《Blood to Love | 3rd year》37- Gryffindor Triumphs

Slowly but surely, I fell asleep. However, it was not the kind of sleep that most wish for. It was the type where you constantly wake up in the middle of the night and you can't fall back asleep for another hour. There was also a constant voice echoing in my head telling me to go back to sleep every time my eyes opened. If only it were that easy.
Time felt slower than usual. The clock in the hospital wing continuously ticked and tocked until my ears blocked it out completely out of mass frustration. I didn't know exactly what time is was but I knew that it had to have been at least dawn on this Sunday morning, meaning Madam Pomfrey was sure to be here early for work.
I closed my eyes one last time, hoping to fall asleep like I had been trying for an hour or so. To my pleasure, my eyes slammed shut and I left the world to enter my dreaming state. It was a blessing that I had a normal dream for once; my sister was completely ridden from my thoughts.
However, this particular dream was very interesting. Don't get me wrong, it was much better than killing my sister but it was still something I wouldn't have wanted to share with my close friends or relatives, that is, if I had any.
I stopped fighting the dream away and simply watched it take action within my closed eyes and broad imagination.
Draco was standing there. We were together at a Muggle amusement park. I begged him to ride the tall roller coaster to our right and he surprisingly looked frightened.
I then grabbed his wrist and sprinted to the roller coaster ride, to which we hopped on immediately. I sat next to him, looking at the assortment of trees and people below me as we made our way up the chain link to the peak of the coaster.
We finally reached the top and I looked over to him. He was seemingly calm. His eyes glowed in the summer sunlight and he made direct eye contact with me.
"What are you staring at?" he asked.
"You."
He was still as arrogant as in real life, at least I got one thing accurate. Although I'm not sure that I should be dreaming about Draco, or praising his arrogance.
The roller coaster came to a sudden halt and we continued staring at one another.
"You're all I've ever wanted," he whispered to me.
"And you're all I need," I replied while leaning in simultaneously.
The coaster dropped suddenly and I awoke with a jolt, back into reality and in my assigned hospital wing bed.
To my absolute shock, Draco was sitting in a chair right next to my bed. He looked as if he was going to jump up and help me, though he realized I was awake and sighed a breath of relief.
"Was it your sister?" he questioned.
I shook my head no, which I immediately regretted.
"What was it?"
"Nothing," I nervously replied.
"You can tell me."
"I know."
"Inform me then," he began while forming a small grin on his mouth as he spoke his next lines. "Or was it about me?"
"What?" I asked, looking bewildered at his true assumption.
"It was a joke, L/n. Although you're getting all weird and I assume that it really was about me."
"Go away." I groaned defeatedly.
"What was it about?"
"I never said anything!"
He smirked evilly. "You didn't have to."

"It was about a roller coaster," I spoke truthfully.
"Was I there?" he pestered.
I didn't answer him and decided to simply turned my back to face the plain curtains.
"You can hide but that doesn't mean I won't keep asking."
A small smile formed on my face as if I wanted to tell him. I scolded myself violently in my head and thought about how awful that was for me think about when I was perfectly stable with George.
"So we were on a roller coaster together?" he continued on.
"Yes," I whispered so quietly that I was shocked he heard it escape my lips.
"Ahh, you were scared and I had to hold your hand?" he guessed while standing up from his chair and inching closer to my bed.
I shook my head and he took few seconds to come up with a new crazy scenario.
"I was scared?"
He chuckled after imagining himself being scared and I rolled my eyes even though he couldn't see me.
"You were at first," I hinted.
"So we got to the top of the roller coaster and I wasn't scared because we kissed?"
"That's so cliché, but absolutely not."
"Calm down, it was just a wild guess."
"Stop talking," I begged as I felt him sit next to me in the bed.
"Are you blushing over there?" he questioned with a snide tone in his voice.
At that moment, I will admit that my face was slowly heating up. I shoved all the weird feelings that uprised when Draco spoke to me and focused on the upcoming Quidditch game.
"Of course I wasn't," I finally replied, inhaling deeply. "Anyway, how do I get to the Quidditch match?"
"Just leave."
"I can't do that. She'll go looking for me," I said while turning back around to face him and hoping that my face didn't resemble that of a tomato.
"Ask if you can go then."
"That's rich coming from you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"I meant that you are always one for breaking the rules and you think I can simply ask to leave?"
"Just because I don't always follow the rules doesn't mean that you have to follow suit."
"Of course it doesn't, Malfoy. I'll have you know that I had a reputation even before I met you."
He rolled his eyes and I sat up confidently in the small bed, facing him directly.
"Go get Madam Pomfrey," I demanded after a moment of silence.
"Make me."
"Do you always have to be so stubborn?"
"Only for you."
"Aw, does somebody like me?" I jested.
"Loads," he sarcastically muttered while getting up and opening the curtain to retrieve Madam Pomfrey.
I smiled as he obeyed to my request and soon enough Madam Pomfrey walked in through the curtain while Draco sat back in his seat to watch the persuading commence.
"I'm feeling better and the Quidditch game is very soon," I hinted.
"No headache?" she worriedly asked to which I eagerly shook my head.
"You're sitting up fine, you've been conversing with Draco without any problems. I suppose you're healed up."
I squealed and jumped up from the hospital bed to give her a hug. She hesitated at first but sunk into the hug that only lasted a few seconds.
Once she officially cleared me from the hospital wing, I grabbed Draco by the wrist and rushed out of there as if I had just received freedom.

"You're coming to the game, right?" I asked.
"No, I wasn't planning on it."
"You are now," I said while hauling him to the Slytherin common room.
People were gathered around in blue attire to support Ravenclaw rather than Gryffindor. I ignored all of them and walked into my dorm to find an outfit for the game.
"Is it cold outside?" I asked Draco.
"It's average."
I nodded at his answer and discovered George's red Gryffindor sweater in my closet. I threw it on and Draco raised his eyebrows at me.
"Nervous around me?" I questioned, teasingly.
"You wish."
I laughed at him then went ahead and pulled a pair of jeans on. Following that, I walked into the bathroom and curled my hair using my wand and the mirror. Draco patiently sat on my bed, watching me curl each individual piece of hair.
Once I finished, the game was about to began and we rushed outdoors. The wind only lightly blew my hair around while I led Draco the the Gryffindor-pact side of the stands.
We traveled up the staircases and took the first empty seat that we saw. There was minimal space in the stands and it looked as if there was only a small space next to Draco and I that could only fit two or three students.
Unfortunately, mostly for Draco, Hermione and Ron were late to the game as well and they decided to sit awkwardly next to us.
I didn't have a problem with Hermione but things were still slightly tense with Ron and I. Draco sighed annoyingly but I nudged him as the game started.
We all eagerly watched as Madam Hooch blow her whistle. Quaffles and bludgers were sent into the air and the small snitch was already out of my eyesight. I tensed up as I saw George and Fred stick their tongues carelessly at each other while aggressively throwing bludgers at the Ravenclaw teammates.
Draco nonchalantly watched the game and acted as if he was bored and didn't care about it. However, I was watching intensely and getting more nervous than I ever thought possible.
Harry waved at the four of us from his position outlooking the stands and Hermione, Ron, and I all waved back.
The chasers went back and forth between the two teams and it was a pretty close game at first. Nonetheless, the Gryffindors began to make shot after shot which exponentially increased their lead.
Harry suddenly caught sight of the snitch and he soared down to grab it.
"GO HARRY!" Hermione stood up and started supporting her best friend.
I smiled at her but quickly got distracted by George as he swooped down close to me and sent a wink. I blushed immediately and a couple of guys wolf whistled towards me in the stands to which I ignored.
Harry swooped down and caught the snitch professionally. The crowd went absolutely feral. I followed suit and stood up while cheering for the Gryffindors. The Ravenclaws sighed and groaned in defeat from across the quidditch pitch.
The Gryffindor team radiated euphoric energy as they landed on the ground and congratulated one another.
I didn't exactly know what I was doing but I spontaneously ran down the stairs and onto the field, leaving Draco surrounded with Gryffindors.
Fred and George were chatting about the game with Harry and I ran over to them. I then tackled myself into George's arms and wrapped my legs around his waist along with my arms around his neck.
He stumbled back a few steps but gained balance and hugged me back tightly. After a long sentimental hug, I jumped down and stared up into his deep brown eyes while he gazed into my e/c ones. He leaned down and gave me a quick peck on the lips.
"I can't believe you hugged me. I'm drenched in sweat," he chuckled while wrapping his arms around my shoulder.
I smiled up at him. "I don't care! I'm so proud of you. You hit so many people."
"You look good in that sweater," he said.
Harry smiled nervously at me and Fred did his usual wink whenever George flirted with me.
"I'm going to shower and you should too but meet me in my dorm because I'll take longer than you," I recommended to George.
He nodded and we walked back into the school after that intense game of quidditch.
I skipped off happily to my dorm as George rushed into the changing quidditch rooms.
Once I arrived, I took about a twenty minute shower, got dressed, brushed and dried my hair, then walked out of the bathroom.
George was lying on my bed with a picture and a piece of parchment in his hand, examining both of the items carefully.
"Whats this?" he softly asked.
"A picture of Ron."
"Obviously, why do you have it?"
"I think memories are important to keep. It doesn't mean anything," I assured.
"I know. What's this then?"
"Oh, nothing," I said while crawling up next to him. "Just a kiss list."
He shifted from his position on his back and reached over to put the items back in my nightstand drawer.
"Is this the sentimental drawer?" he asked while chuckling.
"It can be," I said while leaning over to give him a kiss.
He leaned in as well and he decided to pull me up onto his lap. My legs were wrapped around his waist and we were both smiling through kisses.
"You're a good kisser," he said in between breaths.
"You too," I replied when a small opening occurred.
I ran my fingers through his hair and his hands gripped my lower back to pull my close to his chest. His hot breath lingered near my face and I was feeling exceptionally exuberant in his presence.
The door creaked open and I expected Pansy to walk in. At the moment, I wish it was Pansy.
Draco Malfoy had walked in along with Blaise next to him.
I whipped my head around, preparing to send a snarky comment to Pansy but I witnessed the two boys and hopped off of George's lap, feeling flustered.
"I told you not to go barging into peoples dorms," Draco whispered to Blaise.
"How was I supposed to know?" Blaise shouted. "I just needed to get Pansy's wand, she left it on her bed."
"Go on then!" I urged.
Draco leaned against the door and scoped out the scene before his eyes.
"I never thought I would experience this. My best friend and I walking in the girls dorm to get his girlfriends wand and seeing my other dearest friend with her ex-boyfriends brother — who is now her boyfriend — making out on her bed," Draco not-so-simply explained the situation.
"I never thought I would kick my girlfriends friend out so we can continued making out on her bed," George retorted.
"No need to get so defensive! We were about to leave," Blaise assured.
I stayed back and observed the three boys make snarky comments to one another while Blaise rummaged through Pansy's blankets.
"You guys should go now," I suggested as Blaise picked up the wand.
Draco smirked mischievously. "Now we are currently getting kicked out by the boyfriend and our friend."
"Malfoy, shut up or we are going to have a problem," I irritatedly replied.
"What are you going to do? Hit me?"
"If you don't leave in the next ten seconds than you'll see."
His eyes traveled down my body and he grinned widely.
"You're learning, princess."
George stood up but I stepped in front of him and pushed his chest with all my might which caused him to stumble back on my bed.
I walked over to Draco and Blaise, spun them around, and shoved them into the hallway while uselessly locking the door, as a simple spell could unlock it.
"Why'd you push me?" George asked while looking frustrated as I turned back to walk to him.
"You were going to hit him!"
"He deserved it," he muttered.
"I'm not going to the hospital wing for another injury this week!"
"Did you hear the way he was talking to you?"
"Of course I did! I'm used to it by now and you should be too. It's just Malfoy being himself. He always tries to get a rise out of people. I don't know what you expected."
He took a deep breath to calm his anger down and then he stood up. I had the impression that he was going to leave but he unpredictably walked straight up to me and threw me over his shoulder.
I giggled giddily and he placed me down on my bed.
"Where did we leave off?" George asked.
"Right here," I whispered while pulling his collar and smashing our lips together.
After a while of more making out, and slipping our tongues into one another's mouths, we fell asleep in each other's arms in the warm blankets upon my bed.
