As the teacher does problems on the board, I find myself zoning out, thinking back to what Aaron said yesterday.

I can't believe—Liam interrupts my thoughts.

"Hey," he whispers with a sheepish grin. "You look pretty."

I don't feel pretty.

"Thanks," I say anyway. I desperately need a distraction, so perhaps this'll do.

"I was just wondering," he continues. "If you want to go to the Halloween party with me."

As I'm about to decline, I see Aaron glaring at Liam, practically sending daggers our way.

Suddenly, going to the party is all I've ever wanted .

"Of course I'll go," I tell Liam, and Aaron quickly gets up to leave the classroom.

What? I thought it was only a kiss. And besides, this is only a Halloween party.
