You were surprisingly calm about finding out your girlfriend was a zombie. You had had your suspicions that something was going on for a little while, not that you thought she was a zombie but now it was pretty obvious. It baffled you as to how you had missed all of signs but nevertheless you were just glad to have her in your life and it wasn't like she was hurting people like you imagined a lot would.
Although you knew what she was and it did take a little to wrap your head around seen as zombies were meant to be mindless creatures from horror stories, you hadn't had the heart to tell her you knew. You didn't know how many people she told or even if she had told anyone, so you would keep her secret, even from her until she either decided to tell you or you happened upon something that was almost certainly proof that even an idiot couldn't deny.
You weren't expecting to have to talk to her about it today though. As you entered your apartment, Liv hadn't heard you, so as you walked into the kitchen, she was just eating a brain out of an old Tupperware pot. It was a little bit gross to see her eating brains, but it was what she needed to survive but she could at least make a meal of it as you knew she had done before.
"Hey, we aren't animals here, let me make you something," you demanded heading over to the cupboard to look to see what you had that you could use her brains to make somewhat of a meal for her.
Liv looked up at you, a fearful expression before she realised how calmly you were acting about the situation, something that you shouldn't do if you had no idea about zombies existing.

"Wait... you're not freaking out?" She said, confused.
"I know that you're a zombie Liv," you smiled softly. "Have done for a while, I just thought I'd wait until you told me but seen as you were eating a brain, I can't really hide that. As far as I am concerned though, you're still Olivia Moore."
A gentle smile curled onto her face as you pulled out some pasta and hot sauce from the cupboard.
"You don't hate me?" She asked.
You shook your head. "You had no control over it, you're doing everything in your power to not hurt people and I admire that. I still love you Liv, nothing can change that, not even your change in diet."

Kingdom of Ice
"170 years ago, in a world where humans have evolved such that they could live on the ocean floor, and form cities there, Commandant Franklin led a hunting party on a reconaissance expedition north, traveling from the outer edge of the Indian Ocean, all the way to the High Arctic. His goal: to find the fabled Northwest Passages for the Vicegerent of Tridention, and establish business with underwater arctic cities there. But the expedition went awry, and they never returned. Everyone in the party was presumed dead. Until now. When two of the hunters from that same expedition find their way back to Tridention after all these years, Watson, a retired commandant for one of Tridention's thirty-five hunting parties, agrees to help those hunters form a ragtag party of their own, against their leadership's wishes, and travel all the way back to the same Northwest Passages to recover the rest of the hunting expedition. The hope is that their commandant, and other hunters, are somehow still alive and can be brought back home safely. "

The Goddess of Death's Champion
Eliot and Cel start off the same as any other peasant and climb their way to the heavens. At least, that's what a cheesy hook might say, however, Eliot and Cel have always had the attention of the Gods, Eliot longer than Cel but by no God more important. Even if it is their destiny to achieve legend status, they started out some where, and with only the semblance of a head start, not to mention that it makes for an interesting story. (If you decided to read because of a specific tag, some of them only show up later on in the story. I should also mention that romance is a significant focus but there is no romance tag besides the one in genre)
