《iron souls | gajeel redfox x reader [OLD]》.:9:.

It's been three months since you and Gajeel confessed your emotions for each other, and Gajeel felt like doing something special-even though you weren't together for that long. The both of you haven't done anything quite 'romantic' yet.
Well, Unless you count hiding in a corner and making out as being romantic.
You walked into the guild today, chewing on a spoon. You wore black sweatpants and a white shirt. Your hair down, with your bandana, as usual.
You had found another interesting book. You didn't read much, but when you do, the book had to be extremely interesting. It was a manga called Attack on Titan. You looked away from your book and looked around the guild for Gajeel.
He wasn't there.
"Hey Mira, where's Gajeel?" You asked Mira.
"He's not here today, I guess." she said, flashing you her signature smile.
You shrugged and went over to Erza, Lucy, Natsu, and Gray. They looked at you, strangely. You just continued chewing your spoon and reading your book.
Gray read the reviews on the back.
" 'Fiore's equivalent of the walking dead'. (y/n), what the hell do you read?"
"Something way more interesting than your love life that's for sure." you shot an insult at Gray. "Like honestly, man up, man."
"Damn," Natsu muttered.
Erza mumbled what the back of the book wrote.
"So to sum it all up, its a post-apocalyptic world of these man-eating giants known as Titans. All of the left over human population lives within these walls meant to protect them from these Titans. But one day, the Colossus Titan breaks down part of a wall and let's in all the other Titans to eat the humans, or something like that. The main character, Eren Yaeger, threatens to exterminate all Titans because they were the reason his mother is dead. So practically its people committing suicide." Erza explained.
"Uh, no. The only people that end up dying aren't main characters...eu, nevermind. And also, these so called 'suicidal people' just happened to save humanity. Twice." You said. "don't judge a book by its cover."
"Well, I mean...that's what you do." Lucy rolled her eyes.
You shot her a glare.
"I bet you the only reason you decided to read it is because the cover is a hot guy fighting a monster." Natsu said, his hands behind his neck.

"Imagine what Gajeel what say to that." Gray chuckled.
"Oh, shut up." You blew a piece of hair out of your face.
You stood up and walked out of the guild. You headed towards the big tree and sat under it. Your (h/l) (h/c) hair flowed with the light breeze.
You were extremely intrigued by your book. After about 15 minutes, Gajeel snuck up beside you and startled you.
"Ah! Oh...Hey Gajeel." you muttered.
You've been reading a lot of Attack on Titan lately, and you had a nightmare about it. You were slightly paranoid.
"Another one of your stupid books, I see." he rolled his eyes.
"Umm, it's not stupid. You like fighting, don't you? This book revolves around fighting." You said in an a-matter-of-fact tone.
"Tch...Whatever." he mumbled.
"I didn't see you at the guild today, where were you? Oh, and where's Lily?" You asked Gajeel, placing a bookmark into your book.
"You'll see." Gajeel smirked. "Just be ready at around 7:00. Wear something...nice." he got up and walked away.
At this moment, you were questioning your existence.
'What the hell is Gajeel planning?' You thought.
-
You where getting ready for whatever Gajeel had planned. You wore a simple black dress that was knee-level. The sleeves were like a tank top. You put your hair into a simple bun, wrapping your bandana around it like a bow. You also put on some rose red lipstick for an extra accent.
You heard a knock on your door and got startled. You rushed towards the door to answer it.
Knock knock knock.
"I'm coming, dammit!" You shouted.
You opened the door to find Gajeel in a...black suit?
"If anything, I'd figure you'd wear that hideous white tux." you smirked, tightening his tie.
"You look good too," he scoffed.
'Wow, I've never seen her in a dress before.' Gajeel thought.
You took off your socks and slipped on a pair of black flats.
"Shall we?" Gajeel offered his arm. You just rolled your eyes and chuckled.
"Alright, alright." You slipped your arm through his "but where the hell are we going?"
"You'll just have to wait and see." Gajeel said.
You walked away from the forest and your home.
-
Gajeel lead you to the big tree at south gate park. You were surprised to see a little table and two chairs made of iron under the tree. There was also two small, lit up candles in the centre of the table.

"Did you do this?" You asked.
"Sure did, just for me and you." Gajeel softly kissed your forehead.
It was perfect. And a little cliché.
You sat down in one of the chairs and Gajeel sat parallel to you. A light blush appeared on Gajeel's checks and you giggled.
"Honestly, I didn't know you were capable of creating somewhat romantic dates." you said.
"Well, I did it," he said. "and I did it at the very spot we 'properly' met."
"Yea, you did," you said. "Jackass."
you and Gajeel giggled.
Pantherlily came towards both of you, in his battle form, wearing a tux and holding a tray, that seemed to have been covered.
Lily lifted the lid. "Sushi. Bon appetite." He set two plates of sushi down. "oh, and bacon. Gajeel, this is not the best combination of food." he set down a plate of bacon and your eyes sparkled.
"(y/n) loves sushi and bacon so..." He answered.
You cocked a brow and sighed. "well played."
you started to gobble up the sushi and bacon as if you hadn't eaten in 5 years.
When you were finished you wiped your mouth with a napkin. Gajeel stood up and held out a hand. You gladly accepted it and got up. You two walked to your place.
You intertwined your fingers with his and walked hand in hand with Gajeel all the way to your home. You opened the door and Gajeel let go of your hand.
"Hey Gajeel? Why not stay over a bit?" You asked Gajeel.
"Ok." he stepped into your house. You kicked off your shoes and went to your room to change. Gajeel just laid down on the couch.
You came out of your room wearing the same black sweats and white shirt from this morning. You went to the kitchen, and opened up your cupboard filled with alcoholic drinks.
"Want a drink?" You asked Gajeel, pulling out a red wine bottle and two wine glasses.
"Sure, just a bit." Gajeel said as he untied his tie and took off the jacket, leaving him just wearing a collared shirt and black pants.
You filled up the glasses half-way as Gajeel headed over to the island. He grabbed his drink.
You both lightly tapped the glasses together, you and Gajeel had a sip from your wine.
"Interesting night. But quite cute." you said, spinning your wine glass.
"Yea." Gajeel took another sip from the wine.
"Y'know, we still act like the immature dorks we were before we started dating." you pointed out.
"Yea, but I still love you, regardless." Gajeel mumbled, a light blush spread across his cheeks.
You finished up your wine and headed towards Gajeel.
"Loosen up, Gajeel." You unbuttoning his blouse, revealing his chest a little.
He was looking down at his wine. You cupped both of his cheeks and made him look you in the eye. He still had a red blush on his cheeks.
"Your not acting like the cocky bastard I know." you said. "why are you so kind and gentle around me?"
"I-I...don't," Gajeel was cut off by a kiss. He gave into the kiss and pulled you closer. He tasted like the wine you had just had. You broke apart, a small string of saliva connecting your lips.
"Hurt me, cuss at me, I don't care." you said, grabbing his shirt and pulling him towards you for another kiss. You broke apart again. "I want the Gajeel I fell in love with back."
Gajeel pulled you by your waist, and you began making out. He thrusted his tongue inside your mouth. You stood on your toes. Gajeel lifted you up, placing you on the countertop. You broke the kiss momentarily, and took a breathe, soon crashing your lips with Gajeel's again.
You began to unbutton Gajeel's blouse, and he began to shake it off his body. You ran your hands down his muscular chest. Gajeel took off your shirt.
"Ahem," you were interrupted.
You and Gajeel immediately stopped kissing and you quickly tried putting your shirt back on.
"Uhh, Lily!" Gajeel scratched the back of his neck. You hopped off the countertop.
"Sorry if I interrupted anything." Pantherlily apologized.
"Nope! Gajeel was just heading home." You said, breaking the ice.
"Okay..."
"Bye Gajeel." You pecked his lips.
"Bye (y/n)."

For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like! Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter. I hope you enjoy the story, comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

How to have fun in an apocalypse (Rewrite)
After spending an unsavory amount of time in hell, our protagonist finally manages to escape the place that had kept him captive for so long... again. Unfortunately, even after plotting and planning for years, he ends up in a place not much different from the burning and agonizing Tartarus he once had to call home. Guts, blood, and carnage start to reign over Earth as soon as he set foot in it, much to his dismay. What use is it to cry over spilled milk, though? Tired of the monotony of endless torture, he steps into the world intending to have as much fun as possible. While others might try to raid the Orc Lord with as many people as possible, why not challenge him to an arm-wrestling tournament? The power of friendship will surely be on his side. Why hide from the big, bad wolf in one of your houses if wearing camo in plain sight should have the same effect? Now, making friends and going on adventures would be perfectly fine, if it wasn't for the fact that he hides a few more secrets than one might think at first. This is a complete rewrite! Due to being unsatisfied with the previous version, I have decided to work the story up, beginning from the older chapters! Version 2.0 includes: - enhanced writing and editorial skills - additional information and aspects to characters - minor deviation from storyline and improvements

Unfortunately for Selva, everything in her life has to be an ordeal. Updates every weekday, but not on the weekend. In true NaNoWriMo fashion, I will not be using my typical editing process here, and will instead simply vomit words onto your screen as quickly as possible, trying valiantly to avoid asking myself "oh my god who CARES" because tangents are important to wordcount.
