"Man what's up between you and Venus", I asked Avah as we were seated in class waiting for our substitute teacher to come in. Mr Daniels was on leave or something like that.
"Well", Avah trailed off. "Me and Venus, we like each other. At least that's what I think. Look man, I like her and everytime I try to tell her that she brushes me off. But when a girl throws herself at me she's the first person to get mad. Sometimes I think she's bipolar because one minute she acts like she doesn't care then the next she's all up in her feelings. I just don't understand her sometimes", Avah said with her hands on her face.
"Y'all playing games, just get together man. I know it won't be easy but at least try", I said patting her on the shoulder. "Dude who died and made you the love doctor?", she asked raising an eyebrow.
"Don't start, I've always been like this the fuck", I said laughing. "You and Ice will definitely look cute together", I know where the conversation was going so I had to cut it short. "Do you think Mr. Daniels is sick?", I asked trying to change the subject. "Mr Daniels is fine, Ice isn't", she said looking at me.
"Me and Ice are just friends and I told her that. She's cool yeah but we just playing man, that flirting we do is just fun and games", I said. "Fun and games for you because Ice seems to be catching feelings, she's falling real hard", she said looking very serious.
I seriously wasn't looking for no relationship and that's what I had let Ice know. I mean my life just took another turn so right now I just need some me time and plenty of space. Not to say she'll be crowding my space, I just need to breathe.

Time flew by and school was out. I quickly rushed out, Blacky is an impatient motherfucker when he wants to be. I walked out the school premises and saw his car parked by a tree near some ice cream truck.
I was honestly not looking forward for going back to that house, but I guess I had to.
So I walked up to Blacky's car. "Sup Blacky?", I asked while closing the car door. "I'm straight Youngin', you good?", he asked. "I'm Okay, I'm straight."
My inner voice was screaming saying "I'm hurt, I'm sad, I'm tired and fucked up!" Nonetheless I just smiled at him. You could tell he wasn't believing me but he let it slide.
5 minutes later he pulled up infront of the house. I didn't even notice till he called me, "Youngin', we're here." So because I didn't want to go inside the house, I decided to start up a conversation.
"Uhm, you know any places to rent out here?" I asked looking at him. He looked so surprised and asked "You're planning on moving out?" "Well yeah, I mean these are newlyweds so I was thinking of giving them some space. Plus I got some money saved up so I could actually afford my own place" I said trying to sound convincing.
"Don't worry Youngin' I'll let you know when I get the best place for you." I cheesed so hard and said bye. As soon as I got out the car, he drove off.
Here I am contemplating on whether to get inside, get in using the window or just run the fuck away from here "I'm a big girl and big girls are strong, I can handle this", I said trying to calm myself down.

After a minute or so I got in. My mom was in the kitchen cooking supper and the nigga Jason was sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Shane you back?" Jason asked smirking. I don't know if he's dumb or what but he clearly sees that I'm back so why ask? I sarcastically answered rolling my eyes and said, "Nah I'm not back, I'll be back by midnight." "Shanice don't be rude!" I heard my mom shouting from the kitchen.
"It's Okay baby, Shane is just trying to make me laugh", Jason said. I just gave him a look and went up the stairs to my room, I honestly had no time to entertain a clown like him.
I got in my room and locked the door. I decided to take a quick shower before I do my schoolwork. So I went to turn the shower on while getting undressed. I plugged the aux to my phone and went on to 'Chasing Summer' , an album by SiR and let his voice fill up the room.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.

Displacement
or, Deux Navires Passant dans la Nuit If you wake up in a new world, with only your memories of home to guide you, you have to trust the first people you meet. The first people Leah meets seem to know her - but not her. Leah is thrust into a fighter's role that does not quite suit her, and those who 'rescued' her do their best to help her fit in. They hint at a world that Leah can only vaguely understand without serious research and exploration, but how to do that research, when everyone believes her to be a local of this place, and too many questions might draw unwanted attention? And what about home? The more Leah learns about this world, the less she believes that she woke up on the right side of the bed - or more accurately, on the right side of the conflict. With magic being strictly regulated in her current "home," maybe it's time to uproot and look for a new set of allies... -- Displacement is a queer / lgbt bodyswap isekai: Leah Armande falls out of a Quebecois city into an unfamiliar fantasy world, and Leah Talesh falls out of her adventuring party's homeland and into an unfamiliar industrial world. The story follows both women as they navigate their new surroundings, trying at times to find a way home, at times just to pass for a local, and at times to actually make a life for themselves in their new world. Expect in-depth politics and worldbuilding, sapphic moments, foibles, and far too much time spent either in libraries or convalescing (or sometimes both).
