"J-Jungkook?"
Mr. Min nods slightly with the most humorous smirk adorning his lips, which doesn't really seem to match the cautious crinkle his eyes make while glancing behind your back.
You take a deep breath, deciding to finally take a peek and see for yourself.
There's no way he would actually follow...
But lo and behold, as you twist your torso in your seat you spot him immediately.
Jungkook is sitting in the farthest corner of the cafe, which isn't really that far considering the small scale of the building. You can't miss those big doe eyes continuously glancing around in the most sketchy way possible, gnawing on his fuller lower lip in anticipation like a scared bunny debating if he should stay or dash.
You watch as he tries to compose himself just before the waitress approaches and you hear his low voice as he turns on his charm like a light switch, smoothly apologizing for not having even looked at the menu yet, but promising to leave her a big tip for having taken up a table. You can't hear what she says, but you can clearly see the happy look on her face as she rushes away with blushing cheeks, hand covering her mouth as she giggles.
Your eyes roll before you make sense of the whole thing.
"Uh, don't you think you're staring a bit too hard?" Mr. Min calls from behind and you clear your throat, realizing you've been gawking at Jungkook longer than intended.
But Mr. Min's voice is loud. Loud enough to have Jungkook look in your direction and your eyes lock before you have the chance to turn back around.
As if in slow motion, Jungkook's face shifts through an array of horrified expressions which completely contrasts your own, raising an eyebrow in both confusion and more than anything, irritation.
"Shit!" Jungkook's curse carries a bit too loudly across the small room while purposefully slipping the menu in front of his face as quickly as his jittery hands can manage.
You huff, completely baffled at his knee-jerk reaction to hide from you like that creepy stalker you had in tenth grade.
"You've got to be kidding me," you say mostly to yourself, legs moving faster than you can process and before you know it you're already standing, a predator ready to go in for the kill.
Specifically, rabbit food.
"Hey! Y/N-- " Mr. Min calls after you but you have your eyes set, piercing through that stupid menu as you begin to stride towards Jungkook's table.
Lowering the menu slightly, Jungkook's eyes widen dramatically as he sees you nearing and his bunny instincts finally makes the decision for him.
As if he sprouted bunny legs and a cotton tail, he rushes out of the small cafe after clumsily bumping into the host stand, the unnerving clanking of the bell over the front door causes almost everyone surrounding to glance in his direction in concern.
That's when your simmering irritation bubbles over, boiling into full blown anger, body vibrating while your heart feels heavier than ever.
"I'm sick and tired of him always running away from everything!" You growl through your teeth despite the pair of eyes starting to hover over your fuming figure.
But it's more than just that.
You're tired of this game of hot and cold, trying to continuously figure out Jungkook while he parades around sleeping with other women, leading you on completely. He's already made many false promises and hasn't taken your feelings, your heart, seriously at all.

What's the point? I mean, Jungkook did warn me. He told me he would end up hurting me, said that he's no good for me... and he was right. But I didn't listen, I let that stupid bet... my stupid heart... blind me from this harsh reality. If we we're truly meant to be together wouldn't we have already been something more a long time ago?
Mentally extinguishing the raging fire of pissed off she-devil you feel in your soul, you shake your head and turn on your heels, feeling completely abandoned and an overwhelming feeling of confusion for the man you hate you admit you're in love with.
Until you run straight into a body the equivalent of a sand bag.
You look up at the weirdly handsome face of your teacher, trying to hold back the tears threatening to fall. "M-Mr. Min, I'm sorry but-- "
Resting a hand on your shoulder, he interrupts anything you were about to say with a small side smile. "He couldn't have gone too far, come on."
Jungkook pants, hands on knees, as he pretty much sprinted as far away from the cafe that his lungs would allow before they burned deep in his chest, threatening to burst if he were to take another step.
Shit, she saw me. I've been exposed, Jungkook squeezes his eyes in despair as he wipes the running beads of sweat off his temple with the back of his hand, having a silent argument about why he ran from you, or rather, why he decided to follow in the first place.
"Like that creepy stalker that had followed Y/N everywhere for a whole year... " Jungkook speaks to himself as he shoves his hands in his jean pockets, shaking his head at the thought.
I just didn't want Y/N to be by herself with Mr. Min... Last time I checked he couldn't stand being in the same room as us... and now it seems he wants to help us... what a weirdo.
Looking to his left, he spots a playground completely deserted and makes a quick decision to head in that direction, take cover, and hope Mr. Min has somehow convinced you to give up and go home, knowing you're probably trying to roam the streets in search of him.
Who am I kidding? She won't listen, she's a stubborn one, Jungkook chuckles quietly to himself before sighing. And I'm a complete fucking idiot.
Jungkook climbs the red metal ladder before scooting himself inside the wide shoe-scuffed yellow tunnel at the top like a bunny burrowing in its home, making himself a makeshift den for cover in the meantime so he can separate his suffocating thoughts and emotions that have built up ever since the day you confessed to him.
Knees bent, arms wrapped around his legs, Jungkook's chest is quick to tighten as he thinks back on everything that happened earlier in the classroom, how quick he was to lose control with your body so clearly needy for him, willing to give him anything he wants. The swirl of arousal in your eyes while unbuttoning his shirt, yearning to touch his skin. He was ready to completely lose himself then, to take you right in front of the window without a second thought, and that's what scares him even more. The thought causes a hot flash up Jungkook's spine and he's quick to shake his head, a complete failed attempt at clearing those dirty thoughts.
One things for sure, he doesn't regret marking you, smiling darkly as he imagines the look on his rivals face when he sees the large splotchy hickey Jungkook so eagerly adorned on your delicate skin just to spite the other male. He pictures his own victory over that stupid Park guy, relishes in the thought of bashing his face into concrete to protect what's already his and taking you away right after.

And then he sees it, sees himself, now unrecognizable, staring back in the reflection of the cheaply made plastic window he sits across from. Hand reaching up, Jungkook touches his lips now curled devilishly as his eyes continue to burn, face twisting the planes of his faces with hatred and jealousy of another man.
I'm just like that monster, Jungkook concludes, dropping his hand with a slap to the yellow tunnel holding him above the ground as his heart sinks below the surface. Someone who uses people for their own pleasures without taking into consideration how they may feel... How she feels. And how I feel about her. I want to change but... I don't think I can. I think it's just getting worse.
Finally dropping his head as tears begin to sting behind his eyes, he admits barely over a whisper, "I care about her... " he sighs sadly, "I love her... so fucking much it hurts."
But I don't deserve her. Maybe she should be with him instead...
"He would probably never hurt her, lie to her, cheat on her."
Not like me; shit, I told her would try and then slept with so many women... fuck.
"Why the hell does she want to be with a shitty person like me?!" As a reflex his fist smashes down, releasing a jolt of anger burning through his veins as he ignores the shock of pain that shoots up his right arm from the impact.
I'm fucking insane, Jungkook inhales heavily, trying to steady his breath and focus solely on your beautiful face behind his lids as the world continues to spiral in nauseating circles.
Images of his father slice through and like an old movie film in his mind he can see bit and pieces of memories flash by. The multiple women brought in and out of their home in the early hours of the morning with hushed promises of seeing each other again. His mother's blood curdling screams heard from Jungkook's bedroom when his father would lash out after coming home from the casino. He could almost feel the aching pain as you planted kisses on all of his bruises under the large tree in the back yard with watery eyes, explaining that your mom said it was the best way to make them disappear faster.
Tears flooded Jungkook's eyes as he smiled sadly, letting them spill over while his heart pricked around the edges at the last memory.
The buzzing of his phone vibrates loud against the yellow shiny plastic and Jungkook sucks in a breath before letting it out slowly, turning it over to see the dimly lit screen.
"Unknown," Jungkook reads out loud, brows knitting together considering his immediate first thought was that it was none other than his Y/N calling to kill his ear drum and interrogate his whereabouts.
Hesitantly, Jungkook answers, "Hello?"
"Jungkook." That familiar disgusting voice causes an array of filthy goosebumps to shoot up his arms.
Already tired, Jungkook rests his head back against the tunnel window, letting his eyes close with the phone still against his ear.
"Why do you keep calling me? Didn't I tell you to stay out of our lives?"
"Listen, Boy, I've been calling because I need a favor and you-- "
"What? You can't buy your booze? Need money for rent because you spent it all on drugs, hookers? Which is it this time?! Don't act like it's a fucking favor," Jungkook interrupts as the memories he endured from that man he used to call Father resurfaces yet again, creating a wave of nausea to sink deep into his abdomen.
"You don't know what the fuck happened, Jungkook! Your mother-- "
"My mother suffered because of you!" The tunnel echoes, and Jungkook can no longer hear the chirping of the birds or the lawn mower in the distance over his own voice. "I was too young to understand but now I get how much of a monster you are and the selfish reasons you made our lives a living hell! And what you tried to do to Y/N... you're disgusting! You're the reason I'm fucked up! You're the reason I can't even show her that I-- " Jungkook can't finish, having just now realized he had been yelling the entire time without taking a breath.
Jungkook knows he struck a nerve by the way the silence drones on for several moments before his father speaks, "Hanging out with that Y/N bitch made you weak, just as I always said but your pathetic excuse of a mother never listened to me. You never knew respect, Boy. When your father tells you to do something-- "
Jungkook laughs humorlessly. "I don't need to hear this shit. You never cared about anyone but yourself, and now you're alone. You're going to die alone, as you should. You don't seem to realize I'm old enough to do what the fuck I want, go wherever the fuck I please, without your control, legally. So for the last time, don't call me again."
Heart heavy in his chest, head pounding from the unpleasant conversation with his father, Jungkook realizes that no matter how much he wants you to forget about him and move on, he finds comfort and happiness only in your presence. And right now all he wants to do is find you, feel your body against his instead of running away to call one of his toys that only temporarily masks the pain he feels.
You've always been there for him, the thought of losing you only cuts deeper.
Giving in, even if only for a moment, he lets his heart guide him out of the tunnel, feet planting back onto the wood chips of the playground as he darts in the direction of the cafe.
I need to stop running away. I need to apologize. I always let these thoughts control my life. I need to find her.
As soon as feet hit the concrete Jungkook sprints, ignoring the ache of his legs from having run earlier but his determination has him reach his destination much quicker this time.
Forehead against the cafe window, he presses both hands on each side of his face to peer through, scanning the little coffee shop while dodging the eyes in his direction, all rightfully creeped out at the young man with the crazy glint in his eyes looking through the window.
She's not here... I guess I was right, she is looking for me, Jungkook bites his bottom lip to hide his smile as he pulls away, turning on his heel.
"I need to find her. I need to confess."
