The entire gym went silent as the ball tumbled across the floor, most not entirely believing what had just happened. Tsukki- TSUKKI just blocked Ushiwaka???

"OH YEAAAAA!" I cheered as the entire gym suddenly erupted into applause and the Karasuno cheering section went crazy.

"HE DID IT!" Yachi exclaimed as she jumped up and down, clapping her hands excitedly.

"Aw man! Look at that kid!" Seiko exclaimed as Tanaka and Noya rushed forwards, jumping on his back and roughing him up.

"If I know my brother, he was patiently waiting for that exact moment when Shiritorizawa was put under pressure," Akiteru thought out loud as Seiko, Yachi and I looked up at him. #shortgirlgang🥶💅🏽

"That dino might piss me off but he's damn good at what he does," I nodded in agreement as the boys happily walked off the court and my phone buzzed.

I looked up from my phone just as the third set was starting. Each of the boys seemed to be in better spirits, and were each completely warmed up.

Unfortunately, Shiritorizawa took the lead early with a killer spike from Ushiwaka. They managed to maintain their lead for the entire set, not seeming shaken up by their previous loss.

"Ughhhh, can't they at least act a little psyched out?" I whined as Ushiwaka scored the set point, knocking Noya off his feet as he tried to receive it.

"Yea! They're acting like we aren't a threat!" Seiko exclaimed in agreement as Noya slowly stood, staring down the other side of the court as Asahi and Daichi waited for him.

"Did something happen between Hinata and Ushiwaka?" Yachi asked, noticing as I watched the interaction with wide eyes.

"I don't know but apparently he and Kageyama snuck into Shiritorizawa's campus one time and talked shit too Ushiwaka," I shrugged as Ushiwaka went running away and Hinata sent a glare at him.

"Aw man, Hinata picked a fight with that punk?" Seiko asked as Kageyama yelled at Hinata, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Yup. He learns from the best," I said smugly as Seiko tried to stifle her laughs.

"Hey, the next set is starting!" Yachi exclaimed, choosing to ignore my comment. (hOw dAre yoU😔💔)

"Oh my god I'm going to shove those pom poms where the sun don't shine," I growled , rolling up my sleeves and eyeing the cheerleaders from the opposing team before spinning on my heals and trying to walk away.

"Nope," Seiko exclaimed, popping the 'p'. "Ryu strictly informed me that I wasn't allowed to let you pick any fights," she exclaimed, grabbing my hoodie and holding me back.

"But big sisssss, they're pissing me off," I whined as she snickered and pulled me back to the railing.

"Aw, come on kid! If we win you'll have bragging rights over every cheerleader in this prefecture!" she exclaimed as the kid with dora bangs completely missed his serve.

"OOOOOO," I cooed, eyeing the girls on tutus and snickering beneath my breath, a mischievous smile appearing on my face.

"Uhm Y/N? You don't have any nerf guns left, right?" Yachi asked, tuning into the conversation.

"Oh, of course not," I sighed sarcastically, trapping my backpack between my legs so that she couldn't reach the one nerf gun Noya and Daichi hadn't confiscated.

"J-just don't shoot anyone p-please," she stammered as I smirked and looked around the room, whistling as Shiritorizawa's number 8 scored against Tanaka.

"OH COME ON DORA!" I screamed, earning a couple of snickers from students behind me as Seiko reached up and covered my mouth.

"Mph exmfuse mhef," I mumbled as she shook her head.

"You've lost your speaking privileges," she snickered as I frowned as looked too the scoreboard. 7-8.

I studied the court closely as the boys discussed something about the play which had just taken place.

"If only you guys had taken the game this seriously a couple years back," a familiar voice chimed in as I perked up and whirled around.

"Uh, hello sir!" Shimada, Takinoue and Akiteru exclaimed as they bowed before him and I pulled Seikos hand from my mouth.

"UKAI!" I cheered as he gave us a warm smile, and I rushed forwards too give him a fist bump.

"Hey kid, how's that lugnut I call my grandson doing?" he asked as I looked down at the court.

"Well he wouldn't let me drive the bus again despite my insane mario cart skills and I've kinda tuned out everything else he's done so I really couldn't tell you," I said honestly as he laughed and took a seat on the bleachers behind us.

"Well, I see Washijo has assembled another strong line up," he sighed, studying the court.

"You mean the bag of disintegrating human fles-"

"Alright Y/N, let's watch the game now," Seiko interrupted as she yanked me back and I waved to Ukai who let out another chuckle.

I like that dude.

I looked back to the court just as Tsukkishima got a clean kill, landing the ball in the back of the court.

"WOOOO, GO MANGOOOO!" I cheered as he followed up the routine with a glare and scowl.

Unfortunately on the next play Ushiwaka managed to score through Tsukki's block which really pissed him off.

"I've seen Tsukishima agitated but never this frustrated," Yachi thought out loud as she clutched the railing like a scared puppy dog.

A couple plays later Tanaka got an excellent block against Ushiwaka, but was later blocked himself by tomato head. I narrowed my eyes at the boy and scoffed.

"Nerf gun?" I questioned as Yachi and Seiko sighed, each giving me a 'no that's a bad idea' look.

"No nerf guns."

"Nerf guns."

"Nope."

"Yup."

"No."

"Yes."

"I'll stop giving you lollipops."

"YOU WOULDN'T!" I gasped as Seiko snickered and pulled me into a headlock.

"I WOULD!" she exclaimed as I sighed and let my body go limp, signalling that I wouldn't shoot anyone with a nerf gun. (yet😏🤏🏼 KIDDING- no i'm not)

On the next play the chia pet got a service ace against us, but that was quickly objected by a clean kill from Tsukki on the rally after. Hinata was then moved to the front row as Tsukki moved to the back to serve.

"Woahhhhh," I gasped as Hinata moved back from the net while Ushiwaka went up to spike, moving towards the net like he was going to spike. Rather then just jumping in place, he used an approach to increase his vertical, managing to stuff Ushiwaka's block and sending it flying to the back.

"GINGERRRRR!" I exclaimed as Seiko and I jumped up and down while Yachi stared at the court with wide eyes.

"Hinata should just do that everytime!" Seiko exclaimed as she leaned forwards.

"No, no, no!" Shimada interrupted as he adjusted his glasses. "He can't! It won't work against fast attacks anyways."

"Plus it'll do a number on his stamina," Takinoue added as I sighed and rested my chin on the railing.

"Pssh, this coming from a guy who would find new ways too slack off during games," Shimada snickered, parting his buddy on the back.

"Oh you know i-" Takinoue was about to agree before quickly covering his mouth, shooting his gaze towards coach Ukai.

"Can't complain if you were good while slacking off," Ukai chuckled as he rested his fist on his chin.

"OH MY GOD THAT DUMB FUUU- FUDGE NUGGET!" I saved myself as Seiko burst out laughing while Hinata untangled himself from the net which he just jumped into.

I snickered as Noya changed out with Tsukkishima, and said something to Hinata, Tanaka and Kageyama who all nodded in unison.

"Cant say anything if you can play well while being lazy. But small fry over there has no choice but to jump," Ukai thought out loud as Hinata managed too get a clean spike with his broad jump. (mans rly out here stealing Kuroos nicknames for Hinata😔)

"Well he's gotta get rid of that energy somehow!" I exclaimed as the others snickered at my SLIGHTLY hypocritical comment.

"It's a break!" Yachi exclaimed as Hinata got a one touch which was followed by a clean kill from Tanaka. 19-18 in the fourth set.

Later on the score was tied at 20, and it was clear that Shiritorizawa was watching Hinata closely.

"It doesn't matter how good they are, that's a tough move," Shimada sighed Hinata and Kageyama pulled off one of their crazy quick attacks, unfortunately ending Hinatas reign in the front row.

"OOOO THEY'RE PUTTING TADASHI IN!" I squealed as he subbed in too serve for Hinata, taking his place at the service line.

"Isn't he further back then usual?" Seiko questioned as he tossed the ball, clearly aiming for Ushiwaka. But since Ushiwaka is a bad bitch who can't be killed, someone else stepped in to receive the serve. However, this also forced moss head to make the set, so dora the explorer wound up getting the toss.

Tsukki and Daichi each got a touch on the ball which was picked up by Tanaka. Kageyama then set the ball for Tsukki who appeared to be going for a quick attack, but instead delayed his jump too shake off the blocker and land a clean hit.

"We're breaking through!" Yachi cheered as I looked too the scoreboard which read 23-21 for Karasuno.

"Hah, wussies," I snickered as Shiritorizawa called a timeout, and Seiko just sighed, finally realizing that she couldn't contain my comments any longer.

"OOOO LOOK! The sack of flesh isn't dead after all!" I exclaimed as Shiritorizawa's coach started to tell off every player on the team while frantically waving his arms around.

"That's Washijo for you," Ukai sighed as I turned and gave him a cheesy grin which he happily returned. ( okay but like, i could low-key be a Ukai😏🤏🏼)

Unfortunately Tadashi's serving run was ended with a spike from Ushiwaka who nearly killed my baby strawberry💔

"He's hit so many of those, his legs must be getting tired by now," Shimada grumbled as he clutched the railing.

"Pssh, he's obviously a robot. Maybe his batteries will die soon!" I exclaimed as everyone deadpanned at my comment which I chose to ignore for it could ruin my vibe.

"Yea! Tsukki!" Seiko exclaimed as Tsukkishima saved a missed spike of his by extending his arm and barely flicking the ball over the net with his wrist.

"We're at set point, right?" Seiko asked as we looked up too Takinoue and Shimada who were staring intensely at the court.

"Alright, who killed my commentators?" I asked seriously as I turned too the group of students standing behind us, earning a few snickers from them.

"This is their first five set match and it's against a team who regularly makes it too nationals. They're going to run out of energy soon," Shimada explained quietly, regaining my attention.

"Well then, it looks like my obnoxiousness is finally going to come into play! We'll cheer them on!" I exclaimed happily as Seiko slapped my back and nodded in agreement.

"Okay, he does realize he isn't the main character, right?" I asked in an annoyed tone as Ushiwaka scored two points back to back.

"He's more like the main villain," Seiko added as the two of us slumped against the railing.

"Gagh! This is more back and forth then a ping pong match," I scowled as the score continued to flip flop between us having match point, and Shiritorizawa having match point.

"Of course they would get a net ball now," Akiteru sighed as I stared blankly at the court, eyeing the place where the ball had fallen moments ago from Ushiwaka's serve.

"Stupid fucking chia pet, looking like a stump with moss, almost crushing my ginger and shorty," I grumbled to myself, one insult after another.

"They're at match point," Yachi stammered as Ushiwaka sent his serve screaming over the net, just barely being picked up as Noya flew across the back.

"NOYAAAAA!" I screeched as the ball flew into the air and back over to Shiritorizawa.

Thankfully, Tsukki and Kageyama managed too shut out another spike from one of Shiritorizawa's players, tying us back up.

"Oh my god these nerds are going to be the death of-"

someone yelled from across the gym, rudely interrupting me.

I yelled back blindly, earning many laughs from people around the gym and a smirk from Nishinoya.

"That old fart is still coming to our games?" Ukai questioned as he looked across the gym too where the scream had come from.

"Seikooooo," I pleaded, "Nerf gun?"

"No."

"Rude," I grumbled, not that the bullet would make it all the way across the gym, but it was still worth a try. Maybe I'd acCidEntAlLy hit the chia pet😃

"Kageyama could've easily set the left side, but he likes to control everything," Akiteru thought out loud as Hinatas hit rebounded off Shiritorizawa's block, landing just outside the side lines.

"He's gloating. He wants to show that no matter how tired he gets, he won't stop. He's telling Shiritorizawa's middle blocker to keep his guard up," Ukai chimed in as he studied the court carefully.

"Kags is wayyyyy too persistent," I snickered as he went up to serve, adjusting for a soft serve which forced Shiritorizawa to send the ball back. It was easily received by Noya as Hinata went charging around the court, eventually going in for a kill behind Kageyama.

However, the set was a bit too short, and Hinata had to readjust and tap the ball over with his left hand. It brushed against number 5's hand before falling down onto Shiritorizawa's side of the court just out of reach of their receivers.
