《Blood to Love | 3rd year》28- Charades

"How about a game of charades?" I finally piped up after nobody gave any good game suggestions.
"What is charades?" Ron asked.
"We can get into three teams and we will need parchment. There will be a word on a piece that we pull out that we also have to act out. You can't talk, only act. While acting out, your team has to guess, when the time runs out however many your team guessed, that's how many points you receive. Then we will go around for each team until all of us has gone," Hermione stated excitedly, knowing exactly about the familiar Muggle game.
"First we need parchment with random words, parchment to keep score, and a timer," Harry said.
Right after he said that, a bucket of small parchment slips with random words appeared in the middle of the circle, along with a score card, and a one minute timer.
"How?" I bizarrely questioned.
"It's the room of requirement," Draco stated with irritation.
"Right."
"How should we choose teams then?" Hermione asked the group.
Right as she said that, another piece of parchment appeared out of thin air with our names grouped in threes.
"The room wants Fred, Ron, and Blaise on team one. Then George, Pansy, and Hermione on team two. Which leaves, wonderful, Draco, Harry, and I in team three," I said.
We all shuffled near our teammates and got ready for Fred to act out whatever was on his paper and for Ron and Blaise to guess.
Fred stood up and faced Ron and Blaise. We started the timer and Fred glanced at his card. He then put his hand to his fist and began lip syncing. He put on a whole concert while Blaise and Ron shouted words.
"Concert!"
"Song!"
"Sing!"
Fred nodded at the last option and picked up the next card. He zipped up his fly and that was all.
"Toilet!"
"Fly!"
"Pee?"
"Zipper!"
Fred nodded and I whispered to Harry, "Ron's quite good at guessing."
He verbally agreed and we both turned back to Fred who was now holding his fist up to his cheeks and chin while rubbing down in a smooth motion.
"Shave!"
Fred nodded and was about to pick up another card but stopped abruptly, looking at the timer.
"Times up!" Hermione shouted. "You guys have three points."
"Team two who are you choosing?" Harry asked.
"George," Pansy finalized.
George jumped up and picked a paper out of the small bucket. Once he had a good look at it he began to act while Pansy and Hermione attempted to guess.
The timer started and George dropped to the ground.
"Dead!" Hermione pleaded.
George smiled and held up a thumbs up at her guess and picked a new paper out of the bucket. George began fake licking his hand.
"Cat!" Hermione called out, which was, once again, correct.
Harry gave me a impressed glare that was related to Hermione's guessing and I widened my eyes towards him to imply that I felt the same shock he did.
George then began putting one hand above another along with his feet as if he was climbing.
"Climbing?" Pansy guessed, apparently incorrectly.
"Ladder!" Hermione said.
George grinned at her and went on to the next piece of parchment very quickly. George then pounded both of his hands together to act out this word.
"Smash!"
"Obliterate?"
"Destroy!"
They continued throwing guesses and George began to give up. All of the sudden he pointed over to me and I furrowed my eyebrows, completely confused as to what he was representing.

"Crush!" Hermione solved it.
I blushed intensely and George nodded and glanced at the timer that had just ended.
"You guys got four points." Blaise grinned at me, to which I turned my head and noticed Draco raising his eyebrows at me.
"I'll go." Draco cockily jumped up the center of the circle.
"Go," Hermione said as the timer started.
Draco picked up a piece of parchment and rolled his eyes and glared at us.
"Go, Draco!" I yelled.
He put his hand on his hip and started walking back and forth which caused me to burst into intense laughter.
"Model," Harry guessed.
Draco sighed a breath of relief as Harry got it right and he picked up a new paper out of the bucket. He began combing his hair with his fingers.
"Hairbrush!" Harry and I yelled.
He nodded and picked another paper. He sighed once again and ran over to hug Blaise.
"Hug?" I guessed to which he nodded.
Time was slowly dying and we most likely only had time for one more guess. Draco read the parchment and then got down on one knee right in front of me.
"I do," I teased.
He groaned and Harry guessed "propose" correctly and the time was finally up.
"You guys get four points as well," Blaise recorded.
Ron went next and we was absolutely terrible at acting. They only got two points, mostly out of sheer luck, and it was finally time for Pansy to represent team two. Pansy was also terrible at acting and got two points as well.
Next up was Harry. Hermione began the timer and Harry glanced at the small piece of parchment that he grabbed.
Harry immediately pointed to his forehead where his scar was located.
"Lighting bolt?" Draco guessed.
"Scar!" I yelled correctly, which earned me a glare from Draco.
Harry picked out another paper and uneasily looked at it.
"Queasy?" I started guessing incorrectly. "C'mon Harry what does it say?"
He placed his hand up and awkwardly touched it with his lips.
"Peck? Bird! Owl?" Draco yelled repeatedly.
I stood up dramatically and gestured for Harry to do better at acting. He stood there thinking for a moment and aggressively grabbed my wrist and shoved me into his lips for a kiss. I froze up and allowed him to deepen the kiss slightly, caught up in the moment.
Blaise swiftly began slowly clapping and Harry pulled away after a second and apologized while George's face heated up out of fury.
"Kiss," I whispered while smiling.
He nodded and everyone stood in an awkward silence for a few seconds; the timer had definitely ended by now.
"Enough everyone! It is a silly little game and Harry was respectful about it."
I still laughed nervously after my remark.
They all nervously laughed along and I rolled my eyes. "Two points to us then."
"How about another one for the kiss?" Blaise smirked.
George grunted and Blaise continued recording the points and it was the final round for each team. Blaise was up next. He acted out a few words: a guitar, pillow, and car. Their team was now finished with eight points.
Hermione was up next for the second team and she did brilliantly, similar to her guessing skills. They got three points as well with the words scream, headache, and shower.
It was finally my turn to act and I began once Hermione started the time. I gripped a piece of parchment out of the small bucket and it said so I simply pointed to myself, Pansy, and Hermione.

"Girls?" Draco asked, to which I shook my head.
"Women?" Harry shouted eagerly, obviously loving the competition.
I nodded and picked up the next piece of paper: .
I pointed at myself and they just guessed girl and my name again which I furrowed my brows at. I did a fake, inaudible laugh which made them guess laughter but I shook my head feeling frustrated. I then pointed to Harry and began laughing which just made them guess bully. I finally pretended to make a joke and then put my hair up to pretend and be a new person laughing. After that, I went back to my normal state as the person who made the joke and they finally guessed funny.
After that interesting attempt, the time ended and team two got nine points as team one and three (Harry, Draco, and I) tied for eight, not including the kiss point that Blaise offered to add. Only an hour or so had passed but we sat and talked to one another, not bickering, like we've always desired.
Surprisingly it wasn't awkward. I sat there and talked with George, Draco, Ron, and Hermione. On the other side of the room sat Harry, Fred, Pansy, and Blaise who were in an unknown conversation. I smiled at the scene of joy around me and engaged in the conversation about our grades.
After an afternoon of Slytherin and Gryffindors conversing and paradoxically getting along, it was time to depart from one another and head to lunch. We all decided to walked out together until we got to the Great Hall.
Hermione turned to me and opened her mouth to speak but Draco tapped her back and she halted. She then turned to Draco and I heard him say that he wanted to speak to her. She looked around, baffled, but followed after Draco near an empty classroom. I shuddered for a few seconds, wondering what he was planning when dragging her away.
"I'm actually going to sit with Blaise and Pansy, I'll sit with you tomorrow," I told George.
He nodded and I made my way over to the Slytherin table. Blaise and Pansy didn't expect me to sit with them so they sat next to each other rather than their usual seats across from one another. However, now that Draco wasn't here for the moment, it wasn't a big deal.
"I can move if you want!" Blaise immediately offered.
I waved him off. "No need, it's okay."
I admired Blaise for his willingness to go against what he wanted and do anything for his friends. But it really wasn't necessary.
"How have you two been?" I asked while biting into a piece of chewy steak and referring to their relationship.
"We've been great, we actually are going to go to Hogsmeade together this weekend for a — date." He nervously laughed.
"Don't be scared to say 'date' around me, Blaise."
"Sorry," he said as he grinned.
"You can be so awkward when you want."
Pansy nodded in agreement and we began talking about how fun the game of charades went.
"I told you we would be able to get along eventually," Blaise braggingly replied.
We talked for a bit longer but became utterly silent when Draco wistfully sat down.
"What'd you say?" I whispered as he sat down next to me and put his hand under his chin to prop up his big head.
"I just told her that I couldn't continue whatever our relationship was," he whispered sadly back.
"I'm sorry," I said, now becoming the awkward one at the table.
Pansy and Blaise began their own conversation. They seemed to want to avoid questioning Draco out of respect. I did the same and stayed silent while eating a salad. I glanced over at the Gryffindor table and got a wink from George which I slightly blushed at but turned away to see where Hermione was. She was sitting in between Ron and Harry while they patted her back comfortingly.
I decided to be nice and wrap my arm around Draco's shoulders and give him a light shake.
"It's going to be okay," I attempted to console.
"I suppose."
I smiled. "Stealing my phrases now?"
"You think 'I suppose' is your phrase?"
"I say it daily, it's about time that I officially claim it."
"So, you don't hate me anymore?"
"I never hated you, Malfoy. But regarding forgiving you about Buckbeak, still no."
"Whatever, master." He lightly smiled, distracting himself from Hermione.
"Master? Who am I, Dobby?"
"I love Dobby." Draco gasped, recalling the memories.
"I forgot he was your elf!"
"When I was a baby, he used to hold me because Lucious wouldn't. He even asked Mum if he could be my dad."
"How'd she feel about that?"
"Well she told him that I already have a dad but that he could be my godfather."
"Malfoy, you have an elf godfather? How sweet."
"Don't you dare tell anyone that story," he emphasized.
"I promise, Malfoy," I said with an evil smirk.
"I'm serious. I will kill you if I hear that story come from yours or anyone else's mouth."
"I'm not going to tell. Calm down, George."
"Excuse me?"
"Malfoy, that's what I meant."
He narrowed his eyes at me and cut his steak into small squares to chew. I went back to eating while he continued telling me stories about his childhood with Dobby. The memories seemed to make him smile, unlike the memories he makes with his family at present time.
"You seemed to be a happy child, at least."
"It was pretty great as I remember, up until my father got super involved with the ministry and expected a better son than he received."
"Stop that. Stop degrading yourself because of your fathers standards. Imagine if I did that, I would be in a dark place. It's bad enough hearing my father shout at me in nightmares but if I replayed his words during the day, Merlin knows —" I stopped myself immediately once I realized I was opening up and rambling to Draco. "Well let's just say I wouldn't be happy if I compare myself to my fathers standards and you shouldn't either."
"I'm sorry about your sister and parents," he whispered solemnly.
I nodded, feeling the same way. All I wanted was for her death to stop affecting me. It was a curse to experience grief and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone.
Though his apology sounded genuine, it still shocked me and made me a little hopeful that Draco actually cared for someone other than himself.
"I overheard you talking about going to Hogsmeade this weekend. If it's not an issue, I'd be happy to join you," he hinted.
"I think that'd be fine," I contently stated.
"Just fine?"
"Hush, your voice is ruining the beautiful silence."
He faked being insulted. "Is it that bad?"
"Yes, yes it is."
"I'm off to the common room," I stated after a moment of silence.
"We are coming," Blaise and Pansy decided.
"Malfoy?" I asked.
"I think I'm just going to head to my dorm for the night."
I nodded and us four headed to the Slytherin common room, dodging through the crowd all the while.
Once we arrived the password had changed from 'Drarry' to 'Snape' which is still quite creepy if you asked me.
Draco miserably walked off to his dorm and we allowed him, as we knew he needed time to get over Hermione. On the contrary, Blaise, Pansy, and I sat on the couch talking and being our normal weird selves around each other while the other students conversed around the room, doing their own thing and avoiding us, as we had a reputation to be quite mean to younger students.
Before we knew it, the time had passed by quickly and we were becoming increasing tired by the minute. I crashed on my bed as soon as I arrived and slept wonderfully, unlike most nights.
