《Here She Goes (Nishinoya x Reader)》Lava Boy and Chia Pet💃🏽

~Y/N POV~
We started off the second set with a synchronized attack which proved to work fairly well against Shiritorizawa. Unfortunately, they quickly tied it up with a quick attack from one of their middle blockers.
Asahi then scored another point by rebounding a spike off a blocker, setting himself up to serve. His serve was received, but the ball went out of control. Despite the ball flying around randomly, they still got the ball to Ushiwaka who easily got back the point with a killer spike.
"Ugh, it's that punks serve again?" Seiko whined as I looked over to Shiritorizawa's side.
"Ugh, not grass head. He looks like a chia pet," I grumbled, earning a laugh from my compadres.
"Do you get nervous to say anything at all?" Shimada asked as I smiled and shook my head.
"They're just words. Who cares," I shrugged as the chia pet went up to serve. (no hate to the bob ross chia pet tho. That's elite😌🤚🏼)
Ushiwaka performed one of his usual bone crushing serves which rebounded off of Tanaka's chest and tumbled over the net.
"Karasuno will totally take this set once they get accustomed to Ushiwaka's left handed shots!" Akiteru exclaimed as the ball landed just out of reach of one of Shiritorizawa's players.
Tsukki was next up to serve which meant Hinata would finally be back in the front row. The rally went back and forth a few times before Hinata leaped in the air, almost moving sideways as Kageyama tossed the ball too him.
"Yea! Uh wha-" I gasped as the ball was completely stopped, and the tall middle blocker with red hair stood and loomed over Hinata. From where I was positioned , it looked like the episode of the backyardagins where they're standing below that dragon mountain😔💔
"Oh wow, isn't that the guess monster?" a man who was seated a few rows behind us gasped as the boy stared down Hinata with those beady eyes of his.
"Did he just call number 5 the guess monster?" Seiko murmered as she eyed the man behind us.
"Is he gonna put a hit out on poor Hinata," Yachi whimpered as she clutch the railing.
"I don't think you two heard that right," Shimada sighed as a boy from Shiritorizawa served. Our receive went a little out of control, and we wound up having Kageyama land the last touch.
Now, normally Kageyama would've landed that spike no problem. But this time, the 'guess monster' completely shut him out all on his own. He's like a one man blocking army.
"Aw man, what did I say? Boys with tomato hair shouldn't be allowed to score points," I whined as I banged my forehead on the railing.
"That's got to be tough on our guys. When you can't get around clean blocks like that it can really hurt your spirit," Shimada sighed as tomato boy let out a loud cheer.
"No way! Did he just shut out the crazy quick?" I gasped as the boy moved his arms around midair to stop Hinata from landing another kill.

"How is he able to react so quickly?" Seiko asked, an annoyed look crossing her face.
"It's not just about his reaction time. Within one second, he analyzed three possible outcomes for that play. Kageyama could've done a setter dump, so he had to decide whether or not that would be attempted. He then had to decide if the set was going to Hinata or Tanaka in the front row, or a toss to Asahi in the back row. Once he'd narrowed it down to Hinata, he had to locate where it was Hinata was going to hit. His body and mind are perfectly in synch," Shimada explained as my eyes widened and I looked at the boy on the court.
Now, I've obviously seen many types of blocks from Tsukishima, Kuroo, Lev, Bokuto and lots of others but NEVER have I seen someone guess every little detail. Kuroo would be so disappointed. Or pissed. Probably pissed.
Despite this strange boys incredible intuition and reads, the next time Kageyama and Hinata attempted a quick attack, it landed perfectly. He shot it straight over the boys head and got us a clean kill.
The next time we received the ball, tomato head completely missed on his guess, covering Hinata when the toss actually went to Asahi. Despite him completely missing the block, Shiritorizawa still managed to get the ball up, but sent it flying back to our side.
Noya received the pass, and Hinata immediately went tearing towards the edge of the course, hitting one of his broad jumps just out of reach of tomato head.
"Finally, I thought lava boy would never let him past," I sighed as the ball hit the ground.
"Lave boy? I like that one!" Seiko exclaimed as she punched me in the shoulder and I gave her a cheesy grin.
On the next attack, Hinata led lava boy across the entire court before he changed his direction. He dashed over just in time, getting a one touch on Tanaka's spike despite the distance he had to cover.
Due to the one touch, Shiritorizawa set up a perfect counter for Ushiwaka who shot the ball from the back row, cleanly cutting through Hinata and Kageyama's double block.
"Ugh, between lava boy and chia pet here, these guys are really starting to piss me off," I groaned the Shiritorizawa cheering section erupted into applause.
"Shiritorizawa appears unpredictable on all fronts," Akiteru sighed, choosing to ignore my wonderful comment about the strange pair.
"Don't let them pull ahead," Shimada exclaimed through gritted teeth.
"If they get the opportunity, they're gonna leave our guys in the dust," Takinoue added as he clutched his noise makers while Ushiwaka crushed another of his amazing spikes.
"Hey, I have a very serious question," I declared, receiving an 'oh no she's going to say something stupid' glance from Shimada.
"And what is it?" he asked, regret painting his face as I sneared and pointed to the pairs noise makers.
"How come you didnt bring any of those for me?" I asked in an offended tone.

"Do we really have to answer that?" Shimada asked, raising an eyebrow as Takinoue tried to stifle his laughs.
"You're just lucky I have my own surprise for if things get bad," I declared, crossing my arms and looking away as Asahi got another point against Shiritorizawa.
A few points later, Noya got a receive but accidentally sent the ball too far and gave it back to Shiritorizawa. They then tried a delayed attack which had worked earlier, but this time, it was completely shut out by Tsukki.
"YEAAAA! GO DINO!" I cheered as he glared at me and scowled. Ugh, unfortunately talented idiot.
Asahi served next which was quickly countered by an attack from Ushiwaka who slammed right through a double block. Despite having Ushiwaka shoot through him, Tsukki managed to get a one touch on the next block against lava boy, and later on, against a taller boy with darker skin.
Tanaka used the one touch too his advantage to perform a killer spike, boosting his already massive ego all the more.
"Seiko, you're brother might be a good player but he's an idiot," I sighed as Tanaka continued to brag about his kill too the team.
"Amen," she nodded in agreement as Suga subbed in for Tsukki to serve.
While Suga was on the court he managed to set Kageyama up for a nice kill, but was subbed out again after a spike from Ushiwaka ended his serving run.
I think Ushiwaka got about three consecutive points before Shiritorizawa's run was ended by a super quick from Hinata and Kageyama.
"If it weren't for those two bickersons we wouldn't make half as many points as we do," I sighed as the two immediately jumped into an argument, probably over something stupid like the timing or position of the set.
"You're right, but I'm still so nervous," Yachi groaned as she clutched her chest and furrowed her brow.
"Woah there, don't die on me! I haven't even had a nerf war with you yet!" I exclaimed as she groaned and nodded. No one can escape the wrath of my nerf guns😏🤏🏼
"Oh?" Shimada gasped as he looked down to the sidelines where Tadashi stood, holding up a sign with '10' written on it. For once, Tadashi looked confident too be going in to serve, and I just hoped he could make the most out of the situation.
He sent a BEAUTIFUL serve over *chefs kiss*, which was barely received by the kid with the bangs. The ball went a bit out of control, and their usually flawless formation was busted.
The libero tumbled in and passed the ball up to the chia pet who would face off against a triple block from Daichi, Asahi and Tsukishima.
Despite going against a triple block with three of our best blockers, he managed to blow right through, ending Tadashi's serving run far earlier then anticipated.
"Aww man! I had such high hopes for my baby strawberry," I groaned as he switch back with Hinata who was replaced with Noya in the back row.
"Well, they are a national level team. It makes sense they could rebound that quickly against a jump float," Shimada thought out loud as Asahi landed a nice kill, tying the score at 21.
Daichi was next to serve, and bangerooni over here received it. Not at all surprisingly, the 🪴chia pet🪴 was set up once again. Only this time, he didn't manage to break through the block, and the ball rebounded instead.
"YEAAAA!" Seiko screamed as Tanaka leapt up and punched the ball to avoid it going beyond the barrier which had been set up.
"He got to it!" Yachi gasped, her eyes growing wide as I leaned forwards and clutched the bar.
"NICE ONE MR CLEAN!" I cheered, receiving a few concerned glances from the people around me. Despite their efforts, Karasuno had to send Shiritorizawa a chance ball which they quickly turned into an attack. A successful one.
A couple plays later, Ushiwaka was set again and went up against a three man block. Although, once he made contact, it became clear the block wasn't there to stop him. The block was in fact guiding Ushiwaka too hit directly too Nishinoya who waited in line for a straight.
As the ball came crashing down he got a perfect receive which sent him flying backwards and landing on his back. He sort of used his body to absorb the impact of the ball and slow it down.
"YEAAA! GOOD JOB NOYAAAA!" I cheered as he quickly leapt up to his feet, just in time to see Tsukishima get a clean kill.

After this the set was extremely back and forth with no team managing to get two consecutive points in a row. That was, until, Tsukkishima moved to the front row after a full rotation, and Hinata was up to serve.
For the first time today Hinata and Kageyama pulled off their insane quick attack from the back row, which was something they'd really been working hard on. In the next rally Ushiwaka got the point for Shiritorizawa by slamming a kill over top of our block.
After that the boys pulled off a synchronized attack where Daichi got the toss. He managed to get a pretty nice kill, making the receiver fall over at his miserable attempt at picking up the ball.
We were at match point yet again and Noya got another INCREDIBLE dig when Ushiwaka spiked. The ball went flying off his chest and was dug up by Tanaka who eagerly sprinted towards it like a kid in a candy shop.
Daichi finished the passes off by sending it too the very back of the court where it was received by Shiritorizawa's libero.
For whatever reason, the setter rushed the set too Ushiwaka, sending the ball fairly low. Ushiwaka rushed in, and I gasped as he aimed at a gap in the block which had been left by Tsukkishima.
But before I even had a chance to blink, he slammed the ball into Tsukki's hands which stopped the balls momentum and sent it crashing too the gym floor.
