《Blood to Love | 3rd year》30- The Start of Something New

It was finally Friday.
The week had sped by quickly and classes went normally as well. It was the last day of the week and tomorrow I was planning on going to Hogsmeade with the Gryffindors and possibly Draco while Blaise and Pansy had their date.
The day went by as a blur as well and nothing memorable happened in any class. By the time I knew it, I was plopped down in Transfiguration, praying that I didn't fail the quiz. For said quiz, we had to successfully turn our teacups into tortoises like we had been practicing the whole week.
"Y/n, you're next," McGonagall said while walking over to my table.
I turned the teacup into a tortoise, although it was an ugly one, meaning my chances for extra points didn't work out.
McGonagall scribbled down a grade and turned to Draco to speak, "Mr. Malfoy?"
Draco eventually turned the teacup into a miniature tortoise and called it a day.
"How cute," I said to him while he transfigured the tortoise back to a teacup.
"It looked like a toad." He grimaced.
I lightly laughed at him and before I knew it, class ended. I left the classroom eagerly and walked side by side with Draco to the Slytherin common room.
"Are you still allowing me to come to Hogsmeade with you and the trio?" Draco questioned.
"I'll ask them but it shouldn't be an issue. Why?"
"Just wondering so I can make other plans if necessary," he explained.
"Come on," I said while grabbing his wrist and pulling him all the way to the Gryffindor common room.
"What? I shouldn't be there to ask!"
He became instantly horrified at the thought of someone figuring out he wanted to hang with any Gryffindors.
"You want to go to Hogsmeade, you are going to be there when I ask."
He sighed and thankfully, Ginny was walking into the Gryffindor common room so we followed in after her.
"Thanks for letting me in," I said, turning to face her. "You're Ron's sister, right?"
"I go by Ginny, but yes. Oh! I'm sorry! You're Ron's girlfriend!"
"Well — not anymore," I stuttered.
"Right, now it's George."
"That sounds terrible." I chuckled while letting go of Draco's wrist once she glanced at our hands.
"Must be awful for you. Honestly I don't know how you stand them. They're atrocious." She winced at her own words.
"Well I ought to get going, it was lovely to meet you," I kindly said while not knowing how to respond to her perception on her two brothers.
"See you around?" she asked to which I nodded quickly and sprinted up to the boys dormitory with Draco following after me.
I noticed Dean Thomas walk out of his dorm and he glanced oddly at me as I passed him in the small hallway.
I walked into the room that he just exited and luckily Ron and Hermione were sitting in there with a textbook on their laps.
"Hello, friends," I greeted. "I've brought someone."
Draco emerged from behind me and Ron lifted a finger and face it a small wave while Hermione grunted and turned back to her textbook.
"Do you guys care if Draco comes to Hogsmeade with us tomorrow?" I begged.
"That's not my decision," Hermione informed us dismissively.
"Bloody hell. I personally —" Ron began.
"Ron! I told you stop saying that!" Hermione urged.
"Oh sorry!" Ron sent an apologetic smile to Hermione. "I personally don't care much — about him going."

"Great. Thanks guys!" I said while turning around to leave the room.
Right when I turned to lead Draco out, I heard a familiar voice.
"Ron can you grab me some —"
I turned back into the room and saw Harry, who had just walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his waist and messy hair sat upon his head.
I heard him curse under his breath as he noticed me and Draco in the doorway and he zoomed back into the bathroom, locking the door behind him.
I stood with my mouth agape and Draco rubbed his temple as if that could erase the memory from his mind.
"Bloody —" Ron began.
"Ron!"
"Bloody chicken!" Ron rephrased his sentence to suit Hermione's pure mind.
"I think we're going to go." I winced.
"I think I'm going to pitch myself off the Astronomy Tower," Draco whispered to me while we walked back to our common room.
"Don't be so dramatic. It wasn't the worse thing we could've seen all day," I optimistically said.
"You're a girl!"
"And what about it? You're the one with the 'Drarry' reputation."
"Speak of it again and I'll kill you." Draco turned to me, his eyes threatening.
"What would your father say about that?" I gave my best fake smile.
"What's with you and my father?"
"He likes me and I appreciate him talking to me!" I defended his own dad.
"Seems like more than a dad figure to you."
"Maybe he is," I jested. "Have you seen my kiss list?"
Draco furrowed his eyebrows at me and we reached the bottom step of the Gryffindor common room. Ginny turned to look at me once again and glanced at Draco's confused face. I suppose she was bored because she walked back up to us and began talking.
"I know we aren't close but you guys seem fun to hang out with and seeing as I have nothing better to do than shall we?" she boldy asked.
"You want us to hang with a weasel?" Draco looked her up and down in disgust.
"Shut up, Malfoy. Of course you can hang out with us."
"Great, where are you headed?"
"Our common room," I said while glancing at Draco who looked quite annoyed at the second year redhead.
"Malfoy, why do you look so confused?" Ginny addressed Draco.
"Y/n was telling me about some kiss list," he said instead of saying that he didn't want her in his presence.
We arrived at the Slytherin common room and the door was already propped open so we decided to walk in and sit on the emerald green couch while Ginny glanced around in awe.
"Tell me more about this kiss list," she curiously urged.
"Merlins beard. Well, I have a list of people who I would like to kiss and who I have kissed," I began.
"Start with who you've kissed," Draco engaged in the conversation.
"You're interested in this? Wow. Okay, so I have kissed Ron, Harry, and Adrian Pucey."
"You kissed Pucey?" Ginny widened her eyes and Draco shifted uncomfortably.
"Actually I was leaving him and he unwillingly kissed me," I explained and they nodded as if it were a normal occurrence.
"How about who you want to kiss?" Draco encouraged.
"Fred, George Weasley, Muggle George and Lucious," I added to get a rise out of Draco.
He looked at me in disgust as he had with Ginny minutes before, but Ginny could instantly tell I was kidding.

"You want to kiss the twins and some Muggle?" Ginny questioned. "That's all?"
"I don't know many people!" I emphasized.
"How about Neville or a professor?" She wiggled her eyebrows.
"Ginny, you are insane?" I slipped a smirk.
"So there is one?"
"Enlighten us," Draco urged.
"I suppose Lupin isn't bad looking."
"What about Snape?" Ginny grinned.
"I don't want to speak anymore." I embarrassedly covered my face.
"If I got the hottest men in the room right now who would it consist of?"
"Probably your twin brothers, Oliver Wood, Blaise, Harry, Ron, and I suppose Malfoy could stay."
He raised an eyebrow at me and I glared at him intensely, attempting to make it known that he isn't special in any way.
"Let's do it!" She jumped up and scurried out of the room.
"Malfoy, what is she doing?"
"I like this girl. She is spontaneous," Draco admired.
"You're telling me she is about to gather all the guys I just listed?" I asked while covering my face again in defeat.
"Lighten up! It'll be interesting." Draco grinned mischievously.
As he said that, the twins walked in and sat down next to me on the couch without questioning anything. Next came Blaise and Oliver. After a few more minutes, Harry awkwardly walked in and sat on the floor with the others. Ginny walked in beside Ron and then stood in front of the guys.
"You are gathered here today because you are hot." She smiled at me.
"Excuse me?" Ron looked around at the others confused.
"I wanted to get all the hot guys in one room." Ginny shrugged.
"So this was your list?" George whispered from next to me.
I buried my head in his chest and he rubbed my hair playfully.
"Not terrible taste," Fred jested.
"Shut up."
"So that's all?" Blaise asked.
"Basically," Ginny plainly said.
"I'm flattered L/n, but I have a girlfriend." Blaise winked, recalling my exact words when receiving flirting lessons.
I glared at him because he just announced that it was my list of guys even though it was quite obvious. I wouldn't think Ginny would've brought her brothers into the room if it were her list.
"If you were into Quidditch I could coach you," Oliver whispered to me abruptly and zipped out of the room.
"I don't think I should be here." Ron grunted while exiting the room.
"Thanks, Y/n," Harry called out while running after Ron, fortunately, fully clothed this time.
The twins said they had to go back to pranking and Draco sat there, staring at me, without saying anything.
"Staring won't give you the power to see through my clothes," I said towards Draco and he smirked.
"I've got to go. Fred and George are teaching me how to play better pranks but I had fun. Let's do it again sometime!" Ginny called out.
"That was interesting," I whispered to Draco.
"You've always got something interesting going on," Draco announced.
"That's not true. I'm one of the most boring people in the world."
"Do you know you? You've kissed three guys in the last month, you just lead me to the Gryffindor room to see Harry Potter naked and you think that your life is boring?" Draco said, obviously surprised.
"It's a little interesting but nothing compared to Harry himself."
"He's the 'chosen one' I don't know what you expect."
"I'm bored, Malfoy," I unsubtly changed the subject.
"Want to do homework?"
"I really don't want to." I looked over at him and gave him puppy eyes.
"What do you want me to do about it?"
"Make up a fun game or take me somewhere?" I pleaded.
"You constantly need entertainment, I can't keep up with it."
"Then don't hang out with me," I blankly said, while walking up the stairs to my dorm.
He looked around the common room in absolute bewilderment and rushed up to my dorm after me.
I laid in my bed and he sat on my trunk at the end of it. I stared at the ceiling and we were in a comfortable silence.
"How can I gain your trust?" he suddenly asked.
"I wish you could reverse Buckbeak's execution." I sighed. "I know you can't though. However, you're coming around, slowly."
"Great," he sarcastically whispered.
"Are you still upset about Hermione?" I deeply questioned back while he briskly glanced at the ground.
"It stings, but I'm fine."
"That's what they all say."
"How'd you get over Ron so fast?"
"I don't think I'll ever be entirely over him but I distracted myself and found other people to waste my time with."
"It was easy for you. You had winter break to get away from him and sort yourself out."
"Malfoy, I think that your problem is your father and other people. You've got to stop caring what everyone thinks and you've got to like yourself before anyone else," I advised.
"Does anyone truly love themselves?" he curiously, yet wisely, questioned.
"I'd like to think people do, me included. At least fake it until you make it."
"Where'd you learn that?" he questioned, standing up and laying face up next to me in my bed.
"My dad said it to my mom after my sister died. He was referring to faking being happy. It was truly pathetic. As if it was a sin to be sad over your child's death."
"What is your goal in life?" he questioned, similar to the interrogation his father gave me at most dinners, yet more intimate and sincere.
It took me a second to respond, thinking about what I'd truly like after school if I could have whatever I wanted. "I'd like to travel and enjoy my childhood and then one day settle down and possibly have kids who would get to experience it here at Hogwarts. What do you want, Malfoy?"
"I want Hermione to admit that she likes Ron back. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure. I'd give everything to meet my future self though."
"What would you ask him?"
"What kept you going all these dreadful years? Was it a girl? Was it mum?"
"Keep going, Malfoy. If not for yourself, then for Narcissa, Blaise, Pansy, and me. Keep going for me," I whispered sadly.
"I'm going," he assured while turning to face me, still laying down.
I was nervous to look over, as our faces would be drastically close.
"What would you asked your future self?" he said, changing the subject from his own vulnerability.
"Why do you settle for less than you are worth? That's what I'd ask."
"What do you mean by that?"
"Why do I listen my parents continuously in the dreams? Why do I let them blame me for everything? Why did I continue dating Ron when I knew that he was in love with someone else? Why do I drop my standards when I know I'm worth more than that?" I continued rhetorically asking.
"At least you know your worth," Draco said, still looking my way.
"When did we get to this point in life?"
"You mean the point in which I hate myself and you blame yourself for death?" He lightly laughed it off.
"Well, yes. However, I was referring to confiding in one another."
"I suppose we are just two lost specks in the world, greatly in need of a map."
"I like that," I said, finally turning my head to face him.
I gazed around his face. His eyes looked dark and he had light bags under them as well. I remembered his struggles with nightmares, similar to mine. He scoped out my face as well and I stayed silent.
"I know you still hate me over Buckbeak but I'm sorry. I listened to Justin Bieber yesterday for you." He grinned, turning back to face the ceiling.
"No you didn't! How'd you like it?" I excitedly asked.
"Let's just say my father will not being hearing about it."
I bursted out laughing and he smiled while looking over to me once more.
I hopped up. "Let's go to dinner."
"After you." He gestured me to lead the way.
We walked to the great hall and I willingly sat next to Draco this time. He then began telling me about the assortment of Justin Bieber songs he listened to and I couldn't help but burst out laughing every time he said a new one.
"Why are you laughing so much?" he asked.
"Draco Malfoy listening to Justin Bieber." It was a sight to imagine.
He rolled his eyes at me and continued listing the songs he listened to.
"I listened to Boyfriend as well."
That was my last straw. I couldn't breathe because of my laughter and I began slapping his shoulder. As I was laughing, I got a glimpse of Snape looking to me and then to McGonagall sending a wink her way.
"Quit hitting me!" he groaned.
"I can't! It's too funny."
"You're insane!"
"You still love me." I smiled.
"That's debatable."
I glared at him and took my hand off of his shoulder as Blaise and Pansy arrived. I glanced at the Gryffindor table and noticed the trio was gone. I wracked my brain as to where they could be but nothing came to mind.
"Excited for your date tomorrow?" I giddily asked as they sat down.
"Very," Blaise said elatedly.
"While you guys are off making out in the supply cabinet at Zonko's, the trio, Draco and I will be roaming around and I'll be practicing my pick up lines."
Pansy giggled. "I almost forgot about that!"
I decided to tell her about the flirting lessons from the two boys after all the weird glances she gave me when I was practicing on others.
I grinned at my thoughts and turned to Draco to play a small prank on him.
"'My mama don't like you but she likes everyone.'"
"Stop, we are not singing Justin Bieber songs in the middle of dinner," Draco demanded.
"Your such a grump."
"Get used to it."
During dinner, we discussed our plans for Hogsmeade tomorrow. Once dinner ended, we all walked together to the Slytherin common room.
After arriving, we all collectively decided to complete our load of homework. It took a few hours to catch up on the weeks work, but I didn't want to head to sleep when I did end of finishing, as wasn't obligated to get up early.
"Let's go play Quidditch," Draco suggested.
I nodded but Pansy and Blaise decided to stay back and finish their homework together.
We rushed through the halls but weren't worried to get caught due to it not being quite curfew yet.
"Whoever gets there first wins!" I yelled while sprinting to the locker rooms.
He whispered a curse but sprinted after me. He caught up to me and looked over, then he passed me up. Once we stopped outside the changing area we were panting.
"You're — slow. I — won — by — far," he said between pants.
"You're — just — really tall," I retorted in between breaths as well.
"What are you two doing here?" Fred and George called out from down the hall.
I eventually caught my breath and answered them.
"We were about to practice."
"We're coming!" Fred grinned to which earned him a scoff from Draco.
I grabbed a broom out of the changing room and walked out to the pitch while Draco and the twins were grabbing their brooms. Oliver wood was on the field and I furrowed my brows at him. I hovered on my broom and flew over to him speedily despite my confusion.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Practicing!" he said in his thick, Scottish accent. "What are you doing here?"
"I brought Draco, Fred, and George to practice as well."
"Let's scrimmage!" Oliver's eyes lit up at the thought of scrimmaging which made me smile at his dedication to the sport.
"Okay!" I agreed which made his eyes twinkle even brighter.
Fred, George, and Draco all flew up to where Oliver and I were hovering.
"Let's do a small scrimmage," I suggested to the three of them as they arrived.
"Me, Y/n, and Fred," Oliver said.
"Draco and George?" I winced.
"I'm actually just going to sit this one out, it's going to be more interesting to watch." Fred winked.
"It'll be fine, love," George whispered to me, placing a soft kiss on my cheek.
We were only using bludgers. Draco and I were chasers and Oliver and George were keepers.
Fred threw the ball up in the middle and Draco and I reached for it. Draco caught it easily so I flew side by side with him and shoved him to the right which made him drop the bludger. I beamed at him and flew down to catch it.
I reached down below me and gripped it. Draco was on the tail of my broom so I sped up as much as I could. The wind made my eyes water but I continued on to the three rings that George was guarding. I threw the bludger into the left hoop and it went right in. I did a small victory dance and Draco shook his head teasingly at me.
"You're just mad because I'm better than you!" I yelled at him.
"Yeah, okay!" he sarcastically called back.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

They don't hate him, but they would rather not have anything to do with him. Disclaimer: My grammar is crap, and you have the right to tell me just how much I suck at writing. Also if your feeling like this series is very much like Arifureta, then I'm sorry. Because the beginning of this story will sound very much like that series.
