《The Runners Lover》Chapter 1

Hey Thomas" Minho said "wanna go for a run?"
"Um I don't know" was the only reply he got. Minho wasn't gonna take that for answer though. "Aw com'on shuck-face, do it for me because you lurveeeeee meeeee"
"Your nasty Minho" was Thomas's response.
"But you know it's trueeeee"
"Minho?"
"Yeah shuck-face?"
"do you see in grievers I can sacrifice you too?"
"Get your shuck butt up, were going for a run. Don't argue"
"Ugh fine"
Thomas got out of bed and started getting ready with his runnieundies and size 11 running sneakers. For some reason he was struck by memories of the maze which was weird because it had been over 3 weeks since he had had memories of wicked's terrible variable plans. He didn't know if Minho has had any of theses flashbacks or not, or if his flashbacks had stopped. For the most part Thomas's flashbacks had stopped and he had managed to block most of the memories away. Except for one, the Newt memory....no no no, Thomas shakes his head and the image floats away. He wasn't going to recall that memory if he didn't have too, it wasn't worth it. Recalling that memory would make him I
depressed all day and Minho would surely notice and suspect something. Minho still doesn't know what happened on the way to the airport right before the explosions of wicked headquarters. And Thomas doesn't intend on sharing any bit of what had happened to Newt with him. At least not intentionally, no way at all. It would make life hard, plus Thomas couldn't stand risking his friendship with Minho. He wasn't even sure Newt would want Minho to know.
All he knew was that Newt had only trusted Thomas with what he wanted to happen, not Minho, not Jorge, Not Brenda, just Thomas and Thomas felt that what happened should stay between them. God only knows what Minho would do if he found out.

But Thomas didn't want to dwell on memory's any more. He had had a change of heart and suddenly wished Minho would hurry up so that they could get out and running.
Minho came down the stairs several minutes later, looking lost in thought.
"What's up Minho?" Asked Thomas.
"Hmmm? What? Oh nothing." Minho replied still looking out of it.
"......um.....okay then! Let's get going!" Exclaimed Thomas.
"Okay....you da boss." As he said that Minho smirked, remembering their first gathering in the glade.
"Nice one Minho"
"I'm so funny"
"Yeah, funny looking"
Minho who was smiling now pouts like a two year old. Yet Thomas still feels affected, rushing to his best friend he says " no no buddy I was just kidding I love youuuuu"
Minho's smirk returns and he starts laughing "you said it! You said it!"
Confused Thomas asks "said what?..."
"You said you loved me, YOU SAID YOU LOVED ME!!" Minho exclaims while jumping around and dancing.
"Well why does that make you so happy?" Thomas voiced his curious thoughts.
"Oh well um....you know....maybe....you know?" Minho stutters happiness slowly dying down and cheeks flushing red with embarrassment.
Thomas confused as ever said "um what do I know?"
"Well you know? I....I...I...I"
"let's just go on that run." Thomas gives the easy escape
"Okay" Minho says glad for the excuse to stop talking

The first one added the system, the 2nd fused at least 20 known planets together and the third was earths old moon crashing into the new planet. Each time it heralded in a new age. The 16th age started 13 years ago after the end of a 2000 year war between the land-based races and the Shahuagin. This is a story about friendship, colonization, and rebuilding. And lots and lots of battles This is Drakons tale. Quick note: If you leave a bad rating please leave a review of why you don't like it. Don't just leave a 0.5-star rating without a reason. On that same note. If you leave a 5-star rating let me know what you like about the story. Between the two ill know what works and what doesn't. Update 3/24/2021: Because I got a few comments on it: This is only my second novel ever. My first attempt is also on this site but abandoned. With every chapter I write, I feel like I'm getting better. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Polly and Drake
Drake has been searching for a job as a personal guard, but wherever he turns, he is kicked out without fail. It's not that he's terrible with weapons, or inattentive. It could be because of his obvious racial heritage. Or because of Polly. With his funds dwindling, the only remaining option is to become one of the Cursed: poor souls that work for the Dragoneye Guild. In other lands, they may be called adventurers, saviors or even heroes, but not in the White Desert. Here, they are shunned and ignored. Depraved people who forsook their humanity for money and fame. With this choice, Drake may not only fall from grace, but also become one of only a few thousands capable of unearthing the secrets of ancient times. If he could get this guardsman notion out of his head. May contain gore, violence, profanity and traumatising content. Taking another shoot at this writing business. I write for fun and when I have time. There is no plan. The story may change drastically from what it starts out - or not. We'll see what happens. Currently, I'm aiming for a Slice of Life with LitRPG elements at a later time.
