《How I Survived (Zombie Story)》Chapter Twenty Seven

A huge, huge crowd of zombies, wondered around the stone wall. I felt my stomach deepen. There were so many... At least a thousand... "Don't pass out, trust me... I did.." She whispered.
We both got off the chair and she sat on the bed, and I paced back and forth. Hunter, Jone... Bella... Lucy... Sammy! Where are they?! Where is Olivia?!!
"How long are we gonna be in here?" I ask, losing my mind.
"Uh. As soon as they let out.." Miranda says.
"Ugh.." I whisper. "I'm scared." I blurt. "Same.." She whispers.
"I had to sleep in the woods, I had to stab a guy, and watch a guy get eaten... It was pretty scary.." I tell her.
"Oh.."
"And for some reason... I'm glad I didn't escape..." I say. She looks at me like I'm crazy. "Because I wouldn't be here with you... And I wouldn't survive on my own." I explain.
"You're so right.." She says, "Because who wouldn't want to be with me?" She asks and laughs. I laugh too, but the moment is gone, and it's back to pacing back and forth, waiting and waiting.
"Is it dark?!" I blurt.
"Calm down... It's only been like.. 10 minutes.."
"Oh.."
"But it's almost dark." She says. The groans of the zombies were louder, and I found out that I was losing my mind.
Suddenly the door opened. Joe, of all people, was standing there. His arm was bandaged from the stab, and he held a shotgun in his hand.
"Hello, ladies." He says. I look at Miranda.
"Who is this guy? Do you know this Justin Bieber wannabe?" Miranda asks. "Not the moment for jokes.." I whisper to her. She nods and shrugs.

"Listen, your friend already tricked me once. I'm not falling for anything else. If I do, you guys are being kicked out of this place. And from what I've seen on the camera, you already discovered the zombie courtyard right?"
Miranda and I look at each with the same thoughts: camera?!
"Right.," Miranda says. What's on her mind..? I thought silently. "Cut to the chase.. Where the heck are we?" She asks.
"Don't worry about it fresh meats." He says.
"And you!" He said, pointing at me. "Have that uniform on in 30 minutes." He commands and leaves, slamming the door.
"Now get that uniform on, so we can be ready for whatever the heck is coming our way," Miranda says.
Miranda stands on the chair and glances at the zombie crowd. I remove my dirt covered jeans, the one I recently got from the Walmart we had camped at, and I removed the shirt with the words Ice on it. I throw it on the floor and touch the necklace I still had on...
I wasn't taking it off.
I put on my uniform and buttoned it up. I slipped on the boots that were set in the corner.
The door opens. It was the short man again.
"Let's go!" He says.
Miranda looks at me, her eyes meeting mine. It was time to see what we had been pulled into.
We were forced out of the room. The hallway was no longer dark, but lights lit up the stone hallway. The short man led us down the hallway.
The groans of the walkers were still audible through the walls. Miranda walked beside me, her eyes straight ahead.
We reached a set of double doors, and the short man opened them. There was a huge open courtyard, about as big as two football fields.

Camps were set in random places, people were in different camps, eating, talking, and some were laying on the dirt grounds sleeping. It was already dark, and torches lit up the courtyard. All of the people, wore gray yellow uniforms, the children, the babies, the elders, the teenagers, everyone.
I could see beyond the huge campgrounds, I could see a huge fence, higher than the building. Zombies groaned, trying to get on, moaning to get in.
"Where are we...?" I ask the man.
"Don't worry about it." He says and walks through the double doors. The doors slam, and locked.
"Let's find them!" I say. Miranda nods and we take off into the huge crowd of camps, and markets.
Miranda stops me. "Who are we looking for?" She asks.
"I don't know.. Let's split up, you go that way, and I'll go this way." I say. She nods and runs the other way.
I walk the other way, staring at all of the people. So many people... Was it just me and Miranda from the group? Could Jone be here?
I felt dizzy. I placed a hand on my forehead. And then I saw a guy with brown long hair similar to Jone's. It had to be him.. I braced myself as he slowly turned around.
He turned around. No.. It wasn't him...
My stomach deepened again.
A hand touched my shoulder, "Hunter!" I shout. No. It was just Miranda. "EVERYONE! Special announcement!" A loud voice says into a microphone.
We walk over to the small stage where everyone was crowded.
An Asian man was standing there, his eyes glaring at the crowd. The torchlight reflected off of his solemn face.
The short man was standing beside him.
And then, out of the middle of nowhere people gasp. A zombie was being pulled by a chain, to the stage.
A kid in front of us said, "It's only been a month in this apocalypse and they already figured out how to chain one! These people are smart."
We both look at each other. "As you can see! We are already controlling them!" The Asian man says.
Everyone cheers. "We are going to make this place, the target on the map. In a good way. Everyone is going to want to be safe here, we have food, we have homes, we have space... And most of all. We have scouts!"
Everyone cheered again. Once again, me and Miranda exchange glances.
A bunch of teenagers, our age, and some adults, file in a line on the stage. They wave at the people they know in the crowd. Joe and Luis, were there, glaring at me and Miranda.
"And we have newer scouts!!"
Another line files in, they looked less happy. As if they were forced.
And there they were. Lucy, Ricko, Jone, Sammy... Kyle and Beverly. My eyes widened as they notice us. They just stared back at us, unable to yell out. Where was Hunter?! My heart sped up.
Miranda elbowed me. "What the heck is this place?"

Keep Your Pants On! I'm Trying to Study!
TL;DR - I transmigrated into Hentai World, but I just want to study and solve the mystery behind my new brother’s alien-like behavior. For funsies, Hanna used to watch old and new hentai to riff on the animation and plots... If she’d known that it would be the cause of her transmigration to the ultimate hentai world as a bystander, she may have refrained. The good news was that she could study on her cheap parent’s dime to get into a good university, and hopefully earn a degree for her astronomer dream job. The only issue was that everywhere she walked, she’d run into main characters in awkward situations. And she also had to face the biggest question of them all, why was her new brother acting so strange? The RR version has no actual smut scenes. All smut will be for comedic purposes (and not detailed). All detailed smut will be yeeted to Patreon for those interested. This is the author’s secret side-side-side project... Updates every Sunday (at least), and sometimes Monday. Special thanks to NASA for having an image library that is free to use!

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
