《Here She Goes (Nishinoya x Reader)》the final push

~Y/N POV~
"JEEZ HE HAS THE POWER OF THE HULK!" I exclaimed as 16 sent his serve flying over the net, thankfully being received by Tanaka. Kageyama and Hinata then performed one of their special quick attacks, getting the ball passed the blocker but having it received by the libero.
"AWW NOO!" I whined as Seijoh performed a counter attack, hitting a line shot which flew passed Noya before he could react.
Thankfully, number 16 only managed to get one more serve in before the ball was slammed onto Seijohs side by Asahi.
"When it comes to Hinatas attacks, if they're read correctly they can be easily stopped," Shimada sighed as the boys switched sides of the court since the teams had both reached 12 points.
"If Hinata can get past Bokuto then he can definitely get passed these guys," I said confidently, crossing my arms and closing my eyes.
-
"Man, not him again," Seiko sighed as Oikawa approached the service line, spinning the ball in his hands.
"Everytime he serves I get a year taken off my life,"Shimada added as the tall boy bounced the ball a few times before pausing .
"I think I might puke," Yachi groaned as she bent over, placing her forehead on the railing as I rubbed her back.
"There, there, just don't puke on my shoes please," I said sternly as we watched the boy serve.
"Well, it looks like everyone on the team is feeling it," Takinoue sighed.
"Bring it on!" I heard Noya yelled as Oikawa tossed the ball and slammed it over with his usual power.
"Mother trucker!" I screeched as Daichi dove to the side, managing to pick up the serve and sending the ball flying over the net. Seijoh passed it up, sending it right to Oikawa who almost appeared to pause and consider his options mid play. Bruh how does his mind do dat????
"Aw man!" Seiko whined as he tossed the ball to onion head who did some weird sideways jump before slamming the ball across the court.
"YEA NOYA!" I cheered as he received the next serve from pretty boy 2.0, sending it just barely off target. It fell down above the net, resulting in a joust between Tsukki and onion head in which the mango fluff prevailed.
I laughed as Noya ran up to him, giving him a hard slap on the back and a thumbs up for the job well done.
I'd like him to slap me like tha-

what. nothing. kidding ofc. no. don't start.
Next up to serve was the dino which meant ginger was finally back in the front row. Surprisingly, Hinata managed to get a one tough on a spike from 16 before doing a similar broad jump to onion head.
Unfortunately, he jumped too far forwards and was now just centimetres away from the net. For whatever reason, Kageyama still sent him the ball, allowing it to hover just above the tape in front of Hinata.
"SLAM IT DOWN!" Kageyama instructed as Hinata swung forwards, snapping his wrist so that the ball fell on the floor right in front of him.
"Yea! Side out!" Shimada cheered as we all started to scream, freaking out over the save those two idiots just made.
"Amazing! He hit it in front of the attack line!" Yachi gasped as she clutched the railing, a slight pink tinting her cheeks.
"He's using a snap from his wrist so it's a weak shot but nobody can get there in time to stop him," Shimada explained as he calmed down, gazing at the court and replaying the actions in his mind.
"Good job ginger!" I called as he continued to receive praise from the team, well, mainly Tanaka who was losing his shit.
Seijoh got the next point.
Then Karasuno.
Then Seijoh.
Then Seijoh again after putting in a pinched server
"If Seijoh gets to 20 points first it's gonna be tricky," Takinoue sighed as I looked to the scoreboard.
18-19 for Aoba Johsai.
"Come on nerds!" I called out as Noya received another serve from their pinch server. Hinata then went in for a quick where a blocker and defender were already positioned as if they were going to guide his spike.
However, Hinata didn't allow it and used his feint technique to score which he'd learned from Bokuto back at the summer training camp. What a good teacher that owl is😌
-
At this point almost all of the bleachers were full with people who'd heard about the intense match between Karasuno and Aoba Johsai.
The score was 22-24 for Seijoh, and the one and only Oikawa was up to serve. Talk about bad timing.
He'd already gotten a point for Seijoh with a service ace that was easily as powerful as Tanaka's spikes.
Karasuno called a timeout which was definitely a good idea based on the situation they were in.
"Okay, it's finally time guys. Now or never," Shimada sighed Oikawa served, making a face of pain as he did so, almost as if it hurt to put that much power behind it.

I didn't even realize I was holding my breath until the ball made contact with Daichi's wrists, pounding against them and spiralling into the air.
"Yes! He got it!" I cheered as they pulled off an incredible pipe from Asahi in the back row.
"It's still match point for Seijoh," Shimada groaned as our cheering subsided and I eyed him up and down.
"You just live to put a damper on things huh? Who cares. Our boys can do it!" I said confidently as Noya went running off the court to switch with Hinata, followed by a substitution of Suga who went in for Tsukki.
"Oh, I bet their gonna let Suga set!" Seiko exclaimed as he walked onto the court, looking around as if he was noting every bit of it.
He served, the ball being received by their number four who I'd been informed was Seijohs ace. It looked as if Oikawa was going to set Onion head, but out of nowhere number 16 came rushing in.
Kageyama was already there as the ball went up, quickly followed by Hinata who almost jumped into Kageyama's body as they met in mid air for the block.
16 slammed the ball into Hinatas hands before it rebounded and fell in the back of Seijohs court.
"They did it! They survived match point!" Yachi cheered as she punched her fists in the air happily.
"That barely went into their front side!" Shimada gasped as the serve from Sugamama barely grazed the tape on the net. Seijohs ace picked the ball up once again, and it became clear that Suga was trying to break him.
After Seijohs attack, Suga dug the ball up which meant he couldn't set so the boys automatically went into a synchronized attack. Honestly I couldn't tell who Kags planned on sending the ball too until he'd already dumped it over the net, landing just in front of a VERY angry Oikawa.
Seijoh took a time out after that last point, and numbers 4 and 16 were looking really pissed. That's what you get for hating on my hoes🥰
As the timeout ended, I could see Karasuno looking especially determined, a fire burning behind each of their eyes.
"Let's go! You can do it!" Seiko screamed as the boys wandered back onto the court, and Shimada and Takinoue created a joint cheer.
"Come on! Don't let me down boys!" I called sarcastically as a few of them looked up and smiled at me to which I winked back.
Suga served, once again sending the ball to the front half of Seijohs court and throwing off 4. Oikawa then set up the bumble bastard who hit the ball down right at Tanaka.
Thankfully baldy managed to get his hands up to stop the ball in time before getting his face absolutely mangled by the ball.
As the ball went flying up Suga and Kageyama switched places, each with their eyes trained on the ball. This time, Suga set Asahi who came in from the back row and crushed the ball down in front of a defender.
"They got to it!" Takinoue gasped as Shimada shushed him, pointing to where the ball was falling.
"But wait, it's going the other way!" he gasped as the ball went past the referee with an eager Oikawa trailing behind.
"What the hell?" I gasped as he leapt up, somehow sending a set to the ace from way outside the court before crashing into a score table. 4 spiked the ball towards Daichi who touched it, but unfortunately missed by the littlest bit. The ball went screaming off behind him as he let out a loud wail.
"TANAKAAAA!" I screamed, grabbing onto Seiko as the bald kid just FLEW across the court, throwing himself to the floor as he flicked the ball up. SOMEHOW Asahi managed to spike the ball from the service line as Seijohs libero slid towards it. He got the ball up, but it went straight into the net.
Fall, fall, fall.
As it tumbled off the net, 16 dove to the side, flicking the ball up with his fist as he fell. I held my breath as it hung above the tape, and Kageyama jumped to slam the ball. However, onion head was already there with the block, and sent the ball rebounding into Sugas face.
He'll feel that in the morning.
"LEAVE THIS ONE TO ME!" Hinata screamed as he stepped back, gaining some more room before charging in for a quick attack.
"No! Did they read the switch?" I gasped as Kageyama ran behind him and a huge wall of blockers came up in front of Hinata.
Thankfully, number 16 was just a second late on his block which gave Hinata a tiny opening to score. He swung at the ball with full force as Oikawa moved into his defensive position.
He made contact, the ball just barely grazing the block before ricocheting off of Oikawas arms and landing on the floor behind him.

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. Recovery of a Life
The prince of a kingdom was erased from the world. His very existence an enigma. Follow Xopil as he forces his life into a world that refuses to acknowledge his presence. I tried to write a novel without including all the standard things you find in certain genres, or if it is included, I hope it's at least a fresh take on it, this includes me breaking the fourth wall, probably too much. I'm wondering if that helped with humor at all, and also reconsidering if that should be a part of the story. I'm going to be rewriting every chapter at this point... and that chapter I'm extremely disappointed with could likely be deleted if not redone entirely. Now that this story is marked 'completed', I'll be going through each chapter and fleshing out the story a bit, as I found it severely lacking, and I've been saying to myself "I could have done more with that." way more often than I should be. And that speaks to my own dissatisfaction with my writing. I make no warranty-express or implied-as to the quality of these chapters, or the story as a whole. Cover art by Roman Valeyev
