~Y/N POV~

"GINGER DID IT! HAHAHA OH YEA!" I cheered obnoxiously loud as the gym erupted into applause for Hinata's moves.

"Yea! Good job Hinata!" Yachi cheered as she cupped her mouth too project her voice out.

"AHHH YEAAAA!" Seiko exclaimed as she pumped her fists in the air while the teams took their breaks.

"These nerds are gonna pay for making me this anxious," I said sternly once the cheering started too calm down, and the teams returned too the court.

"Wait, they're playing Sugawara!" Yachi exclaimed, pointing down as the team mother wandered onto the court.

"YEAAA GO SUGAMAMA!" I cheered as he turned and smiled at me before focusing on the game.

Karasuno started the game off strong with a nice kill from Asahi, but Shiritorizawa easily tied it up with a spike from Ushiwaka.

Thankfully, the next ball rebounded off number 5's block and landed outside the court, giving us another point.

"OOOOO NOYAAAA!" I exclaimed as he leapt into the air, about to pull off the attack where the libero sets up a synchronized attack with the entire team. He wound up setting Suga, who came in and CRUSHED a cross court shot right passed lava boy.

"I've never seen Suga spike before!" Yachi exclaimed as she clapped eagerly for the boys.

"I honestly thought Nishinoya was gonna play it safe," Takinoue added as my jaw dropped and I looked up at him.

"Did I just hear you use 'Nishinoya' and 'play it safe' in the same sentence?" I asked seriously as he raised an eyebrow and nodded.

"HAH, as if!" I cackled, earning a slap on the back from Seiko.

"She's right! I never thought I'd hear those things in the same sentence," she sighed in agreement.

"CAN YOU NOT YOU OVERGROWN CHIA PE-"

"Y/N!" Seiko cackled as I angrily began to insult Ushiwaka who just got his FIFTH point in a row against us.

"It's not my fault his batteries haven't died yet!" I exclaimed as she smirked and looked down at the court.

"Man, they must be exhausted by now," she sighed in a sing songy voice.

"Oh- wait a second," Yachi gasped as she pointed to Tsukishima who was clutching his hand in pain.

"What happened?" I asked, leaning forwards as Ukai, Takeda and Kiyoko went running onto the court.

~Third Person~

Tsukkishima slowly held his hand up too reveal the swelling and blood which dropped from the gap in his fingers.

"The force from the ball busted open your hand," coach Ukai gasped as he studied the boys injury. "Kazuhito!"

The boy quickly hurried over, as Tsukkishima's eyes darted around, and he was led off the court by Kiyoko.

"Aw man, this isn't good," Seiko sighed as Yachi and Akiteru went running off to locate the boy, Yachi and Y/N keeping their contacts open to update each other.

"Gagh! Come on you tall salt shaker! Why now of all times!" Y/N wailed as she banged her head on the railing a couple of times, only perking up when she heard a certain someone's voice.

"Kazuhito! Blocks aren't our only defensive strategy! I'll be there to follow you up!" the libero exclaimed happily as he pointed his thumbs at his chest.

"Remember, just like in practice!" Suga instructed as the boy nodded.

Meanwhile in the hallway, Yachi and Akiteru had located Kiyoko who was leading the stubborn Tsukishima too the medical office.

"Akiteru, I knew I saw you," he huffed as he brother ran towards him.

"Of course! I'm here to see my brother in his volleyball glory!" Akiteru exclaimed, earning a glare from his brother.

"Whatever, I was just starting to make mistakes. I needed the break," the tall blonde sighed as he clutched his injured hand, brushing past his brother.

"The others can handle this! You've got a good team!" his brother called out as he stared at the floor.

"Don't worry Tsukishima," Kiyoko chimed in, almost seeming to startle the three. "There's no way they would lose now."

~Y/N POV~

The tensions on the court were high now that we'd lost Tsukkishima, but all of the boys were still incredibly determined.

Thankfully, the boys had finally ended Ushiwaka's serving run after he took six points from them, putting the score at 5-8.

"They scored more then a third of the points they need with just Ushiwaka serving," Shimada sighed as Takinoue counted out the points on his fingers.

"See, I bet you all wish I used my nerf gun now," I sighed dramatically, crossing my arms as the three simply sighed, shaking their heads at me.

"OHMYGOD THEY'RE TRYING TO KILL HINATA!" I gasped as Asahi's next hit rebounded off the block, crashing into the side of Hinatas face and sending him flying back.

"Gagh! Kids gonna feel that tomorrow," Seiko cringed as we watched the ball fly into the air. Somehow, Hinata managed to recover quick enough to create a diversion so Tanaka could get a clean hit off.

"OOOO NICE ONE BALDY!" I cheered, eagerly updating Yachi with the current score.

"Look over there, Kageyama's warming up! Maybe he's going back in," Takinoue exclaimed as I looked up from my phone to see Kageyama jumping up and down with the subs.

"Oooo, so the tired boy has his energy back," I cooed as he continued to move his body around.

"Yea but, I hope Hinatas not hurt too bad. That block follow up was nasty," Seiko shook her head as she massaged her cheek as if she was the one who'd been hit.

See, I heard what she said, but something else caught my eye. The score was currently 6-9 for Shiritorizawa, but I could only see one thing. I suddenly burst out laughing, startling the three as I bent over.

"Oh god, she's gone crazy!" Seiko gasped as I shook my head and pointed too the scoreboard.

"Uhm, are we missing something?" Shimada asked as he looked between me and the board.

"PFFFFT, it's just....hahahaah...the score! It's 6-9!" I cackled as I clutched my stomach, the three adults around me still confused.

"Are we too old for this?" Seiko questioned as I finally managed to calm myself, standing up and whipping a tear.

"Psssh, 69!" I exclaimed, sending myself into a fit of laughter as Seiko finally understood what was so funny, entering the laughing fit with me.

"Oh my god," I heard Shimada mutter as him and Takinoue deadpanned, not knowing what to say.

"HAHAH, kid...this shouldn't...it shouldn't be this funny!" Seiko gasped as she slapped me on my back.

"I know! I don't get why I'm laughing so hard," I gasped as I clung too the railing for support. (okay but the way that this is something my dumb ass would actually do i- no❤️)

"Are you two done? Because now the score is 7-9 now," Shimada questioned as the two of us managed to somewhat regain our composure.

"AYYYY GOOD JOB KIDDOS!" I shrieked as Noya eagerly looked up to me and smiled.

"Oh, here he comes!" Takinoue exclaimed as Kageyama stood at the sideline, waiting too sub in for Sugamama.

"OH SHET!" I gasped as he went in a served a ball which was almost as powerful as a hit. (bruh it's the Oikawa fan behaviour for me✋🏼)

Shiritorizawa's libero received the ball, but it flew right back over the net to where Kageyama stood. Rather then waiting for a pass, he leapt up and set the ball off the first touch too Hinata who already hung in the air.

Before lava boy could even jump, Hinata had slammed the ball straight down using their new attack where Hinata only uses he wrist to hit the ball.

"YEAAAAAA GINGER!" I cheered as Shiritorizawa stared him down intimidatingly.

After that, the game was fairly back in forth with each team only gaining one point at a time. However, this pattern ended once Shiritorizawa got too double digits, earning consecutive points using a pinched server.

At this point the score was 9-12 for Shiritorizawa, so coach Ukai called a time out.

"COME ON LETS HEAR IT!" Seiko suddenly shouted as she turned around too face the cheering section. "RIGHT NOW IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME FOR THEM TO HEAR YOU!"

My eyes lit up as Seiko quickly organized a cheer which was by far the loudest one of the day.

The entire cheering section banged their noisemakers together as their voices thundered through the stadium. Big sis led the cheers as she pumped her fist in the air and I eagerly jumped up and down from excitement.

Suddenly, our cheers were cut off by the Shiritorizawa cheering section who broke into a SONG. They have a whole A N T H E M for their school. What in the frick.

"Oh nuh uh, I don't think so!" I exclaimed, digging through my bag for the surprise which I had been saving for the perfect moment.

I snickered too myself as I pulled out a rainbow, kids, xylophone, strapping the string around my neck and standing up with a gleam in my eye.

I grabbed one of Shimadas noise makers and held it next to the instrument so the sound would be projected a bit further.

"Oh my god," I heard Seiko snicker as I held the mallets in my hands and started to play the tune too 'Under The Sea' from the little mermaid. (yes. under the sea. its a catchy tune plus its 2am and the song is stuck in my head.)

"Come on Seiko! Get them cheering again!" I exclaimed as the attention of the gym was turned too me, and she eagerly nodded and waited for me too finish the intro.

As I finished off the intro with a dramatic slap against the keys, Seiko immediately got the cheers going again, and I peered down too see Noya giving me the biggest smile I've ever seen.

I couldn't help but grin back, giving him a thumbs up as the timeout was finished.

The cheers continued as Tanaka received the serve from Shiritorizawa, unfortunately sending it back over the net. Not at all surprisingly, they set up Ushiwaka who eagerly rushed in for the kill.

However, the kill was stopped by HINATA who went in for the block about...3 feet? AWAY? From the net? I don't know if he did it on purpose or not but somehow it succeeded, and the ball flew all the way to the back of Shiritorizawa's side of the court.

"GINGER WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" I gasped as Shiritorizawa's cheering section went completely silent while ours erupted into applause.

"Karasuno hit double digits!" Seiko exclaimed as I looked to the scoreboard which now read 12-10.

"See! It's the magic of the xylophone," I smirked, dragging one of the mallets along the entire instrument.

"I don't know about that but they sure seem to be in the game now!" Shimada exclaimed as I scoffed and crossed my arms.

Coach then put Tadashi in too serve who worked us up too a tie at 12 points. The next serve he made went flying right through dora the explorers hands, landing outside the court after he touched it.

"YEAAAAA BABY STRAWBERRY!" I cheered, zipping my mallet back and forth on the xylophone.

lol if Tsukki were here I'd already be 6ft under.

"Ooooo," I cringed as Noya dug a ball up only too have it slammed back down again by Ushiwaka. "BRO JUST BACK OFF MY SHORT- MAPDJWJWN."

I turned my head and glared at Seiko who shook her head and smirked at me.

"You never learn," she snickered as I crossed my arms and continued too tap along on my xylophone because we all know I can't be quiet for more then 10 seconds.

"Beep, boop, bee, boo, bee," I hummed through Seikos hands as Yachi suddenly came charging back onto the balcony, gasping for breath as she stared at the court.

"Yachi?" Seiko gasped as I looked up too see Tsukkishima charging into the gym with Kiyoko hot on his heels.

"AWWWW YEAAAA!" I exclaimed as he rushed in front of coach Ukai, blabbering something as quickly as his mouth would move.

"So what's the story?" Seiko gasped as Kiyoko nodded too Ukai and Tsukki took a seat on the bench.

"Oh, Tsukki injured his pinkie. They stopped the bleeding, and secured it too his ring finger for support but... he's probably still in a lot of pain."
