~~~~~
It's safe to say that since you were in the hospital for over a month and you've been laying around your house for 3 weeks you were out of shape. Derek had taken every chance to say that you two were gonna start training the second you could. And today was that day. You got the all-clear to start training again as long as you didn't go too hard.
Saturday 10:00am
He wouldn't let you forget it. Not a day went by where you didn't complain about it. On the upside, you were able to convince him to get there at 10 and not 7.
But today was the day your lungs would collapse. Derek loves running, especially when it comes to run with someone else.
He had picked you up and made sure you didn't panic the whole car ride.
When you finally pulled up to where you assumed was Derek's gym. He ushered you to the indoor track. At least he was nice enough to not let your freeze. It was at least 30 degrees outside, not as much snow as last year but it was still there.
You dropped your bag on the floor and started stretching cause cramps were a bitch. Derek has walked away for some reason. Your phone rang when you were stretching out your legs.
"How's the zoo." You said. Jack had been begging to go to the zoo for a while now. Aaron tried to tell him that they'll go when it gets warmer but he wouldn't let up.
"Fine, Jack asked me where all the non-zoo birds are, I tried to explain it to him but he wanted to hear it from you." He explained. There was a big smile across your face. You fixed your posture as he passed the phone to his son.
"Y/N?" His little voice came through.
"Yes?"
"My daddy said that all the birds are in the south, is that true?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's too cold for them here. Even their feathers can't keep them warm." You explained it in the simplest way.
"Are they gonna come back?" He sounded disappointed.
"Yeah, when it gets close to summertime." You stood up and continued to stretch out your legs.
"You promise?" He asked. His voice was soft like he was afraid you weren't going to promise him.
"I promise buddy, we can even go back to see them when you want."
"Really?" You could hear the smile on his face.
"I'm sure we can both convince your dad." You heard his giggle and then a deeper voice came through.
"What did you tell him?" Aaron asked.
"Nothing." You smiled.
"Mkay," He hummed. "Well have fun training."
"I will try, I love you."
"I love you too." He said and hung up.
Throwing your phone back in your bag you see Derek walking over with a large water bottle.
"You gonna sweat your ass off in that hoodie." He said.
When the two of you went on runs you would wear a sports bra and leggings so you didn't suffocate. Now that there was a scar running down the side of your stomach you didn't feel like wearing little clothing.
"Well isn't that the point?" You asked. He raised his eyebrows at you.
"I don't care that you have a scar," He said getting straight to the point. "I told Emily the same thing, the only thing I'm focusing on is pushing you that's all."
"Fine." You caved, it was a good thing too because you were starting to get hot.
"Be sure to tell Hotch I said that too." He laughed and then instructed you to do 2 warm-up laps around the track.
~~~~~
"Oh come on now!" Derek's voice echoed through the gym as you fell on the floor.
"I did a mile in 5 minutes." You panted out. "That's my personal best." You laid on the floor in a starfish pose.
"5 minutes and 15 seconds and it's 2 miles."
"Nuh-uh," You took a deep breath. "I heard about," Pant. "What you did to," Wheeze. "Penelope and Reid." You smiled and inhaled. "You're such an asshole."
"Ok it may not be 2 miles, but we need to get this to 5 or under," He dangled the stopwatch over your face. You tried to lift your arm to grab it but it just went back down to the floor.
"Derek, I can't feel my legs." You groaned.
"Well, that wouldn't be the first time." He smiled.
With that, you hoisted yourself off the ground and chased him around the track. You had forgotten how fast he runs. Earlier he had slowed down his pace to stay next to you. He kept looking behind him to see that you haven't given up yet.
"See I knew you could keep going." He said.
You could hardly feel your legs but you kept going. But when he looked back again he tripped over his bag. His face went straight to the floor. You saw an opportunity so you took it. You put your legs on either side of him and pulled his arm up to his back.
"Say you're sorry." You demanded.
"Never." He said so you pulled his arm further up his back. "Ok, ok, ok." He groaned. "I'm sorry." After giving his arm one more pull up you let go and stood up. You put your hands on your hips and tried to catch your breath.
Before you had time to be fully relaxed, Derek had come running at you like a linebacker. You yelled out when he lifted you off the ground. He threw you over his shoulder like he would with his jacket from time to time.
"Derek put me down." You yelled like a little kid. You balled your hands up and punched his back. You kicked the air yet he didn't let you down.
When he did put you down it was in the center of the track where the mats were.
"15 situps, go!"

After that long day of training, it was time to take your fittest. It was a pain in the ass but you did it.
You did your mile, the obstacles, and your gun test. You passed with flying colors.
When you finished you showered and decided to visit the team. Making your way up to the 6th floor you could see the people moving around. The sounds of papers printing and coffee brewing filled the air.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Emily asked when she spotted you. She was pouring herself with what you assumed was her third cup of coffee.
"I got bored." You shrugged you walked over to her.
"Hotch is gonna be mad that you're here."
"I think I can deal with that." You winked and walked to your desk. You dropped your bag off and looked to see all the papers that had piled up. When you opened them you saw they were everyone else's reports.
At this point, the unsub had attacked Agent Hotchner by strangling him with what was seen as a belt.
Your eyes popped out of your head. You looked down to see who signed it.
Derek Morgan.
Looking over to see Derek was typing something at his computer.
I'll deal with him later.
Closing the file you walked up to Aaron's office. Throwing the door open you stepped to his desks and threw the papers down.
"What are you doing-"
"You got attacked and didn't tell me!" You yelled not caring who could hear.
"I didn't want to worry you." He got up from his desk to shut the door and close the blinds.
"I'm always worried, it comes with the job." You lowered your voice. Lifting your hands you undid his tie and the first few buttons on his shirt.
The bruises around his neck were already healing. He had done a damn good job of hiding them.
"I don't know if I should kiss you or punch you." You said.
"I suggest kiss." He had already put his hands around your waist. You punched his chest playfully.
"Are you ok?" You asked, trailing your fingers over the bruises.
"Yes." He grabbed your hand. "How did the fittest go?"
"Fine, I should be reinstated by Wednesday." You said and buttoned his shirt back up.
He tried to do it himself but you swatted his hands away. It was silent as you tied his tie. His hands never left your sides.
"You know when I come back you can't hide the fact that you got attacked anymore." You adjusted his tie to how he always has it.
"I'm sorry, I didn't tell you." He lifted your chin with his finger. You leaned forward and kissed him.
"It's ok." You kissed him again when there was a knock at the door.
"Come in." He pulled away from you and turned to face the door.
"Sir we just got a- Y/N!" Penelope screamed as she opened the door. She ran to you and threw her arms around you.
"I didn't know you were coming by- you didn't tell me she was coming by." She looked at Hotch.
"I didn't know until 5 minutes ago." He said.
"I would say we should get lunch but a case just came in- oh yeah that's why I came in here." She stepped away from you and turned to Hotch. "Sir we have a case." She said and rushed to the briefing room.
You followed them into the room and sat in your normal spot. You were met with smiling faces. Technically you weren't supposed to be working but no one was gonna spot you.
You watched as Penelope passed out files. That's when Spencer walked in. He had gotten a haircut. You hadn't seen him in a few days so you didn't know if it was new. But by the way, everyone was looking at him- it was new. It was longer in the front. Very...different.
"Did you join a boy band during lunch or something?" Aaron asked. You would have expected to hear that from Derek or Emily. Even JJ but never him.
"Aaron!" You slapped his arm. You looked up to see Spencer's frown. "It looks great." You added.
He gave you a tight-lipped frown.
~~~~~
You were fighting against the clock for this case- well you always were but this time it was different.
There was a huge snowstorm heading for Virginia in the morning, but when you look at the weather it was already snowing. No one wanted to get stuck in Wyoming.
Lucky after hours of being huddled up by an evidence board you finally got a lead. It ended being your guy. You caught him before he was able to slit the throat of another victim.
"We can take it from here, y'all should get home before you get stuck here." The lead detective said as you all started packing your things up. Hotch shocked his hand and help put things together.
Getting to the airport at just the right time. The flight was long enough for everyone to get their work done and sleep.
Once you landed you happily went home with Aaron, because you were gonna be stuck in a snowstorm you'd rather it be with him.
It was close to 10 when you finally got home. Aaron released Jessica of her babysitting duties when you looked out the window. The snow was so light. There was hardly an inch on the ground, but you were expected to get more.
Jessica said a quick goodnight to you before leaving. Aaron went to go check on Jack but you stayed by the window.
You had always loved snow since you were little. Christmas has always been your favorite. Waking up on Christmas morning everything seemed so bright. You smiled to yourself until you heard Aaron speak.
"You gonna stand there all night?" He whispered.
"You know what would be great?" You ignored his question.
"What?" He walked over to you and took your hands in yours.
"If we had a snow day."
~~~~~
A/N: The snow day and weather all together is based off of what I have experienced. I live in Illinois and it was 60° at some point last week and it's supposed to snow tomorrow.

A Cleric's Life for me.
This is a casually written story loosely based on TTRPG games like DnD and Pathfinder. The attempt of the story is to have a slow growth in power and comical set of characters who eventually grow close and set off for more serious adventures. There will be plenty of familiars and funny tales that don't involve combat. The intention is not to be a goody-two-shoes cleric story where nothing bad happens. The intention for this story was a slow paced grungy story where everything seemed great at first and things just kept getting worse. I learned how shitty of a story that is to write and honestly I am just not good enough to get the idea down. I plan on revisiting it later.

These are concepts of outtakes/bloopers that could've been the perfect form of comedy and could've saved the Mixels show.
