NO POV

The gang just entered the school. The entrance didn't look different, but beyond that it was like a different world. The hall was covered in a black substance.

Roman: Looks like we just found the gates to hell.

Aaron: I recon that's the entrance to the dragon.

Ruby: Come on, we cant waste anymore time.

They were about to go down the hall but were stopped by 4 tendrils and a single large tendril. From the ceiling jumped down Emerald and Mercury. Their right eyes red and black.

Mercury: Sorry, but this is as far as you go.

Emerald and Mercury lunged at the group, but Quill and Maria stepped in. Blocking them.

Quill: GO, we can handle this!

Ruby: But-

Ruby was grabbed by Yang and everybody ran inside. Leaving only Emerald, Maria, Mercury, and Quill.

Quill: You sure you can do this?" Quill asked Maria"

Maria: I may be old, but I remember how to throw down.

She pressed a button on her cane and it turned into a sickle.

Emerald: It's so much fun to fight at Atlas!

They all charged at each other. Emerald whipped her tendrils around and tried to hit Quill, but Quill managed to block each strike. Emerald attacked with all 4 of her tendrils, but Quill blocked her. She then threw Emerald back and rushed forwards. She kicked Emerald in the chest and she hit the wall. She fell to the ground as Quill approached her.

Emerald: Please don't hurt me.

Quill jumped out of the way as 4 tendrils came out of Emerald's torso.

Quill: That trick wont work twice.

Emerald gave a sinister smile as Quill swung towards. She stabbed Emerald in her face.

Meanwhile Maria was fighting Mercury.

Mercury: Hey granny.

Mercury attacked with his large tendril. Maria would either jump over it or ducked. When she got close enough she slashed Mercury's face. Mercury stumbled back but he resumed his attacks. Maria charged once again and slashed Mercury across his chest. Mercury fell to the ground but quickly got up. However Maria appeared right behind Mercury and put him in a choke hold. Mercury struggled against her grip, but Maria held on tight. Eventually she snapped his neck. Mercury fell to the ground limp.

Quill: Gotta say, these kids put up a better fight at Haven.

Maria: QUILL BEHIND YOU!

It was too late, multiple tendrils slammed into Quill, sending her flying into the wall. Quill was knocked out. Standing there was Emerald, all healed up.

Emerald: You guys have improved since we met at Haven. I wish this fight could go on but I got places to be so I'll speed things up.

A red light emitted from Emerald as a gust of wind appeared. There was a huge dust cloud. When it cleared, Maria came face to face with this monster.

Emerald:

Maria: I should've minded my own business back on that train.

The creature swung it's fist and tried to smash Maria, but she dodged. The creature then repeatedly swung it's fist, but thanks to Maria's semblance she was able to dodge. It became a game of cat and mouse, the large creature trying to grab the small Maria.

Emerald:

The creature tried to grab Mari, but Mari got away.

Maria(thought): I cant out run this thing forever.

As Maria was thinking a giant fist punched her, sending her flying. When Maria got up she was bleeding from her lip and forehead. Maria charged, only to get swatted away. Maria quickly got up and jumped out of the way of an incoming fist. She once again dodged another fist but didn't see a third fist punch her once again. Maria was flying again and lied on the ground. Emerald approached her and raised her fist. She swung down but her fist was cut off. She turned and saw Quill standing there.

Quill: I'm not done.

Quill charged, only to be punched in the gut by the creature. She flew upwards and when she came down the creature appeared below her. She landed in it's mouth and was swallowed.

Emerald:

Just then Mercury got back up.

Mercury: He y what happened, I blacked out?

Emerald:

Mercury: Yah whatever, hey can I eat the old lady?

Emerald:

Mercury approached the defeated Maria. All of a sudden a blade came out of the creature's gut. The blade moved upwards and sliced open the creature. Blood came rushing out as the creature deflated. Emerald detached herself from the creature. From the belly of the creature, Quill emerged.

Emerald: My infamous body, YOU RUINED IT!

Mercury jumped into the air with his blade. Quill jumped out of the way. Emerald charged with a single tendril.

Emerald: I'm gonna turn you into meatballs!

Emerald attacked Quill, Quill blocked with her sword. However she didn't see Mercury hit her with his tendril. Quill got knocked into the dead creature. Emerald and Mercury charged.

Emerald+Mercury: TAKE THIS!

They swung their tendrils at Quill, creating a cloud of dust.

Emerald: Did we get her?

When the dust cleared, Maria was standing in front of Quill with two holes in her chest. She took the blow for Quill.

Maria: Finish this.

Maria fell to the ground, Quill nodded. She then turned her sword into it's scythe form. Mercury summoned his wings and fired shards. Quill twirled her scythe around and blocked all of the shards. She was then in front of Mercury, she swung her scythe and cut him open. Blood spewed out. Quill then kicked Mercury hard enough that he was sent flying out a window. This just left only Quill and Emerald.

Emerald: Damn you actually defeated Mercury.

Quill charged at Emerald, Emerald created three tendrils. Quill sliced off the three tendrils. Emerald created more tendrils but Quill sliced those off as well.

Quill: It doesn't matter how, many tendrils you create. I'M GOING TO WIN!

Quill then appeared in front of Emerald.

Emerald: Oh crap.

Quill swung her scythe and severed Emerald's head from her body. Emerald fell to the ground as Quill approached Emerald's head.

Emerald: See ya.

Quill swung down once again and cut Emerald's head in half, killing her. Quill then walked over to Maria and knelt down.

Maria: You did it Quill.

Quill: Yah I did.

Maria spat out blood.

Maria: Quill let me tell you something. Your son may hate you now, but he'll forgive someday. I promise.

Quill smiled.

Quill: Thanks.

The lights in Maria's eyes began to dim.

Maria: It's been an awesome last adventure.

The lights in her eyes faded away. Quill stood up and stared down the hallway.

Quill: Good luck...to all of you.
