"Lili, we need to talk." Cole told her.
"Oh of course love, what do you want to talk about?" Lili said.
"Not now, come by my place today at 5," Cole said, his intentions not clear yet.
"Okay, baby, love you," Lili said cheerfully, clearly having no idea what will come later on.
Later, at 5 pm exactly, she was knocking on his door, a bright smile on her face. He opened it and she leaned in to give him a kiss but he avoided it, moving out of the way to let her in.
"So what exactly did you want to talk to me about?" she asked him, her eyes glancing up to his.
"Um...I kind of met someone else, and I really really like her. I'm sorry Lili, but I don't love you anymore, I don't want to be with you." Cole said, not glancing up at her, just looking at the floor.
"You...you lost feelings for me?" Lili said, surprised, her eyes tearing up.
"I'm truly sorry, can we be friends?" Cole said, sounding heartless.
"I can't even look at you anymore. You..you..you promised you would never leave me and now you suddenly say you don't love me anymore? I lost everything, everything, for you and now you decide I'm not worth it?" Lili says, standing up and wiping her tears.
"Lili, please--" Cole begs.
"No, don't say my name, I'm leaving now," Lili said.
and she did.

Lili wakes up, panting, her breath too fast, causing her sleeping boyfriend to wake up beside her, extremely worried.
"What, Lili? Are you okay?" Cole asked worryingly, his sleepiness all gone the second he saw the love of his life's beautiful crying eyes.

"yes, I'm fine. Just had a bad dream" Lili said, reassuring him.
He rubbed his hands down her arms and asked her what the dream was about in a soft, smooth voice. She teared up again because of how much he cared about her.
After she told him what the nightmare was about, he looked at her in all seriousness.
"Lili, do you really think I'd ever break up with you? You're the love of my life, the person who'd been there for me more than everyone else combined. I'm not one of those people who say 'I want to spend my life with you' then break up with you in a second. If there's anything I'm sure about in this messy life, it's you, Lili. So please, Lili Pauline Reinhart, don't ever for a second doubt my love for you ever again, because I love you more than anything."
Lili nodded, and he kissed her passionately then pulled her into his arms once again, considering himself the luckiest guy in the world to have the most beautiful girl in the world in his arms and call her his.
His, he would never get tired of calling her that, and he didn't want to, she was his, and he was hers, hopefully forever.

The Rocky Shore
This is a LitRPG series. Every story you read here takes place in the same virtual world, with the same rules and limitations. Characters will travel, explore vast and dangerous realms, overcome obstacles, meet one another, enter into conflicts with one another, forge alliances, make horrible mistakes, and occasionally just die. A technological singularity has been achieved, and humanity has been trapped in a virtual world by a super-intelligent, self-improving artificial intelligence. This program is not malicious at all. In fact, it desires nothing except the happiness and fulfillment of every human it has copied into itself. If its decisions seem strange to you, that's only because its reasoning is far beyond ours. It recognizes that humans cannot be happy without enemies to overcome and goals to achieve, as well as the possibility of failure and death. The world it has created may be heaven or hell, depending on the free choices of the people it contains. The non-player characters who live in this realm have no idea that they are part of a vast computer system. They seem real enough, but there is no way to tell if they are truly self-aware. Even the system that created them isn't certain. This is world in which all the things that humans are used to dealing with in the abstract: skills, talents, knowledge, reputation, social status, morality, even love, exist as readable statistics that players can see and interact with objectively. This has many curious and complex effects on how people perceive themselves and the world around them. A few quick notes on the system: -Death is permanent -The system interface can only be accessed at certain locations. -Magic of diverse kinds is available and useful, but is not a good substitute for skills, physicallity, or mental prowess. Non-magical characters are common and competitive. -There is no inventory system. Characters must physically carry everything they wish to have on their person. -Healing is slow and difficult. Magical Healing is all but unheard of. Protagonists: Raymond Garrison- A man in his late twenties who used to work as a forklift operator in Idaho. His path leads him to work as a mercenary, protecting a small community of humans and goblins from the Seelie Fae who wish to exterminate them. Patricia Chandler- A elderly British woman who arrives in this new world with her grandson Kyle and her granddaughter Elizabeth. Never having dealt with rpg game mechanics before, she is in for a rough time, but she is determined to keep her grandkids alive in a world full of danger and evil. Jamil Mesbah- An Egyptian woman who once worked as a technical writer. Her path leads into a vast and hostile forest, where she must master both her magical abilities and her survival skills in order to succeed. Enjoy your travels, friends.

Bleached Nightmare
500 years into the future, technological progress has stagnated. Wracked by a series of problems like climate change, lack of resources and the innate human lust for war, the geopolitical landscape of planet Earth is radically different, and quality of life is far from what it was in the past. While technical development and research into realistically feasible space travel has made leaps and bounds, this has come at the cost of a world that is reeling from centuries of technical stagnation in other aspects of life. The establishment of a mining colony on Mars has led to the discovery of a new, rare material called sarinium; though it is extremely tensile and durable, it has a very low melting point. The discovery of this metal leads to large mechanical infantry- dubbed 'Spirit Striders', they are six to ten meters tall and as famed for the pride they provide a nation as they are a lethally mobile heavy weapons platform. The story follows the character of Marilin, who must both figure the enigma that is her past, and what this means for her allegiances in the future. Despite her genetically physical frailty, she seeks to gain power through a vessel that will channel her wish to change the world- the Spirit Strider. --- I hope you all enjoy my work. This is a story that I began writing over four years ago in my beginning years of high school, and have cast aside unfinished in the past two years. Though it is not up to my current standards, I hope you all may find some enjoyment in it. Happy reading.
