In the middle of the forest in Haven sat Jaune and Sage. Sage brought Jaune out here for some more training.

Jaune: Remind me why you brought me all the way out here when we could have just stayed at the academy.

Sage: It's better for today's training.

Jaune: Which is?

Sage: Your semblance.

Jaune had a look of confusing on his face.

Jaune: My semblance?

Sage: Yes, your semblance. A semblance is the offensive form of someone's aura. Everybody has a semblance.

Jaune: If so what's yours?

Sage: Mine is called Lockdown, it allows me to make objects or people stay in the position they are in. However it only works on solid ground.

Jaune: How do I unlock mine?

Sage: It requires concentration, thus why I brought us out here.

Jaune: Simple enough, so what do I do?

Sage: First close your eyes and relax your body.

Jaune and Sage then both closed their eyes.

Sage: Slowly breath in and out. Take time to feel the air flow through your lungs, feel it flow through your body, feel it replenish your body. Imagine everything around you. Imagine aura flowing through every living thing. Now imagine something from your past, something that triggers a deep emotion within you.

Jaune started to remember his life at Beacon. How everyone hated him, how is friends forgot about him and how his own teammates abandoned him. His thoughts were soon filled with anger. He could feel it course through his body. He felt his body heat up, tense up. And suddenly he felt nothing. He felt calm and clear, as if he was floating in the air. When he opened his eyes he saw that Sage's eyes were wide. Jaune didn't know why until he lifted up his hand. It was coated in a yellow energy. Jaune observed the rest of his body and noticed it was covered too.

Jaune: What is this?

Sage got up and walked over to Jaune. When he reached him he knelt down.

Sage: This energy, this is aura.

Jaune: This is my aura?

Sage: Yes, however the only time you ever see your aura is when you run out of it. I think your semblance is aura enhancer.

Jaune: Aura enhancer?

Sage: Yes, you can greatly increase and strengthen your own aura enough to materialize it.

Jaune: That's cool.

Sage: Try picking up your sword.

Jaune picked up his sword and immediately it became encased in aura, making it more powerful.

Jaune: This is so cool!

Sage then put an arm on Jaune's shoulder and smiled.

Sage: I'm proud of you Jaune, you managed to unlock your semblance on the first try. I took me multiple times to unlock mine. You're going to be a great huntsmen one day.

Jaune started to blush due to Sage's comment.

Jaune: Thank you.

Sage got up and gestured for Jaune to follow him.

Sage: Come on, I'll buy you whatever you want for lunch.

With this Jaune quickly got up and went over to Sage's side.
