《Unknown》Twenty Eight: YouTube

"So? What's the plan?" Zoe asked as she gave me a quick hug. Now that both my siblings were here we moved over to the sofas, both of them seemed apprehensive due to my silence.
Fidgeting with my hands I focused on my socks, the dull black ones that I threw on and don't even match. "I want to make a video with both of you." I stated and waited for some form of response whether it be confusion or agreement. "Not with me behind the camera or checking the footage but actually in the video. It's time to tell everyone, I want to tell everyone there's another Sugg." They both exchanged glances before focusing back on me.
Zoe gave a small smile whilst Joe pondered, "Are you sure you're ready Ali? We don't know what sort of response this will get, whether or not people will think it's genuine or just one of Joe's pranks." Zoe huffed and brushed her out of her face.
"We have old videos from home, family pictures and portraits. There's so much we can use to make them believe it." Sighing I held my head in my hands. "I'm tired guys, I don't want to be a secret anymore and I know it was my choice to." Joe wore exhaustion as if it were a light jacket as I continued, "But this is my own decision. I can handle it, I just want to be known and not fear." Standing up in front of them they glanced down to the shaking of my hands which I then hid in my pockets.
A pause loomed around us until Joe slowly nodded and stood in front of me. "Okay." He muttered at first before placing his hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes. "Just, just prepare yourself Ali." Smiling back to him I merely nodded and we proceeded to get the required equipment to film this video.
We all sat down on the sofa in the living room, Joe in the middle with me and Zoe either side to him. Once he tested the lighting and sound my throat clenched, my hands began to tremble and I struggled to focus on the camera. "Ali?" Zoe spoke with concern in her voice as her hand was now on my knee. "Take your time, it's alright." Always was the supportive figure I needed, after a few deep breaths I motioned for them to start.

"So today you can see I'm accompanied by Zoe, and someone else." Pointing to me I waved to the camera with a smile on my face. This would be a good thing Ali, just remember this. "Now the thing is, we haven't been entirely honest on YouTube about our family." He paused and struggled to find his wording again.
The silence lingered so Zoe spoke up in his place. "Family is always a tricky concept to manage on YouTube and we try and keep our family out of it most of the time except each other, as this is something we're known for." I kept still and was unsure where to look most of the time, glancing to and from Zoe was my best option. "Yet we haven't been entirely honest, there is someone we haven't mentioned before but please know this is the entire truth."
Exhaling loudly I lifted my head, suddenly feeling millions of eyes on me as they inspect every aspect of me as a person, who I am, why I'm a Sugg and how I don't belong. "This is our baby sister, Ali Sugg." Joe wrapped his arm around me and I smiled to the camera.
At this point we planned for me to say a few things but I could barely focus on my breathing let alone a little about me section. "Here we can include some family photos and home videos, if that's alright with you two?" Merely nodding Joe continued with the video but halfway through him talking I stood up and walked out of the room.
Heavily panting I collapse at the bottom of the stairs, completely helpless. "Ali?" My whole body could not stop shaking and instead of lifting my head, he came down to my level. "Can you breath with me, it'll be alright just focus on my breathing." Rapidly I shook my head, I didn't want him to be here, I couldn't stand it.
Yet, once he began to breath in and out I moved my head and joined in. Everything else became out of focus and all I needed to do was concentrate on him, something I didn't expect to do again. Slowly but surely my heart rate decreased, the shakes become calmer and more like trembles. A small smile emerged on his face, a selfless act. Something I no longer thought was within his capability.

Standing up I silently thank him as he walks back into his room, unsure what else to do I think through the plan. The plan. Seeing this as the perfect opportunity I walk over to his room and quietly knock. Glancing upstairs I can hear my siblings chatting between themselves about the video, giving me enough time before they ask if I'm alright. Hesitantly the door opened and he peeped his head out.
Clearly surprised to see me he straightened up and cleared his throat. "Ali, erm can I help you?" His voice got higher at the end as he questioned himself what he was saying. Resisting the urge to roll my eyes I lightly laughed.
"Would you like to get a drink with me sometime? For old times sake?" Batting my eyelashes at him I felt vile inside, this better be worth it.
Taken aback by this he lent against the door frame and deliberated with himself over an answer. Mentally I groaned, knowing what his answer would be. "I mean, sure." He tried to sound as if it were nothing, play it off as if it were me asking him to move aside.
Forcing a bright smile to him I patted his arm, "Can't wait." And then I did the unspeakable, I winked and felt myself dying inside as he lightly laughed in response. With that I headed back up the stairs and straightened myself up and resumed my seat for the video without another word being exchanged, we continued.
"My name is Ali Sugg. I was adopted as a baby as my birth parents had passed away, all of us knew this so there is no awkwardness or misinformed news. Zoe and Joe are my family, it's not as if me not being on YouTube was due to isolation, it was my own choice." I continued to explain my side of the story, who I was and we all relived old memories.
The air eased around us as more was explained, laughs were exchanged and we all wore bright smiles by the end. Hell, even I was genuinely happy with the outcome. "So yeah, this is the Sugg/Mitchell family. Please be respectful and take in mind our own privacy. We just wanted to tell you about Ali as it's about time." Joe chuckled and I nodded.
He finished the video with his usual ending and then he got up and turned the camera off. Zoe nudged me and I just brushed my hair out of my face and released a light laugh. "This is weird." I spoke up and Joe paused as he played back a small section of the video. "Like, soon they'll know. I won't just be Ali Sugg, I'll be known for being your siblings." Exhaling loudly at the thought I collapsed back into the sofa.
"But on the plus side, no more secrets." Zoe inputted and Joe nodded in response, if only I could tell her, actually tell her the whole truth.
But no, I'm stuck telling lies. "Of course," Grinning to her I sat back up. "no secrets."

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
