NO POV

The trip back to Haven Academy was a quiet one. The whole team was silent, which was very weird. An uneasy feeling lingered in the air, coming from Jaune and Sage. The others ended up cringing from how awkward it was. Yet, they didn't know why the duo felt weird.

Right after Jaune and Sage were freed from the rock pile the rescuers rushed over to them. They took the two boys over with the rest of the team to be examined. Once they found that there was no serious injuries they let the team go and were currently on the way home.

Jaune and Sage haven't spoken a word to each other since they were freed. Hell, they barely were looking at each other. The events that happened underneath the rock pile still was in their minds. Both unable to process what had happened and unsure of what to say next.

Eventually yhey arrived back at Haven. By the time they got back it was night time. It was a clear night with no clouds and the shattered moon being fully visible. It was glowing bright enough to light up the night. All in all, it was a lovely night.

Once the bull head landed they all got out and headed towards the dorms. It was almost midnight which meant no one was around. They walked back in silence, however Jaune stopped as soon as he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around and saw it was from Sage. Sage gestured for him and Jaune to go over to a more secluded area and Jaune confirmed. Meanwhile the others kept walking without knowing the two had left.

Sage lead Juane over to the edge of a cliff. Beyond the cliff was the rest of the city. The two stood there for a few minutes, continuing not knowing what to say. That was until Jaune managed to spit something out.

Jaune:.......so.......should we start talking beacuse this is getting really awkward.

Sage: Sorry, I just couldnt find the words to say.

Jaune: You and me both.

There was another brief silence.

Sage: So what about what happened in that cave....

Jaune: Did you really mean what you said?

Sage just stared at Jaune.

Jaune: Did you really mean what you said?

Sage simply replied by grabbing Jaune's hand.

Sage: Jaune, if it wasnt for you we wouldnt have gotten out of there. You may not be the strongest warrior but you have improved a lot since I first met you. The things that happened back at Beacon, forget about it. Screw everyone there, the people here at Haven have treated you like a friend.

Jaune: And about that kiss?

A feint blush appeared on Sage's checks.

Sage: I meant every bit of it.

Jaune smiled.

Jaune: Sage, you have been the kindest person to me every since I started my journey to become a huntsmen. While others looked down on me you've held me up. While others saw flaws you've helped me to get past them. You're actions have made me fall for you.

Jaune and Sage were now staring each other straight in the eyes. Sage raised his hand to Jaune's face and held it.

Sage: I've fallen for you to, Jaune Arc.

And with that their faces slowly came closer to each other until they kissed. They took their time with this one, savoring every second it. The kissed started out as slow but soon more passion was thrown into the mix. Next they were exploring each others mouths and fighting for dominance. This was new to both of them but they decided to just go with the flow. All the while stars started to shine, making it appear like a dream. But this was real, and these two would be sure to cherish this memory forever.
