Omniscient's POV.
with Shane's business out and about all she wanted was to get herself away from what was happening. the police were on her tail, the crew and Blacky felt betrayed, her mother broke down and didn't want to believe that her own daughter was involved in such cruel dealings. she blamed herself for not being there for Shanice when she was supposed to.
all the times she'd choose Jason's side over her own daughter. neglecting her when her father died and thought because she was grown she'd be able to get over his death, alone.
Shanice was nowhere to be seen but her belongings were still in her apartment and her car too. Alex was furious but most of all they were all hurt. thinking how can she do such things behind their backs. you know, Ice even wondered if Shanice was sincere from the get go or this was her plan all along.
they even thought that maybe she was eyeing on Keisha but she had no guts to abduct her. but she was once kidnapped, the question they all had was "was Shanice involved in that too?"
all Shanice wanted was to carry on with his father's legacy. she did this all by herself because she wanted the power all to herself and by that she'd know that she owes nothing to nobody. but now, with hashtags like #SaveOurChildren all around the world, families crying for their children to come back home in one piece and alive, nothing was going to save her either than paying for her sins.
yes, millions of people had took it to the streets, and this was all over the news, her face was no longer unknown but WANTED by millions.
two weeks after Nicole disappeared and a week after Shanice had been running around trying to hide from the world, she received a call from some of her coworkers. they told her to meet them at the shipping warehouse. she found her way there and she thought to herself that this better be good.

she heard voices and it sounded like these two people were going back and forth. she was told that this was going to be their last shipment since things would come crashing down any minute now. the voice kept screaming and saying "let me go! please!" she realized that she knew this young woman's voice.
she then asked her coworkers who she is. they described her. her height, the tattoos on her left hand, her hair colour, her eye colour, the necklace she had on with the initials "N", what they had guessed was her age, where they took her and how they thought she was going to be of good value in the market.
Shanice got weak on her knees, she felt her heart break into pieces and she watched it drop to the ground as tears formed in her eyes. she was lost for words when she realized what she had done. all she could say was "that's my girlfriend".
she slowly walked to the room where Nicole was and immediately felt like her soul was snatched out her body. she started apologising for hurting her, the crew, her mother, for hurting the world. Nicole was confused because she had no idea what was going on until Shanice's acquaintance got into the room and asked what are they going to with her.
that's when it hit her that Shanice was the "boss" they were waiting for all along. she was in denial but Shanice wasn't denying anything either, all she continued saying was she was sorry.
all the trust Nicole had on her went down the drain and she asked herself what else was Shanice hiding from her. she hated seeing her the way she was. her eyes were swollen and had bags under them, she had lost so much weight and she knew that even though Shanice liked to act all tough she was broken inside.

she wanted to be there for her during times like these but considering the pain she put her through, that wasn't going to happen.
"let her go" Shanice said. after a few minutes they heard police sirens from outside. they started panicking but Shanice was just seated there looking all defeated and knew that this was the end. her acquaintances were trying to get away but for them too it was no luck.
they were all handcuffed and were being led to the police vehicle when Shanice looked back at Nicole and mouthed an "I'm sorry" once more.

It was a normal day for the inhabitants of ERT-5901, more commonly known by the populace as Earth. A beautiful planet with lush resources and fertile land, well at one point anyways. Children were born, the elderly died, and Man was as corrupt as ever. But hey, what can you do about that? Can’t change human nature… But that's not the point. Basically the planet was peaceful, for the most part. Certainly they were better off than the species on FTL-3470… We don’t talk about them. Better to leave that book unopened. Anyways, that was all until January 5th of the year 2025. When the sky broke. Fractured. Stunning ocean blue cracks were spotted in the sky all over the planet. A spiders web of cracks and crevices littered the blue skies, tearing all that global peace to shreds. All while Wyatt Walker, a sad example of a human being, was black out drunk in a bar somewhere in LA. This is a post-apocalyptic, portal isekai, high fantasy kind of story set on our very own green Earth! The world has fractured, broken. The inhabitants of ERT-5901 are in for quite the quick and dramatic change in their way of life. Murder, theft, and death have become the norm. Survival of the fittest to the extreme.
