Salem looked around the room until her eyes fell upon Emerald. Emerald saw this and tried to run, but in the blink of an eye Salem had the girl in her grasp. Emerald froze with terror.

Salem: You've been honing that of yours haven't you?

Ren opened fire on Salem, which didn't affect her. She launched a magic blast at him, but Pyrrha jumped in front of Ren and used her shield to protect the both of them. Yang charged and planted multiple explosives on Salem and detonated them. Salem's chest blow up causing her, however the wound healed shut. A strand of black goo shot out and ensnared Yang; Salem then started dragging the girl towards her.

From Salem's blind spot, Pyrrha appeared. She swung her sword several times, but Salem managed to dodge each strike despite not being able to use her hands. A shockwave of magic managed to knock the Pyrrha back. But while she was occupied with Pyrrha, she let herself open to Oscar's own magic blast.

Oscar: Let them go!

Pyrrha got back up but Salem tossed Yang at her, causing both to fall back down.

Salem: Enough!

Magic circles appeared beneath everyone. From the circles grim hands were conjured and ensnared everyone. Salem pinned Emerald against the wall and charged a ball of magic.

Salem: What did you do with the lamp?

Emerald: N....nothing.

Salem brought the ball of magic closer to Emerald, who tired to move back.

Salem: The lamp is missing, where is it?

Emerald: I swear, I didn't do anything with it.

Salem decided to turn her attention to the rest of the group, specifically Oscar.

Salem: Look at you, how far you have diminished. You've lessened yourself, and all for these children and this breaking world.

She grabbed Oscar by the face, who was now freaking out.

Salem: Why...do...you...keep...coming...back?

???: YOU MEAN OLD WITCH!

Salem turned to look at the one who said that, which was none other than little Jaune Jr. The sorceress smiled.

Salem: Aren't you brave little one.

Salem approached the boy. Now it was Pyrrha's turn to become terrified; scared as to what Salem was about to do to her son. Jr was freed from his binds, only to be snatched up by the witch.

Salem: I'll admit after everything you have been through, a didn't expect there still to be a fire within you. I guess that's something you and your father have in common, you just love to get yourselves killed.

Pyrrha: SHUT UP DAMN YOU! You have no right to talk about him. He may have been weak, but he never hesitated to help anyone. He always thrived to be stronger, and to be a hero. Someone as sinister as you could never understand him.

At that statement Salem chuckled.

Salem: How sweet, remains me of the fairy tales I read as I grew up. .

She then gained a dark look as s sphere of magic appeared in her hand, causing Pyrrha to flinch back.

Salem: I'll just put an end to this story right now. Be glad you don't get to see what I plan on doing to this world.

Everyone started to freak out, none more than Jr. But before she had a chance to fire her attack, something severed her arm. Salem cried out in pain.

???: Hurts like a bitch doesn't it?

Angry, the witch turned around and saw a figure standing there.

Salem(thought): How was I unable to sense him?

Salem: And just who you might be, are you one of them?

BK: You can simply call me the Black Knight. While I don't personally know the others, it's my duty as a huntsman to slay any grimm I came across.

The black knight brandished his sword; Salem smirked.

Salem: To me you're just another foolish hero.

She sent a magic blast at him which impacted him dead on. However when the smoke cleared, it was revealed that a barrier of light was around him.

BK: I'm not your average person.

Faster than Salem anticipated, the black knight charged and began his assault. He swung several times, Salem managed to dodge but just barely. She leapt backwards and conjured dozens of grimm arms to grab him. The knight easily sliced the limbs apart.

Salem unleashed a barrage of magical blast, the black knight in return fired his own projectiles of light. The two began a series and firing and dodging their own attacks.

Salem: Impressive powers, is that your semblance or are you perhaps another magic user.

BK: It's more fun to keep you guessing.

He held is sword up high, and from it a blinding light engulfed the room. The next thing Salem saw was the black knight in front of her, who then preceded to stab her in the abdomen. He swung upwards and severed her body, he didn't stop there though. He kept slashing a hacking, cutting her body up into dozens of pieces.

Despite the fact her body was torn apart, Salem managed to fight back. Several magic circles appeared around the two, and from them dozens of grim arms grabbed onto the knight. The knight's sword was then covered in light as he swung around, ripping the arms apart. By then Salem had managed to regrow her arm and then slammed it against the ground.

A great gust knocked the knight back. Salem didn't stop there, as she then conjured giant stalagmites to skewer him. The knight launched several slashes of light and destroyed the pillars. He then jumped high into the air with his sword held high. As he came down Salem jumped out of the way; the force of his attack caused the ground to shatter.

It was then Salem noticed someone else was in the room, Hazel.

Salem: Ah Hazel good, I want you to take the boy back to his cell while I deal with this whelp. As take Emerald with you, I still have questions for her.

The black knight ran over to Oscar, but a stone wall got in his way. As the two continued their battle, Hazel approached Oscar.

Emerald: Hazel, don't do this.

Hazel picked up Oscar and got close to his ear.

Hazel(whispers): No more Gretchen's.

Salem was so distracted from her fight with the knight, she didn't notice that Hazel was now right behind her. He preceded to deliver a powerful punch, right to her head, sending her flying back. However she didn't hit the ground, for she created a tornado allowing her to hover. Hazel stood beside the knight.

Hazel: Look, I don't know who you are and you don't know me. But right now our only chance of survival is working together.

BK: Agreed.

Hazel took off his shirt and and stabbed himself with several dust crystals, supercharging him.

Hazel: All of you go now!

Emerald look hesitant but after a reassuring look from Hazel she finally left.

Salem: So you have decided against justice for your sister.

Hazel: I'm doing what she would have wanted.

Salem: Very well, I'll just have to kill both of you then.

Salem fired a barrage of magical blast at them, the two ran around as they fired their own projectiles. The black knight with his light beams and Hazel who used a combination of fire and earth dust. The black knight launched a large slash of light at Salem, who managed to dodge it. The attack however distracted her as Hazel stabbed a wind dust into the ground, launching him into the air.

In the air, Hazel created a giant boulder with shards sticking out and slammed it into Salem. He landed an top of her and landed blow after blow. A magical circle appeared beneath them as grimm arms grabbed onto Hazel and hoisted him high up. That's when the black knight reappeared and severed the arms, freeing Hazel.

As the two continued to fight, the others took this chance to get away. Pyrrha, who now had Jr in her arms, stopped as she saw Oscar watching the battle.

Pyrrha: Oscar what are you doing?

Oscar: We can't just leave them.

Pyrrha: They are fighting so that we can escape. You saw how easily she took us out, we would only get in their way.

Even as he still wanted to help, Oscar finally left with them. Back in the fight, the two men proved to be a challenge for Salem. They landed punch after punch and slash after slash. While she was able to heal herself, they still proved to be a match for her. That's when the witch finally had enough.

Salem:

A massive shockwave of magic sent the two flying backwards into the wall. When they got back up, they saw what had happen to Salem. He body now emitted darkness as a tornado surrounded her, sending debris flying every where.

Salem:

The tornado grew more powerful as Hazel and the knight were now struggling to not fly backwards. From behind Salem a massive magic circle appeared, from it large tentacles with jaws at the end were conjured.

BK: Any idea what this is?

Hazel: No, I've never seen her like this before.

The tentacle beast lunged at them. Hazel caught the first one as the black knight severed it. Hazel jumped out of the way as another collided into the wall. He grabbed onto it and twisted it off. Another tentacle went for the knight, he held his sword high and sliced it down the middle.

As they worked together to fight these new grimm, Salem made her move. She teleported right behind the knight. The moment he sensed her, he quickly turned around. Salem covered her hand in darkness and formed in claw. When there eyes met, she slashed the left side of his face. Not only that, but she slammed an orb of magic, blasting him backwards.

Hazel ran out Salem, but she fired a powerful blast. Hazel tried to defend but was easily knocked back. The tornado disappeared as the darkness went with it. Salem returned back to normal.

Salem: What you just saw is me when I fight serious. I could have easily killed you both, but I prefer enjoying my time as I slowly make you suffer.

Both warriors tried to get up but were at their limits. Hazel's dust powerup has now run out as his body now felt the aftermath. Meanwhile with the knight, the part of his body where he got hit by magic was now burned bodily as his armor had gotten shattered. The part of his helmet where Salem slashed out revealed ghostly white skin and hair and a pale red eye.

BK(thought): Can't...give up...I can't....fail them.

Salem: Why don't we start with you.

As she was about to deal the finishing blow, Hazel was now behind her and pulled her into a bear hug. Grimm hands grabbed onto him, but that's when his body caught on fire. Salem screamed out in pain as she was being burned.

Hazel: Finish her.

The knight got back up and held his sword high. It started to illuminate, with the light growing stronger and stronger. From the sword a ray of light shot up into the sky, catching the attention of anyone nearby. Back inside the monster, Salem's eyes widened as she saw the attack.

BK: May you rest in hell.

With that he brought the sword down, engulfing everything as far as the eye could see in light.
