《The Queen and the Singer》Meeting

Ámbar POV
Ah, so good to be back at the Blake. Everybody adores me like I was some kind of celebrity, which of course I am. After all, I AM the Queen of the Skating Rink and the Queen of Jam & Roller. Everything was normal and I was going to meet with my best friends Delfi and Jazmin.
But that's when I saw Matteo, my ex, with her new girlfriend, the girl that took everything from me, Lunita. The most insufferable girl that ever existed. Besides, she doesn't even know how to dress well. After all, she is just a chiquita that messes with everyone's life. But I would not let them ruin my day.
So I approached them.
"Matteo, Lunita, how are you?" I asked.
"Fine, we're great," Luna said.
"What do you want, Ámbar?" asked Matteo.
"Why, Matteo, do I not have the right to ask how are you? Well, doesn't matter, I hope you have a nice day," I told them. Note the sarcasm in my voice.
I said goodbye and headed to class as the bell rung. And because of Luna and Matteo, I didn't get the chance to meet with Delfi and Jazmin. Oh well. We sat in our usual seats of last year as the professor said an "important" announcement.
"Okay guys, we will be having a new student this year. I expect you to be nice to him and please make him feel welcomed. His name is Simon Alvarez. Come, Simon." He ushered a tall boy with brown hair into the room. Wow, the guy was hot.
Ámbar. Control yourself. You don't need any more boys in your life after Matteo.
I was brought back to reality when I heard the professor say something.
"Let's see, Simon, where will you sit?" he said. He looked around the classroom for an empty spot. And I couldn't be more surprised when he found one.

"Why don't you sit over there by Ámbar, Simon? Go on, go on."
I noticed (a little too late) that the seat beside me was empty. It was usually occupied by Jazmin, but I suppose she was sick and didn't came today. God damn it. Now I have to sit with a total stranger. Great.
"Now guys," Professor Ramirez said, "you will be working on a year-long project with the person next to you. You will need to write a report about your partner and everything related to them, to get to know each other better. You have the rest of the class to start. Good luck."
Good luck. Amazing. Totally amazing. Now I'm stuck with this Simon Alvarez for the rest of the year.
"I think we haven't formally met. Simon," he said, and held out a hand for me to stretch.
"Ámbar. Ámbar Smith," I said, and stretched his hand.
"So why don't we start with the questions?" Simon asked. "Okay, you go first," I said.
"Who is your best friend?" he asked.
"I actually have 2, Delfina Alzamendi and Jazmin Carbajal. Now my turn, who is yours?"
"A girl named Luna Valente. I believe she also studies here and, besides, she's the reason I moved here from Mexico," Simon said.
"Wait. Luna?!" I practically yelled and everyone looked at me. I didn't care.
I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing. He MOVED here because of Luna. How could anyone do such thing? It is unbelievable. I bet Simon is just like her. And that is a disappointment, because I was starting to like him.

All of which changed when, one night Yewon was kidnapped by a spirit, pulled into a balete tree, and brought to the broken heaven of Paraiso.
