Hey peeps.
So, with spring already here, it's time for yet another bonus event. Let's see how this one occurs....
Part 1: Call of the Wild
——————————
"Time for attendance!" Crowley calls out for order in the lecture hall, his eyes sweeping over the crowd of students as he checks his notes again. "For all the representatives of the sports clubs, please respond when called. The Equestrian Club?"
Riddle raises a hand, seated between the two Diasomnia knights. "Present."
"Track and Field?"
"Here!" Jack broke his conversation with Deuce to speak up, then go back into a hushed voice.
"Basketball?"
"All accounted for." Jamil nods as Ace and Floyd squirmed in their seats.
"And finally....Magift?" Crowley waits in the silence, but after no immediate response, looks up confused. "Hm? Are they not here?"
"N-N-N-No!" Ruggie stutters, stumbling to his feet in a panic as Epel froze. "We're here!!"
"Ah! Good then!" the bird man nods. "Everyone's in person!"
"Ugh, thank god...." the hyena sighed, flopping back in his seat. "We nearly got our asses scolded...." then he shoots a dirty look at Leona, whom was napping away without a shit to give. "You got a lotta balls napping the moment you sat down...." Ruggie starts to shake him a little violently, but the lion didn't arouse. "I can't even shake him awake!!"
"Now! Let us start!" Crowley called again. "All of you must be wondering why exactly you were called in here. I know it's sudden calling you in without a reason. But as of the following week, there will be a training camp going on in the mountains. It's called Camp Vargas! As requested by the coach, this will be a wilderness training regime that will go on for three days. And all who are involved in the sports clubs have to participate." Whispers of confusion swept the room, but Crowley shushed them. "Coach Vargas will go into detail and he rest is all on you."
"Listen up, Bean Sprouts!" Vargas boasts as he took Crowley's spot. "Night Raven's well known for having alumni who were involved in the sports of our school. And we were top ranked in all our games! All because you have learned from the best! But now I'm going to provide a way to help all of you improve yourselves more! And thus, this activity was put in the request box! As stated, this will go on for three days. You'll learn how to use your resources around you in nature while completing a list of tasks. It's likely you'll face roadblocks with those weak muscles of yours. But if you manage to overcome them, you'll be one step closer to becoming like yours truly! Well, even if all the steps may not be as easy for you as they are for me....so! In order to make sure all of you are motivated, I agreed with the headmaster to reward the students who succeed in your tasks."
"For the club to finish every task given by the end, you'll be given whatever you wish!" Crowley pops in.
" 'Anything....' For real?!" Ruggie smiles.
"Don't think about it!" Crowley shoots the second year a look. "That is NOT what I'm saying. There's actually a catch. It's impossible ton respond to every request given. The catch is that you can only request equipment beneficial to your club only!"
"Aww, damnit..." Ruggie sighed. "But equipment....actually, I've seen something like a automatic machine to polish magift discs in a catalog....the price to get that thing is pretty pricey. But since it's part of the guidelines, then it's counts!"

"At least being with Coach Vargas is better than being stuck with Vil." Epel murmured happily. "You may need an extras set of hands!"
"And one other thing." Vargas announces. "Should any of the clubs fail by the end of the time limit, you'll face disbandment. But don't worry, you'll get through these things unless you take it seriously. So show me what you're made of! And don't screw it up!"
"Disbandment...." Silver muttered. "I was going to just do what i could during this event but now this is just ridiculous."
"That may be YOUR case, Silver," Sebek countered. "But we've got a bigger problem! Should we go through with this, we'll be away from Malleus-Sama for three days straight! Riddle-senpai, I wish to take absence!"
"No you won't!" Riddle objected. "If the headmaster says to be a part of this, then you must abide his rules!"
"Are you kidding me?!"
"I'm not even worried about the tasks, cuz all I wanna do is go camping!" Ace smiled. "A nice warm campfire and toasting marshmallows~..."
"Huh? Lil Crab, what was...?" Floyd looks over in wonder only to break out into a smile. "Yea, that sounds pretty cool~! Kinda like seeing an angler fish light up! That's sounds nice!"
"You know the two of you are taking this lightly, but don't come crying to me when our club's shut down...." Jamil soured, being the only one taking this seriously.
"Actually, I used to go sleeping in a tent in the forest outside our home when my siblings and i were younger." Jack remembers. "As Vargas said, we can learn alot from nature."
"You make it sound easy when it's coming from you..." Deuce muttered, a little doubtful. "But staying in the woods for three days, can we even...?"
"ENOUGH!" Vargas yells. "It doesn't matter what lame excuse you're trying to make! You're getting involved and that's that!"
"....Oh my god, what the hell....?!" An annoyed lion's eyes snapped open and he looked around in anger. "Ruggie, who the fuck just screamed?"
"Man...you've got real bad timing.... Ruggie sighed. "Vargas is pretty pissed, so I wouldn't say anything if I were you...."
"Man, these guys are more stubborn than we thought..." Vargas muttered.
"Calm yourself, Vargas." Crowley assured. "Things may change once the three days have passed, no?"
"...True. Okay! Time to hand out the training camp handbooks! Read this page to page!" Vargas carried a stack of books with him as Crowley started to plan something.
———Day 1———
In the Mirror Chamber, all the participants of the sports clubs were gathered, all decked out in their PE gear and a few overnight bags slung on their shoulders.
"Is everybody here?" Riddle looks around, amking sure all faces of the Horseback Riding Club were here. Silver steps up,
"Not all of us. Sebek's running behind. He said we could go together, but then said Malleus wanted to speak to him...." then his eyes wnadered up to see a tall figure walking towards them bith and he perks up in confusion. "Never mind, he's here....?"
But Sebek was wearing something alot different than the crowd around him. He had a blue hoodie, matching gloves, gray pants, black hiking boots, and a long jacket the color of neon green with patches sewn onto the collar and outside of the jacket.
" 'Being raised in the Valley of Thorns living in the mountains will be quite the easy task and the Equestrian club is proud to have someone like you with them'. Or so Waka-sama claims. will heed his words to heart! Don't fret, young lord! I will- no, SHALL- I SHALL conquer every challenge thrown at me while leading every weak human in this club to victory!! And as a trusted retainer, I don't disappoint! I'll meet his expectations of me no matter what!" Riddle had to cover his ears from Sebek's inhumanly loud voice as Silver rolled his eyes.

Two more figures entered the room. One wore a leopard print shirt, bright orange jacket, black hjeans and ombat boots, with a saber tooth necklace swinging around his collarbone, long hair tied up into a mid-high ponytail.
"This is such bullshit....It's not that big a deal if one of us doesn't participate..." Leona groaned.
"Will you stop whining, Leona?" Ruggie elbowed him lightly. Aside from his third year, Ruggie had on a bright yellow sweatshirt with graphic print on the front, a visor, and black and grey scarf, basketball shorts and black boots. But he had a bright red backpack around his shoulders.
"It's mandatory for us to do this. 'Lest you wanna risk disbandment."
Floyd was the last person to arrive, but he was dressed a lot differently than the other three. A simple white Tshirt, black and white running pants with slip on sneakers. Hanging from his shoulders was a green and blue windbreaker and a fanny pack with an eel charm, and on his head was a teal sun visor.
"Hey Sea Snake! Lil Crab!" he greets, as the two before him gawked at him flaunting his stuff.
"U-Uh Floyd, what the hell are you...." Ace started, but kept staring bug-eyed.
"I know, right?" Floyd nods. "Got this yesterday! It's easy to move in, the fabric's durable, You gotta love this brand!" His eyes travel up to where Leona and Ruggie are and he comments, "Sea Lion, aren't your clothes from the same brand like mine? You too, lil sharksucker! Seems I'm no the only one who's ready for this!"
"You don;t look half-bad yourself~!" Ruggie snickered. "If anything, thank Leona for getting me this gear."
Don't pull that shit, you took some bills outta my wallet when I had my back turned." Leona scoffed, calling the hyena's bluff. "And as payback, you're getting triple the work from me."
"But it's worth it~!" Ruggie sang. "Just for the record, my workload's never gonna change with or without the new clothes."
"Hmph. Down jackets are likely to get torn in the woods due to all the low hanging in your faces." Sebek huffed, and shot a haughty smile. "If you're going to take this seriously, you should get the same equipment like me. Such as the rain jacket Lilia provided me with: strong durability and waterproof!"
"Well, obviously, you'd be two steps ahead." Leona smirks. "You should just cower in your tent if you're that much of a pussy taking on these challenges."
"What was that?!"
"Uh, Sebek, quick question." Jack puts a hand on his shoulder, tying to stop a fight from breaking out. "You sure it's fine to wear gear that's other than your PE uniform? And that goes for you three as well." he turns towards his seniors and the eel. "The four of you are stickin out like sore thumbs..."
"Eh...? And you've a problem with it?" Floyd's voice dropped an octave lower, signaling his anger was on the verge of breaking through. "I do what I want!"
"N-No!" Jack's voice wavered a she covered for his mistake. "Forget what I just said! What I meant is....It says in the rulebook to wear comfortable gear that's easy to move into."
"It didn't technically say the PE uniforms were required. For me honestly, I'd take this over my smelly ass gear in a day." Leona professed.
"For once....I agree with you." Sebek spat. "To add onto, Vargas never reprimanded us for wearing something other than our gear."
"To be fair, I'd have thought everyone would try and do what we tried..." Ruggie mumbled. "Since this thing's going on for the next three days, the uniforms are too thin. That ain't gonna hold up against the mountainous terrain and forces."
"He's got a point!" Epel thought. "Man, if only I thought ahead of time..."
"They're right." Silver called out. "It doesn't say anywhere in the booklet to wear the sports gear. And I'm more surprised you even found a loophole in that rule, Sebek."
"Hmph! Well, unlike you, don't lack concentration!" Sebek brags.
"Alright! Is everyone here and accounted for?" Vargas finally entered the room. "We'll be heading to Dwarf Mountain this instant!"
"H-Huh?! What was that...?!" Deuce shook as he heard the name. And Ace, for once, shared his fear.
"H-He can't be-!"
"Dark Mirror! To Dwarf Mountain!"
——————————
As soon as their eyes landed on the familiar Cottage from that night, the two got PTSD flashbacks.
"I knew there was something connected to this...."
"To think we'd see it again...."
"Eh? What's eatin ya? You been here, guys?" Floyd asked.
"Yep. And with Charlie and Grim." Deuce didn't deny.
"But it's all deserted. Not sure why you came here in the first place....Maybe you guys are like Jade? He loves mountainous areas! When I told him what I'd be up to for the next few days, he kept griping about how the stuff we're doing is similar to his shtick. You know, yo can pass the invite to him if you come here again!"
"W-Well, uh... That's nice and all, but...we'll have to decline." Ace chuckled, his voice an octave higher to signal his fear. "And no way in all hell can Deuce take it on either. And speaking of, he cried like a baby when we got here!"
"Stop spewing lies!" Deuce hit his shoulder. "If anything, Grim was the crybaby! Charlie protected your ass the most so be grateful your still alive!"
"...True." Ace sighed, remembering Charlie destroying the monster from the caves. The instant he saw her take that thing down the first time without magic, it changed his perspective of her slightly. But when she unleashed her magic that vanquished the creature, that when he became a bit scared for his life. Now with her ever growing magic of unknown origin, making her stronger than before, he keeps his best not to get on her bad side. Lest he want a repeat of the 'punishment'. "...but you gotta admit, Grim's scared face made up for it!"
Feeeeeew-BONK!
"OW!" Deuce covered his head where he felt a sharp pain hit the back. "What was-!?"
Feeeeeew-BONK!
"AGH! HEY!" Ace yelled, looking down to see that it was a rock that hit his head, and another for Deuce. "Who threw that?!" he looked up, pissed.
"I thought I smelled a rat! Or two!" a familiar voice sneered. The two boys felt their blood freeze as they turn behind to see a petite figure stalk out from the trees, looking clearly pissed. When she appeared in the light, their hearts felt lodged in their throats.
"Ch-Charlie!!!"
"Bout time you eggheads got here! How long you gonna keep us waiting?!" A smaller figure pokes his head out behind her leg to glare at them.
"G-Grim??!" Ace shrieked.
"Why are you guys here too?!" Deuce demands.
"Why do YOU think?" Charlie reiterated, annoyed.
"It was me whom requested them!" Crowley appears beside Charlie, smiling without a care in the world. "I asked Charlotte to not only be your photographer, but also to keep you guys in check! It's what she's best at!"
"S-So...it's just the two of you?" Ace looked between them both.
"Not exactly...." Charlie smirked.
"Charlie~!" a familiar blonde headed girl glomped her from behind, smiling a thousand-watt smile.
"Sol!" Deuce perked up at seeing the familiar sister of the duo. "You're joining?!"
"Of course, Deucey~!" she laughed. "Plus, it's a great way to get away from my stuffy sister and enjoy the great outdoors!" Which is most of the truth. In actuality, the day Crowley went to visit and "request" Charlie join in on the retreat, the sisters could smell deception in his words. So they hatched a plan: Sol had promised Luna to protect Charlie and train her to grow her magic more as well as keeping an eye on her. Plus, with that request, she oh so sweetly "threatened" Crowley with releasing the video about Jamil's deceit to the public as retaliation for Charlie being "threatened", and he 'gave her permission' to join. Leaving Luna to watch over the dorm while the two were away. Not that she had a choice in the matter, but who cares??
"Plus, we get to capture the moments when you two fail horribly~!" Grim chuckled.
"Ugh, well now this just got worse..." Ace groaned.
"Besides! Vargas has seen her skills with Hapkido and wants her to be a prime example towards you guys: that magic isn't everything when it comes to power and raw strength!" Sol backs up.
"Indeed! A prime example of how she can rely on her instincts and skills without using magic everyday!" Crowley sings. "And, the mine Ghosts can be her eagles eyes if anything goes awry!"
"We're at her beck and call~~~~" three appear beside Charlie with eerie smiles. But now that the two boys had gotten a better look at Charlie and Sol, they realized both girls were wearing similar camping outfits! Sleeveless shirts, yoga pants, running shoes, and windbreakers! And of course: scrunchies: with one having her hair tied into a low bun while the other with a simple long ponytail.
Charlie's gear was more towards the turquoise pallette, with some hints of pink....

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
