her a small hand clapping game back in his child years, which she followed carefully and diligently, a small cherubic smile at her lips.
