What happened to Mia?
Is she in danger again?
I can't stay away from her anymore.
"What about her?" My heart was beating rapidly afraid of what I was going to hear.
"Don't panic Jase it's all good," Lindsey assured me. But it was no use as my heart's panicking pace won't settle until I hear it myself.
"Then what is it?" There is something she needs to tell me and from the look on her face, I think I won't like what I will hear.
"Mia and her friends were in a gang in LA.."
What the hell?
My innocent Mia..
She was in a gang?
Did she kill people?
She has been violent?
Mia..
In a gang?
That has to be a joke!
But then again that explains her fighting skills and the looks in her eyes that she gets when she doesn't give a damn about killing whoever pisses her off.
"Please tell me it's a joke." I am still unbelieving what I just heard. Maybe it's another Mia?
"Sit down and I will tell you everything," Lindsey ordered.
She explained to me everything and I still couldn't believe it.
I couldn't think straight either.
All I thought about is, that's my fault that she entered a gang.
She never liked violence.
She was pure and innocent.
Heck, she always got afraid of cats and even bugs.
She got scared of little things
Now she is fearless and furious that doesn't give a damn about anything.
It's all my damn fault.
I made her like that.
I made her heartless.
"I know what you are thinking Jason.," Lindsey said cutting my thoughts.
" But don't blame yourself, you were forced to do so and Luckily she was in good hands with Boss."
"I..i know but it's just. " I muttered. "It's still a shock. I mean you know how was she before and now you see her!." I buried my head in my hands unable to think straight.
Lindsey's attitude towards me never changed since I joined her gang even if she was our gang leader we always sat and talked together she is like a second mother. Even though her attitude changes in gang's stuff than the usual but she is still the same kind understanding Lindsey.
She knew everything and helped me a lot.
She made me the strong person I am now.
"Don't beat up yourself Jason and I am sure when you explain to Mia everything she will forgive you. Just give her some time, she deserves it after all that she has been through"
"I know.." I sighed. "I know."

Today is the dinner with the Williams that David forced me to go to.
How much I hate that asshole.
And his sneaky wife!
So, I am getting ready now to meet them there.
David texted me not to come by my motorcycle as it doesn't suit a lady that belongs to a high ranked family as ours. Bullshit! .Anyways I will just ignore his pitty ass as usual.
I got dressed in something semi-fancy as you know we are not your usual normal family.
And of course, I wore pants.
I then headed downstairs.
"Woah! You look fab girl ..so damn hot!" Jane said as soon as she glanced me on the stairs.
"Thanks," I answered awkwardly because I suck at taking compliments.
"Jane babe can y--" Damon's voice neared from the kitchen holding a bowl of chips that his mouth is stuffed with now.
Wait.. 'babe'!??

"Fucking hell!! Mia, you look awesome. You really clean up so well." Damon gasped.
"Rude dude!" I scoffed. "But thanks"
"But did I hear right or what?" I crossed my arms under my chest intimidatingly. "Babe!? Are you like dating now!?" I was eager to hear the answer.
Damon cleared his throat." I mean we kinda.." Jane muttered nervously and I noticed her cheeks turn to a light shade of pink.
So cute!
"We are taking it slow but we admitted our feelings to each other.," Damon explained.
Aww. My babies are growing up.
"We just don't want to ruin our friendship so.." Jane shrugged bitting her lip nervously.
"You guys are hella complicated.." I huffed rolling my eyes." I mean you are already in love, you passed the 'like' stage long ago. You knew each other since you were born for fuck's sake." I am really tired of their stupidity.
"Don't you have a dinner to attend to?" Damon brushed me off, getting fed up of my insults.
"Whatever!" I rolled my eyes.
I use this word as a lot these days. I am like obsessed with it.
But, Whatever!
Not again!!
"Wish me luck assholes!" I yelled while heading out of the door.

After a long ride, I arrived at their mansion.
I ringed the bell and the maid opened to me then escorted me inside to find Jason standing with his back facing me and his hands stuffed in his pockets.
Why is he the only one in here?
I cleared my throat so He turned around to face me now.
And OMG!
He just looked so handsome.
His body is so attractive as the clothes hugged his muscles perfectly.
What the hell am I saying now?
Snap out of it bitch!
It's Jason your enemy!!
The one who ruined your life.
He kept looking at me stunned freezing in his place without uttering any word so I decided to break the silence.
"Where are the others?" I asked coldly.
He snapped out of his daze shaking his head as a way to clear his mind."Y..You look amazing, so beautiful." He was still gazing at me with so much admiration.
"Thanks... where are the others?" instead of avoiding his sentence this time I actually thanked him but coldly asking my main question after it.
I don't feel like taking compliments from him.
We are not the same anymore to accept those kind words from him.
"They.. uh.. they went to the restaurant before us because you were late and they told me to wait for you so we can go together.." He explained. "We should head out now. The car is waiting outside."
I nodded then went out with him following me.
The whole car ride was silent none of us muttered a word and that was better. I liked it that way.
We finally arrived and the waitress escorted us to our table.
"Oh my god, Mia dear I missed you a lot." Layla greeted me with a wide grin gracing her face as she hooked me in a tight, warm bear hug.
I missed her warm hugs.
My second mother.
"Hey, Layla. I really missed you too." I hugged her back giving her a small polite smile. Which isn't like me being polite around them.
"Welcome back Mia." Marcus, Jason's father greeted me with a fatherly hug.
"Thank you, Marcus." I greeted back.
Then my eyes landed on the two disgusting monsters. David and Saby.
I didn't greet them nor gave them any of my attention, also they did not try to talk to me so it's totally fine with me.
We took our places and I was sitting in front of Jason. Unfortunately.
"Did you come with that inappropriate motor of yours?" David asked me, disgusted taking a sip of his wine glass.
"Yeah," I mumbled rolling my eyes annoyed by his presence.
"The hell! I told you about coming with this piece of shit, what if people saw you with it." David yelled hitting the table with his fist hard.
Jason frowned anger plastered on his face, Saby was smiling while Marcus sighted and Layla just held my hand tightly.
She always did that when David yelled at me to comfort me.
But that was in the past.
I don't fear him anymore.
"I fucking don't care about anything of your shit and I am not that scared little Mia anymore," I yelled back.
His dark angry eyes focused on me while I stood my ground reflecting his same expression.
He can't affect me anymore.
I noticed Jason held a proud face looking at me.
I don't know what that means but whatever.
The air was so thick filled with tension. No one dared to talk but Layla being the nice person she is, broke the heavy silence.
"So Mia honey how have you been?" Layla asked, shifting my attention to her giving me one of her big warm smiles that made me relax immediately.
"I have been good thanks." I never talked with her so dryly like that and I don't know why I can't talk with her like before. I think it because it has been ages since I last talked with her freely, I just hope she understands me. What the hell I am saying? She always understands!
"You changed a lot looking stunning and grew up to a beautiful young lady that your mother would be proud of now." She said smiling at me with tears forming in her eyes but she dried them quickly.
I love her a lot.
She always treated me like her own daughter.
She never let me down or pushed me away nor treated me badly.
Unlike her son!
"Thank you, Layla. It means a lot coming from you." I answered honestly.
The dinner went on calmly. I chatted with Layla and Marcus most of the time catching up and sometimes Jason entered the conversations so, I had to pretend as if nothing happened between us for his parents' sake.
"So how was a boarding school, Mia?" Layla asked." Did you make good friends?"
What?
"Boarding school?" I furrowed my brows in confusion.
"Yes. Weren't you at boarding school this whole time honey?" Layla confirmed. "So how was it?"
"What!? Who said that? I.. I never.." from where that came now?
"Your dad said that y--" Marcus said.
"My what!?" I yelled shocked at what I just heard.
This asshole David told everyone that I went to study abroad NOT that I ran away.
Fucking asshole only cares about his reputation.
But hell to the no.
"I was never at boarding school," I said raising my voice coldly, as my glare fixated on David.
"Mia!" David yelled standing up with a huge scowl covering his fuming face.
"Don't Mia me! Why did you lie huh?" I got riled up, I stood, slamming the table with my palms harshly." Couldn't you just admit the truth and be a man once in your life?" luckily we were in a secluded reserved room in the restaurant. But I am sure our voices still could be heard to the outside. Serves him well and his dear reputation.
"Mia sit down and shut the hell up!" David yelled pointing at me with his finger.
"You don't have the right to order me anymore!" I yelled back." Didn't he tell you that I ran away from him and his wife because they used to hit and abuse me for no reason?" I said crossing my arms looking at Layla and Marcus.
"What?" Layla let out a gasp completely stunned with the new found information as she covered her mouth with her hands. They knew he was harsh but they never knew that he hit me.
"David is that true?" Marcus asked raising his voice.
"You sneaky bitch y--" David cursed me while Saby smiled.
David then came towards me held his hand in the air ready to slap me and Jason stood up angrily.
I caught his hand before he slaps me and before Jason could do so. I don't need anyone's protection, especially Jason's.
"You don't ever get to lay a finger on me again. I told you before I am not the old Mia!" I narrowed my eyes gritting my teeth.
"You fucking piece of shit you are just like your bitch mother--"
"David!!" Marcus yelled standing up.
I pushed David getting out of this place after saying. "You don't talk about my mother like that ever again she was a better person than you could ever be and your snake of a wife. Next time you do so it will be your death day." I threatened to get out of here while apologizing to Both Layla and Marcus that gave me understanding nods.
I left the restaurant frustrated as hell storming to god knows where.
I just had to get away from him before I murder him.
I need my damn motorcycle!
While I was walking fast stomping on the ground furiously I heard someone calling my name.
"Mia!"
Not now!
"Mia wait!!" Jason shouted running behind me forcing me to turn to face him." Slow down!"
I am really not in the mood for you now!
"What do you want?"
"I came to check on you and my mom was worried about you." He reasoned." Also, I can't let you walk alone in a place so far like that looking frustrated."
"I am good thanks and I am fully capable of taking good care of myself. I will manage."
"I know you are but I can't let you walk l--"
"Jason! You don't have to act like you care and just leave me alone. I am used to being hurt nothing can affect me anymore." Then I stormed away from him.
"Why didn't you tell me..?" He yelled from behind me.
I stopped in my tracks turning to face him rolling my eyes."Tell you what?"
"Why didn't you tell he was beating or abusing you?" He was walking towards me, "I could have helped you, you know."
"I could have stopped all of this." He took a few steps closer till he reached me." We could have managed this together like we always did."
"It doesn't matter anymore." I turned to leave but..
"stay.." He caught my hand stopping me in my tracks again, "stay and talk with me like old times. I know you need someone to listen to you. Even if you don't want to talk just let me stay beside you.. at least let me explain. Stay and talk like old days.."
Should I stay?
Should I talk with him like before?
More importantly, Can I trust him again?
