Emily's P.O.V

All day I've been thinking about the man that looked as if he was chasing me and about the sad howl I heard in the woods. This place is weird. None of the girls at my new school look human. They're all little versions of Barbie. All the guys were very muscular... not that I minded. It's almost like I was completely out of place.

Dylan seemed very nice, he's also really cute. He didn't think I was a freak. That's a good start. I guess.

I decided to go for a quick walk in the woods. Nature always helped me get away from my stress. Where I used to live, there wasn't a lot of forests or nature. Normally when you think of Arizona you think of desert or hot but actually there was a really nice pretty forest behind my house.

I was about to head back home before I heard a few twigs snapping making me jump out of my skin. I turn around to see tall white wolf with the most prettiest eyes. He walked towards me, I flinched out of terror and he stopped. I have never seen a wolf before, yet one 10 feet away from me.

"Please don't hurt me." I say to him, it's not like he can understand me though. Animals like me but I haven't heard good things about wolves. Suddenly the wolf lets out a small whimper and lays down on the ground bowing it's head to me. I hesitantly walk towards it, just in case the wolf decides to get up. I pet it's head and I hear soft purrs coming from him. Well at least I think it's a him. Either way they were so cute!

"You're so cute." I say to him and he lets out a tiny growl. It makes me fall back crawling away from him a small bit making him let out another tiny cry.

"I'm sorry Mr. Wolf, but I have to get back home" I say to him almost terrified and start walking back.

Garret's P.O.V

My wolf and I went out for a run. We didn't like that we scared our mate, we don't want her to be scared of us.

I was about to head back to my pack but I heard someone walking. Who would be walking in the middle of the forest. Then my mates amazing scent came flooding back.

I turn around to see none other than the most beautiful girl in the entire world. My mate.

"Please don't hurt me Mr. Wolf" she says terrified. I look at my shaking mate. The thought of her scared of me makes me sad.

Does she think I'm going to hurt her? I would never hurt my mate.

I let out a small cry and lay on the ground to show that I won't hurt her. Wait- she's walking towards us. Yay! She's walking towards us!

She pets my head and I purr in delight. The sparks danced across my fur, like lightning coursing through my veins.

"You're so cute Mr. Wolf!" She says.

I let out a small growl. I'm not cute. I'm sexy. Cute is not in my description. Emily quickly hopped up and inches her way back. 'We scared Mate again' my wolf cries.

"I'm sorry Mr. Wolf but I need to get back home" She turns around and starts walking back. No! I don't want her to leave. 'Go get Mate' 'Follow mate' my wolf says.

"Mr. Wolf are you following me?" She asks me. Her voice is so pretty. I nod my head and continue to follow her. I have to make sure she gets home safely.

Emily's P.O.V

As I walk back home the wolf began to follow me. In any other situation I would be terrified, but a sense of comfort washes over me, like the creature was protecting me.

He walked into my house with me. Thank god my dad isn't home, new pets aren't his thing. I sit on the couch and Mr. Wolf hops on me.

"You're too big to be a lap dog" I say to him. He licks my cheek and I let out a soft giggle. I hear his soft purrs and I smile.

"You're such a cutie" I say. He lets out a tiny growl. A tiny gasp escapes me but I don't feel scared, he won't hurt me.

"I'm guessing you don't like being called cute" I say to him an he nods his head.

"Well I guess I need a new trait for you Mr. Wolf. What should I call you?" I ask him. It's not like he understands me but I like talking to him. He definitely makes me feel safe.

"I'll come up with something eventually, along with a new name"
