seungwan sighs, feeling sort of relieved as soon as baekhyun walked out of the door. she ran up to the bedroom and had her back against the door as soon as she closes the door.
what now? she asks to herself.
hell, she wanted to leave. badly. but things could turn out rather worse if she doesn't go on, things might turn a lot more worse for her sister. she pictured herself on that table earlier with baekhyun and she almost felt irritated by it. the whole time, she was uncomfortable and feels like she's all the over the place.
she was about to plop herself down on the bed when she heard a gentle knock on the door. she sighs and steps back, not uttering a word.
the door creaked open and there stands baekhyun's brother. he purses his lips and closes the door behind him.
silence hovered over them and after a few more seconds, taehyung sighed.
"just wanted to check on you."
"now you see. does it make everything better?"
"fuck, i'm trying to help you here," he takes a few step towards her, "i'm trying"
his voice was gentler this time. seungwan swallows the what felt like lump in her throat and diverted her eyes away, waling towards the bed.
"i just want this to be over," she clenches her fist as she sits, looking down the floor.
taehyung takes a quick glance at his watch and brushes his suit down before stepping back and leaning against the wall, looking straight ahead. he didn't know what to say because he was never good at comforting. at the very least, that's what he thinks.
he looks back at her and wanted to beat himself out, trying to know the reason why exactly is he doing this. is it because there's sort of a familiarity behind her eyes every time it made contact with him?

"that's why we're doing this."
that was the last thing he said before walking out of the room. he knows it wasn't enough to make things a lot more better but god, he wasn't any better, either. he was the bare minimum, his brother the incomparable. at least that's what their father have always made him feel.
he bid his goodbye to their maid after receiving a call from his dad. no doubt it's about the meeting and he's probably getting a beating because of going home drunk god know when.
he walks in the direction of his car, overall shiftless with everything that's been happening.
seungwan couldn't calm herself down as she paces back and forth inside the room. she's trying to convene ideas on how she could get in touch with her sister. she gave up after an hour and ended up lying on the bed, letting the listlessness swallower her in.
and as every debility cradle her in, the tears that has stained her cheeks had dried. there hasn't been a good sleep. no, not for her. but she needed to take a rest, she wanted to take a rest.
and as she does, the door to the bedroom jarred open as a figure clad in a suit slowly walked in. he heaved a deep sigh and before he could stop himself, he had snared on the edge of the duvet and pulled it over her.
