I can't contain my smile as Aaron and I run through the pouring rain.

"Where are we going?" I ask

"It's a secret." He looks back at me, and grins, probably at whatever mischievousness he knows he's up to.

I can still hear faint music playing from the party behind us, and once we're in the parking lot, I stop.

I spin around in the rain, laughing to myself. Aaron stares at me.

"What're you doing?" he asks. I grab his hands, and pull him towards me.

And we slow dance in the dark, under the streetlight, thunder in the distance.

And then we kiss in the dark, me sighing as soon as our lips meet.

Then we're in the car, kissing while both in the driver's seat, me on his lap.

"Wait," he says between kisses. "I need to tell you why I was ignoring you."

And then the entire mood changes.
