As strong and independent as the muscle man looks, he basically clings to you as if you both are attached at the hip, which you might as well be at this point. You happen to be the responsible one out of the pair, trying to keep things out of chaos to the best of your ability. It's always been this way.

Your ears catch, to your demise, conversation flitting through the halls as you walk to your first class of the semester.

"Wow, he's so hot!"

"There's so many cute freshmen this year!"

"I'm gonna make him mine by the end of the week, bet."

"I hope that's not his girlfriend..."

You glance over at Jungkook to see him walking casually by your side with his hands shoved in his pants pockets. He glances down at you and gives you a quick wink to which you roll your eyes and he laughs. 

Cute new freshmen?

You already know Jungkook is on that list.

Every girl in a ten foot radius is pretty much undressing him with their eyes as you pass by.

I hope that's not his girlfriend. 

You shake your head at that specific comment. Jungkook would never look at you that way...

You sigh internally.

 What don't I have that every other person on this planet does?! Am I really that unappealing to him? Not his type? Does he even have a type?!

You decide it's best to push those weird thoughts away, unsure why it should bother you in the first place. You can't think of him like that, he's your best friend.

That's all.

"I guess you're popular in college too," you whisper teasingly with a nudge, but you can't disguise the bitter edge in your voice.

Thankfully, Jungkook doesn't take notice to the irritation laced in your tone. 

"You think so?" Jungkook's smirk turns coy as you walk into the classroom.

"You even have the older ones swooning at your feet and it's barely nine a.m."

"I guess they're in for a treat then," the casual tone in his voice turns your face sour.

"Yeah until they're tested positive from your STD's."

You go for the back of the room considering the front is mostly taken by this point.

"Yah! Don't say it so loud, you know I'm clean!" Jungkook whispers loudly as he takes a seat right beside you, glancing at the few students who look his way. "People might get the wrong idea."

What he doesn't realize is that he's being gawked at for a completely different reason. Most of them have their tongues practically hanging out of their mouths as they stare him down as if he's a full course meal.

"I know nothing about your cleanliness, Jeon," you argue back.

"Oh yeah? You wanna find out?" Jungkook laughs as you raise your hand, debating if you should give his arm a good slap at this point.

You fake smile in his direction. "Thanks, but I'll think I'll pass."

It hits you now that this is the only class you have together this semester, and you're not sure if you should be relieved or upset. Throughout most of your school years you both have had the same classes, but this might be the perfect time to acquire a bit of distance from each other. His playboy ways take a lot more energy from you than you realized before. It gets tired-some, watching Jungkook run through girls like toilet paper and you can only watch in pity.

But at the end of the day he is your best friend. Through thick and thin you'll choose him over anyone in a heart beat. You two are inseparable.

Even though he's a walking talking idiot...

"I swear, I don't even know why I'm friends with you sometimes," you grumble, mostly to yourself, as you pull out your text book and various writing supplies.

"Because you love me, duh," Jungkook coos back and you sigh, even though it's the truth.

However, you refuse to feed his ego.

But before any smart ass remarks can escape you feel the slight bump of someone taking the seat next to yours. 

"Sorry," the voice causes you to look in their direction briefly and you end up doing a double-take in shock.

"It's-- Um... " 

You're train of thought is completely lost.

You've never seen someone this sexy before. Full plump lips, multiple piercings adorning his ears, cute eye smile that works well with full rounded cheeks. The simple hoodie and jeans that manage to look like he was made to model them simply because he's wearing it. 

He runs a hand through his silky black hair and raises an eyebrow at your starstruck expression. "Did I hurt you?" his voice surprisingly comes out deeper, eyes now showing concern.

You shake your head to clear it while Jungkook eyes the situation through narrowed slits. "N-No. It's fine," is all you can manage to sputter past your lips as you scoot over a bit to give the beautiful man more room.

He sits and rests his elbow on the desk, propping his chin on his hand as he continues to hold your eyes. "I'm Jimin," he says gently, side smile now amused as he takes in your flustered appearance.

"Y/N," you respond tightly, unsure why all nerves are vibrating throughout your entire body.

"That's a pretty name for a pretty girl."

Wait, what is this? Is this flirting?!

You're not sure how to respond so you just let out an awkward giggle that comes out more like a dying frog croak and Jimin's smile widens. 

Jungkook clears his throat roughly beside you and you flinch at the disrupting sound.

"Oh, and this is my friend, Jungkook," your thumb juts out in Jungkook's direction but he huffs in exasperation.

"I'm her best friend," he corrects, no humor shown on the features of his face whatsoever.

"Ah, I see," Jimin looks back and forth between the two of you with a weird look on his face, but he doesn't say anything else.

"We're really close," Jungkook continues and Jimin nods slowly, his brows furrowing in confusion at Jungkook's blunt statement. "Like seen each other naked kind of close."

Your eyes pop wide, head twisting in Jungkook's direction franticly as Jimin hides his laugh behind his hand.

'What the hell are you doing?!' You mouth the words at him but he completely ignores the question, eyes staying glued to Jimin with an unreadable expression.

"I can tell you two are really close friends," Jimin smirks and turns to focus on the teacher who just walked in.

You press your lips together and slide down in your seat in utter embarrassment.

What the hell was Jungkook's problem just now?

You rub your temples in irritation and puff out a sigh, louder than you expected it to be.

"Is there a problem, Miss...? " The teacher speaks out and it takes you a moment to realize class has already started and his question is directed at you.

"Uh, Y/N L/N."

"Well, Miss Y/N L/N? You don't want to be here?"

"Uh, no it's not--"

"I understand that the first day of class isn't fun but-- "

"But I wasn't-- "

"Are you interrupting me now?"

The whole class turns in your direction and you recoil further into your seat from the unwanted attention.

"No, I just-- "

"You seem to have an excuse for everything. Miss L/N, see me after class."

What an asshole!

You groan internally and open your syllabus book with too much force, the slap of the hard cover against the desk causes a loud noise to rack around the room and you instantly regret it.

His hand slaps down onto your desk causing you, Jungkook, and Jimin to all flinch in unison at the sudden movement.

"Attitude will not be permitted in this class. You're in college now, it's time to grow up!" 

"Mr. Min, Y/N is just feeling a bit under the weather today. She'll be better by tomorrow," Jimin is the one to speak up for you and you gaze at him in disbelief.

He's about to dig himself a grave beside me at this point...

The teacher you finally know as Mr. Min narrows his eyes on Jimin. The smile on his face almost looks angry. 

Swiftly, Mr. Min takes off his glasses and cleans them on his turtle neck sweater casually. "So you're going to make excuses for her, Mr...?"

"Jimin. Park Jimin," Jimin replies confidently, not at all fazed by Mr. Min as his shoulders straighten.

"Ahh, I suppose you can join her after class as well, Mr. Park. Let's have a good year, shall we?" Mr. Min spits out sarcastically before striding back down the steps to the white board and on cue Jimin shoulders slump again in an actual 'C' formation.

On the first day you've already managed to put yourself and another student under the professors radar. At this point you'd relive that rabbit dream over and over again rather than having to show up to this class again. 

Who knows how many more enemies you're going to make this year?
